I don't know why, but every batrep I see with Angron just results in him getting absolutely deatroyed before getting into combat
That's cause he has no rules to protect him till he gets into combat. I mean Ghaz has no more than 3 wounds per phase, and he is just a very large Ork. You would think a Daemon Primarch would have something similar, but he just gets nuked during the opponent's first shooting phase.
@@shadowcaptaincain It was a joke, but yeah I think they shit the bed with Angron's rules. The other two are tanky/reduce wounds/ways to reduce hit rolls, but Angron is just fast with a 4++. The Bloodtide token "rebirth" ability is interesting, if not broken, as seen with how Winters killed him several times and only losing BECAUSE of Angron repeatedly Distraction Carnifex-ing. But, they really need to atleast give him some sort of ability that prevents him from dying far too quickly, like a -1 to hit ability that, lore-wise, stems from a massive influence of Khorn, making people more violent and angry, so therefore less precise and patient with their shots, or something to just give him a bit of survivability
@@randomguy3849 no, Angron is fine as it is. If he has the ability to revive, he must be glass canon. Having to kill a PRIMARCH several times per game is not fun.
Yeah Angron is probably one of the nastiest models in the game right now. Being able to just get back up and deploy anywhere on the table is nuts. Even at 8 wounds he can solo most things on the table

I mostly dropped out of watching batreps after Angron (but the disinterest began with votann, angron just was the las drop). Who the hell made his rules? Even here, winters and stylus laugh "hahaha he just dies" and such, but he won the game by tying those thirteen and girlyman, round after round in the freakin map edge. It's truly stupid.
I'll just stay out of 40k altogether at least until they'll add some cool really warhammerish faction to counter the votann cringe (maybe full rogue traders, maybe full inquisition), cause I won't be bothered to come back just for "hey, we fixed Angron".

Ever since the lion came out I’ve been begging for someone to do a battle report like this where all the primarchs are at peak efficiency and just go at it. I have the 3 daemon primarchs and I might have to start a loyalist army just so I can do one like this

The loyalist primarh color schemes look really nice, Lion technically is never supposed to be or has ever been represented in green so the so dark green it’s black looks nice especially with your Ben 10 deathwing. Golden gilly looks nice too

@@WoffBoot I think Magnus reminded me of the reddish Cyclops in Sinbad, and their scale made me think of Talos towering over everyone in Clash of the Titans... it's that same epic feel. Yeah, was an awesome game...awesome come back too!!
Mortarion is actually larger than I thought, and Angron smaller than I thought.
I think a big factor on Mortarion is that his feet aren't touching the ground, but instead he is hovering slightly above. Makes him look taller than he actually is.
Can the forces of Chaos tame the Lion? Looking forward to watching this!

Great battle report though i noticed a lot of rerolls that seem like they would be turned off from mortarion since it is within 9.
I have an idea for a multilayer game, and I want to run it by you guys. It's called hungry hungry guardsmen
The way to win is to have as many guardsmen under your control at the end of turn 5.
Rules and setup 10 guardsmen models per player are randomly scattered around the table if you every get in with in a inch of a guardsmen it joins that unit and can even fire but movement is limited to the movement of the guardsmen if a unit dies the guardsmen move at the end of the turn using a d6 and a scatter die. Turn order is random. Guardsmen count towards base contact for melee attack so they can't body block the same thing for gun ranges.

This was a splendid idea, and exactly what I wanted to see in terms of giving the primarchs everything you can. However, even that's not enough. The daemon primarchs (at least) should feel unfair. Angron should thrash and hurt everything around him when he dies, and Magnus should get some kind of psychic death throes too. Give Angron a bull rush, where he can just charge in a huge line and get a bunch of attacks on every unit he passes through. Magnus should be reshaping the damn battlefield for Tzeentch's sake.
The limited amount of damage the Nightbringer can take in one turn (phase?) is a great idea, and I think that should be standard for the big boy characters like that, like their version of the plot armour that the little characters get where you can't target them if there's things around them or whatever
Angron should only haven alowed to cone back once. And don’t think there should be generated blood tithes points when all world eaters was gone. But it was fun to watch.
So what did you name the Doom Slayer in disguise? I mean, the Dark Angel?
