As soon as they ran the plate, they jumped in the car and left. I was still on the ground and they hollered out the window sorry, wrong person. I took no offense because I understood they were after a bad person that had the same car. It had nothing to do with race, the cops were black and I am white. This Clip presents cops in fear of black people period. That isn't true at all. 95% of these encounters are based on your actions and behavior that tell the cop thru training that you are a threat. Are there bad cops on power trips yes. But it's not the 50s, there are no cops running around fearful of black fathers with 2 young kids in the car. They may be surprised to see it since it is so rare today, but this clip is 100% garbage
@@chrismcallister3495Cute bootlicking rhetoric, but the facts say otherwise. All of the modern behavior is based around Terry vs Ohio and officer safety, which is a bullsh!t metric. Next time you hear about "officer safety", bring up that ONLY 136 officers died on duty in 2023, (car crash #1) while they killed 1,163 people. Making it ELEVEN TIMES more dangerous to deal with a cop than to be a cop. BTW, twice as many whites are killed by cops than blacks, bc it's not a race thing it's a pig thing. The real scary part is that cops are trained to support, defend and lie to protect each other instead of protecting citizens. You'll see it in every one of the over 4000 "bad cop" videos currently circulating the internet, if there's another officer present they are doing whatever they can to back the other officer, and nothing to defend the citizen being victimized. It's an institutional issue, starting at day one of the academy and going all the way up. Judges need law enforcement for protection, so unconstitutional rulings like Terry vs Ohio and Penn vs Mimms keep piling up, making the situation worse. Policies like qualified immunity that were NOT voted into application keep being granted that protect officers who cross the line from consequences. Instead of taking any accountability for this, law enforcement has declared open war on the population they were supposed to be sworn to protect, and war only ends one way. Sooner or later, the amount of Bootlickers will become less than the true American patriots who remembers that we have a second amendment just for dealing with a standing army that threatens our right to freedom like modern law enforcement does, and it will TRULY start to get ugly. Now, get back down on your knees, those boots won't lick themselves.
Dads “Hold on for a second” while approaching a officer with hands outward is wild. Kids “Getting out and coming around vehicle when you should remain in vehicle is also wild. Cops “wild” Why do we not see both sides of these situations, in real life and while filming. So many things everyone involved could have done better in this situation. Side note takes a second for someone in back seat to appear and start shooting. Especially at night.
So, fun fact, in 27 states, we get stickers for our plates when we register our car every year. If my sticker was expired or missing but i did pay the yearly registration, it wouldve come up as active when they ran my plates.
Well, he asked a standard question, “Is this your vehicle?” you were a (d) and said “it’s on the paperwork” He said don’t move, and you moved towards him. Funny thing is, I’ve been in this exact scenario. Exp tag is a completely reasonable explanation for a stop. Cop asked, “ Is this your vehicle?” My response.. Yes Sir it is. Man was doing his job.
So disrespectful nature allows for the state to step out of bounds? Nope. You may think that's how it works in your religious world, but karma doesn't actually exist, nor does Hollywood logic. The cop gets sued for excessive force, considering the totality of the circumstances, and the cop that drew his gun is getting desk duty til the lawsuit clears. You won't hear about it though, because it will be an undisclosed amount and stuffed in the far back page of the paper that no one reads.
ALWAYS and i mean ALWAYS ask if their bodycamera is on. If their camera is not on, you can report the officer for failure to turn body camera on and it could be classified as tampering with evidence. No officer who is afraid of being on duty, should not be trusted with a gun.
So let me get this straight, the cops act expectant that the name is going to pull a gun or something, so they pull theirs without ANY reason to show that he’s likely to have a weapon? Then points a gun directly in the face of a child… Cops shouldn’t be ready to pull their gun out at every time they get surprised. Using a lethal weapon is supposed to be a LAST resort, not a first.
I have seen and heard many such incidents on online about racist discrimination in US. I hope potential victims should just come to my country. No matter on which part of my country you decide to stay I sure every Indians will treat better and welcome you with open arms. Our tradition says guests are gods coz you never know in what face the gods might visit you. That's why we treat everyone with open arms.
« Is this your vehicle? », « it’s in the paperwork ». A simple « yes officer » would have saved everybody the rest . But we wouldn’t have this episode to comment on. So good planning for keep the show going on
No one ever forgets when a police officer oversteps his bonds and threatens you and your child’s’ life. A cop pulled me over for going ten miles over the speed limit. I said people were passing me and I realize that I was going ten miles over the speed limit. The officer said he should shoot me on the spot, in front of my child. You never forget.
The Seargant got some sweet revenge for her family after that, no worries, and that is why if you meet a "Criminal Oppression Patrol" Officer, you fight against them with violent force, do not cooperate
This actually happens in some variation hundreds (or more) of times every day in this country. Eventually, these types of cops are going to start coming up missing. Only it won't be the public missing any of them.
"Hold on for a second," set the officer's reaction. Obviously, the driver knows what to expect from the police in these situations. He should have just complied without resistance and this would have escalated to the point where the officer pulled his weapon.

For all of you out there, if his tags are expired but the new ones are inside he still needs to put them up (usually a written warning not step out of the car worthy). If yoire asked to step out of the vehicle and the officer can produce any lawful reason that is a lawful order and you must comply (wouldnt be a lawful order in this case but best to fight it in court rather than the street for youre own health purposes), the daughter is not legally allowed to exit the vehicle while in a stop but that would be thrown out in court due to previous unlawful orders and these cops would both be placed in administrative leave, investigated by another department( ie highway patrol investigates local pd), found to be wrong, asked to resign or fired and the department would front the cost of the lawsuit.
Exactly
It's not illegal for a passenger to get out. Its illegal for them to leave the scene. Please look up your rights.

For traffic stops to be like this there has to be something seriously wrong
Well, apparently he had expired tags so the initial stop was legit. They can in fact legally order you out of the car, so that's not beyond the cop's authority either.
That is true, but the problem is that the officers made the situation worst. And literally aimed weapons at Civilians. Which would majority get them fucked, because even minor accidents are important to your job.
And if I remember correctly of what I know, wasn’t the first rule about dealing with situations in police force supposed to be “don’t escalate a situation?”
@@thenom6648 That would be "don't NEEDLESSLY escalate the situation". Honestly, I could see how a previously unknown person in the back seat snapping up quickly, at night, during a traffic stop could register as a threat to their safety.

YES we’re trying to change this so future generations don’t go through what people have and are experiencing now, but it still happens all the time!!
Just so you guys know. When the cops turn on the sirens/lights it goes straight into a data log for when stuff like this happens. The body cams and everything will practically hold that same data log lined up with the sirens data log. So If something like this were to happen it will be reviewed if reported

@mattlawson6848 doesnt matter, 90% of those incidents have no consequence for the cops so my statement still stands.
@mattlawson6848You're ignorant, blind, or biased to the point of lying! Several CZcams channels everyday air footage of recordings ppl send them, or they obtained through FOI, showing over-the-top interactions. I, myself have been involved in 2 or 3. 1, cop intentionally busts my lt cover to write me a ticket AFTER searching & trashing my vehicle trying to find drugs. I reported him & it was "UNSUBSTANTIATED!" Another one, I was stopped w/friends & held & harassed for several hours. They gave me no paperwork & the dept. had no record of them being there. But as a former Marine with a digit friendly memory, I was able to write down all 3 cruiser #'s, plus most of the cops names. After reporting it, I was told they had negative marks in their permanent records, & possible suspension. I never actually found out since I lived 90 mi. away. Plus a couple that weren't reported. I'm telling you what I experienced.
This is why it's very important to speak to your kids about what happens and how to act with police officers.... I'm not saying that this is the right way for them to act towards anybody, but think about what could have happened
