Would like to have seen high side pressure reading after cleaning the coil, as always nice video.
the cloged condenser was most likely causing over amp on the compressor which can cause the capacitor to fail quicker. good catch guys
Well dang it Jim I'm number four just getting home from a long 10-hour day doing dirt work and grading so I did dig out a 30-in stump with a skid steer and that was no fun hope everybody else had a better day than me then hey Mikey you keeping your boots dry

i used to use titan pro by the boxes , never had any issues. any cap would have failed with a coil that dirty but titan hds are just as good even better i guess
I just picked up a DeWalt 20 V compact power washer.
Might want to look into that for a coil-clean.

MARS USA made caps go in all my residential units I sell. Haven’t gone back and worth the additional cost to put in batter quality parts.

This goes out to all the home owners out there who are somewhat handy!
1. Clean your coils annually
2. Change your air filters every 2 months
3. Change capacitors every 5 years
4. Clear condensate pipe annually
These 4 things will keep your system running excellent and double or triple the life of your system! Keep your hard earned money in your pockets and not the pockets of your neighborhood HVAC guy!

I don't notice any difference when coil cleaning from inside out or reverse. Seems to get clean either way. Great video.

Sorry Mike. You gotta be using the titan USA pros or the green colored trade pros. I just looked an an oval dual capacitor from 1990 on a Lennox unit, tested right on the dot microfarad wise. Can't beat USA made. 💪

a couple things, have you looked at the coil gun that Chris from HVACR Videos uses? You likely would save a lot on the amount of cleaner you use
Also would brushing the coil off with a paint brush first then a good pre spray help to clean the heavy debris off before putting cleaner on?

Change cap check amps on compressor. Caps dont go out on their own. High amps and overheating will drain the caps

Possibly never cleaned? I'd knock off the bulk of the crud with a soft brush, first.

The issue with Chinese manured stuff is that it's a crap shoot.
