We invested in walkie talkies, been to many jobs where phone wouldn't get reception in attic and it's nice not having to call, just hit the button and talk. Thought it was silly but after the first job we used it on we use them all the time now.
The good ones are the radios where you can clip the receiver over your shoulder and clip walkie-talkie to your belt for easy access. Would highly recommend for Mikey Pipes and team.
Similar to what cops use.
Daniel really took the opportunity to take it seriously. I remember when you hired him. Today, his application to other companies would be top of the list., Way to go Daniel. And Mikey, keep him at that pay rate.
Tight quartets but beautiful istall as always. Peter has come along way....good to see him doing more....Him and Daniel are both great guys you are blessed to have them.
Need more of these installation videos. Keep up the great work 👍
Have a Blessed and Stack filled week guys. #LoveBosch #LetsGoBosch
Hi guys
Daniel has made leaps and bounds , and due for another raise .
He's a great worker like the other Mike.
Anyway food for thought!
At least a bonus
Love you guys
I have the identical system. Quite impressive. Well worth the money
This looks incredible!!! ❤
I used to work for an oil pipeline company and we had to pig our pipes regularly.
Have a good week Mikey Pipes
I think people would love this 💕
Best pic, we appreciate this post! 💗
This is amazing work
The doctor of pipes
Glad you got that job I remember the other video
Daniel and his molestache. Great video.
Appreciate you guys and just love the channel and all the guys, you, Mikey, have a great team and just make HVAC & plumbing FUN! Love watching you guys work and the attention to details and making things work “tits” as you say, AWESOME! Also like how you embrace the tech👍🏻 cheers✌🏻
Raw, uncut and unedited....a man who's not afraid to admit his mistakes......Well done by you and your Team, Mikey!
So, how was the Wedding?
I kinda miss the old intro and outtro to the vids, but, it’s because so used to seeing them; so, hopefully the new ones (which look even more professional than the others; not saying old ones weren’t pro looking….cuz they were bomber awesome!) will grow on me😄
Cheers y’all ✌🏻
# LOVE BOSH
OoOoHhh I like this one😍😍🌹
Mikey your tin work could defiantly use some work
Thank god for bubble insulation to hide that p.o.s. Home made ductwork and 18,000 investment being protected with 1.99 air filter w.t.f
Absolutely beautiful...💥💥😘😘😘😍💞💖
Is there a need for an external control like carrier when installing the heatpump furnace combo? Or does the Bosch t stat act as the controller
Thanks
That evap coil is identical to the run tru/ameristar coils. The condenser looks like them too except the top is just a little different. I’ve been thinking about putting a Bosch in my house.
Ameristar and oxbox. All the run trus I’ve put in have been the trane aluminum coils. But I noticed that the Bosch had a lot of similarities to the ameristar. Kinda weird😂
Mikey what up my guyyy!!!
Great job! Is the Bosch IDS2.0 + furnace good for the weather of Toronto Canada? 3T AC and 80K BTU furnace system is enough for a 3500 feet house? Planning to replace the HVAC system for my house, but hesitate between traditional Carrier AC+furnace and Bosch IDS2.0. Could you give me some suggestion? Thank you!
The X's on the plenum are called CrossBreaks
I just want to name this .."fabulous"
did they core bore for the 2" vent,,,dont think so
Simply fabulous 👱👱👱👱👱😻😻😍😍😍
Great job! Where did you get the pipe wipe kit?
I watched a video from a year ago on Bosch and they were talking about it not controlling the humidity correctly on a single stage system. Mainly because the heat pump runs at so many speeds and the furnace would only be a single stage blower vs the variable speed blower in the Bosch air handler. Have you had any issues with this after installing to a gas furnace with a single stage blower?
That’s good to know!
I have question for the furnace did you guys have to level it 1/2 inch forward or keep level ? Because i liked the Bosch equipment but i was kind of thrown off when Bosch said that there furnaces need to be tilt forward anywhere from 1/2 to 3/4 inch to help them drain. Just curious that’s all
Wanted to see how you guys got that condenser in there
This is what everyone does in quarantine
Usually with my tstats the reversing valve is on the heat
Nice!

Hi, Mike. Great video. You are such a treasure to hvac community. Currently I hired a hvac company to install a Boash ids 1.0 for my house. The original control wire from coil to condenser is two wires used for AC. The hvac company install a transformer to take care of C wire. After two control wires are connected, system runs fine in dual fuel mode with exception of that furnace does not kick in during defrost mode. Could you please let me know whether it is possible to use two wire to run Bosch condenser with help of the transformer in condenser. Or. a new set of control wire needed to be run.
You probably already know but with the Bosch if the old pipe is 7/8 and you put in a 3 ton which is normally 3/4 you can use the 7/8 as long as it’s 40’ or under
I if not mistaken saw that the trap for the bosch furnace wasn't used?...
It's kinda like the carrier furnace trap...
Hey Mike I have a question about the surge protector. Where are those connected into the disconnect, we use those on all our installs but I am young and have never been on an install and never seen how these are installed so if ya could give me the best explanation to the best of your ability that would be great. Thanks for another great video today!
Oh ok, thanks Mike! I really appreciate it!
I had pretty much the same dual fuel system installed in my house back in October. They installed a Honeywell T6 pro thermostat model TH6220U2000. Is this the right thermostat for this unit or should it be something else like a Bosch thermostat?
@@PipeDoctor thanks! What thermostat do you suggest?
Hi, I decided to go with the same system( Furnace and HeatPump) both Bosch. If you don’t mind asking how much total with installation will cost roughly.
Mikey, can I pair a 20 Seer bosch heat pump 2.0 with a hydrocoil (using hot water from my furnace) for hot air in the winter. How does that work? Does the bosch shut down and send a signal to the furnace to kick on? I have a air handler in my attic which probably will have to be a Bosch handler 9currently a carrier).
You'll need a Rib Relay for TT
Do you happen to have a link for those pipe cleaning thingies?
Is there an LP kit for the BGH96? I've watched so many BOSCH videos the last 2 days, and I feel like I've seen one where you mentioned an LP conversion, but I have no idea if I'm making it up because I want a BOSCH system and need an LP kit
@@PipeDoctor thx, I just found out that the LP kit comes WITH the furnace, which is pretty fkn handy
How come you didn't move it 4 to 5" to the left to gain better service access for the blower? Just asking.
@@PipeDoctor didn't see low enough in video. Nice job as always. I've seen you crawl into the most awkward spaces in attics to run line sets. Boys not experienced enough yet? I used to be self employed and do that. I know how much it hurts the following day
Hey on this furnace, if I want to reduce the fan speed to the lowest possible setting when fan only mode is on. How do I do that without affecting speeds for other loads for heat and cold
Thermostat has that option in the BCC-100
I have this same system including the Bosch furnace, and it's great, but my biggest complaint is that the blower runs in second stage speed always on both heat and cool. I notice the blower is using about double the electricity of my old variable/modulating furnace which negates some the efficiency from the heat pump. My installer says that only one blower speed is possible, but I am suspect. I am using a Honeywell IAQ Prestige thermostat.
Following your question, i have the bosch bova 39 2.0 case coil is MAC3036BNTD my furnace is a goodman modulating gas valve and variable speed motor, pro one thermostat all set up for duel fuel, but when on just a/c it doesnt seem to cool down my small home, does fine in heat mode, and it wont automatically switch the emergency heat, im kind of stumped the guy that installed it said it was a great set up, he is no longer alive and there doesnt seem to be any tech’s that have bosch experience
Where do you get those bosch hats
Are all variable speed blower motors ECM?
I believe so. The two types of ECM motors used in hvac systems is the "constant torque" and the "variable speed". And the lower seer equipment have PSC motors with a capacitor but are not an ECM type motor. Those three are the most commonly offered options available today
Airforce none looks a little down today.
Hope he ‘s alright.
Prob to much of the bottle and the o face the day before.
Amazing how the 3ft electrical space requirements are thrown out the window where you are. AHJ palms must be greesed.
God....I can only imagine what an electric bill is for a house this big with all those hvac systems.
Would love to find out.
Looks like a condo.
do the bosch ids 2.0 system heat pumps go below freezing?
Yes they do. I believe 100% capacity down to around 19 degrees.
Rated to perform to as low as -4⁰f
Why is the balance point so high? With such expensive gas I would think closer to 25f would be ideal.
it looks nice ,,,, but... I would really like to see that beautiful furnace up on 4 inch cat blocks.
do you ever install horizontal condensers?
@@PipeDoctor Would give more space in the tight spot the condenser was in.
@@GoatzombieBubba and blow right into the other condenser beside it😂
What's the total cost on this?
Mikey !@#%^ pipes time
Explain the “piggy’s” to me….and what pipes were being cleaned, Mikey!..Thanks!….appreciate you feeding us!
The pipes are the copper lineset that connect the indoor and outdoor unit. The pig is just a foam plug that gets "shot" through the pipe to clean out any old oil.
Mike what is your code for tru teck tools.
I’m confused why you didn’t pull new thermostat wire so they have full capabilities of the Bosch 🤔🤔🤔. Very expensive investment; why not use all it can offer? On another note, hope Mike is doing well with his Covid-19 👍
Depends on where the thermostat is. You might have to poke holes in the drywall to run the new wiring in which the customer may not want to have to deal with.
@@mph5896 I completely understand. I just don’t understand how people can allow a state of the art system to be installed that can’t operate at 100% of design 🤷♂️
Every time I look at his mustache I think of Ron Jeremy...
Tell Peter to not be afraid of making mistakes. Hopefully he lightens up a little bit. Life is too short.
Buy the hilmor pipe wiper it’s better I used to have that one your using
The only bad thing about that Bosch is the poor owner is now going to realize just how freakin loud that other condenser is gonna be!
Colemans.....
English mustard....
Hot Hot Hot....
Yummy...
Cheers Mikey..... 👍
Where I live, quarantine is 3 days after positive; than your good to go, which imo….makes zero sense 🤔 🤦🏼😜
COVID is bad case of the Flu...cannot wait for the day the masses realizes that burn down the cities 2.0.
why not Fast stat 500 it ? It gives you 4 extra wires. Its extremely efficient piece of equipment why only run it in first stage ? Is it fair to the customers? Might as well just install 14 SEER system with 96% efficient furnace.
Mikey pipes. Who’s sells Bosch 2.0? On Long Island. Thanks
@@PipeDoctor I’m a contractor. And I know you sell and install. I actually have a customer who is a mechanical engineer. And he
@@PipeDoctor and he has an idea to match a Bosch heat pump with a unicorn air handler.
756 thumbs uP
It suck down the road pulling that blower assembly.
@@PipeDoctor hey I just know from being a tech and if you go to 7:24 in the video I don’t think you could. Love your channel just saying
7:45 in the video
@@PipeDoctor I hope you did Mikey fucking pipes.
@@PipeDoctor I’m not a hater just pointed at what I seen. Ooooooo face
I'd pay 40 for one of those let's go bosch shirts
@@PipeDoctor send me one too
May want to teach your three employees to elevate furnace….just a thought.
Buy furnace feet. Don’t set em in the floor
Lol Jewish food I like that lol 😆
Sell Bosch to the neighbors.
Why did Daniel scoff at your generous offer of the Jewish doggie bag? There are some serious religious discrepancies in the pack. Not sure what faiths Air Force None and Peter practice.
Junk
@@PipeDoctor He's just pissed at the world since he has to make breakfast every morning for his wife's boyfriend.
I agree. The buyer will never recover the added cost of a system like this. The energy savings will be worthless when the repair bills starts rolling in. Hopefully Bosch will make parts for this unit in a few years. I have heard nightmare stories of Bosch parts availability.
@@testtesting2868 if installed correctly they don’t go bad unlike other parts 🤷♂️
Have mine paired with solar in CT. Pretty much, no heating or cooling energy bills. In my case, I will be recouping the cost for the panels and the Bosch system really fast. @@testtesting2868
