Morocco is full of treasures and we wrote down a list of things we want to buy to take home.
Be aware that this is our story and the prices we negotiated. The prices vary within regions and cities. There might be souvenirs that we paid too much for and items we reached a good agreement.
We always follow the motto: It is worth buying if the price suits the emotional meaning.

Hi, we are Lara and Laurenz and we’ve decided to turn our lives upside down. After 5 months of converting a run-down van into our tiny home on wheels we left Germany in August 2021 with the big dream of visiting every country in Europe.

Hey make sure before using the tagine, saok the lid and the base in your sink overnight then rub the interior and exterior with olive oil then place it on the oven and turn the temperature till the tagine absorbes all the olive oil, also don't forget to use a heat diffuser it's very important, This is how Moroccans prevent their tagines from cracking.
Hey, thank you so much for the tip! We didn’t know that, but we will follow your instructions
@@LaraandLaurenz .Hello The tagine must be soaked 24 hours before use Then soaked the inside and outside with oil and left on for two hours. Always have a plate on hand to reduce ..The heat 🤗 and Good appetite
Thank you! We will follow your instructions:)
Yeah 👍
🙏🙏 Moroccans tips
I’m Moroccan. I bought 2 poufs in Tangier for €130 . My mum told me she could bought them for €90. However, on close inspection some are better made and deserve a higher asking price…I’m happy with my purchase and don’t care if somebody else found them cheaper in another place 😍😍😍
That’s the right attitude! Like we said, everybody gets their own price and that’s the fun of Morocco
moroccan moms always say that even if the price was good lol
For the prices, always negociate the price, visit many shops to have an idea about the price and the materials and then you can make the final decision.
Hope you a wonderfull stay in Morocco.
You’re right, we did that for some of the things
We had the best time in Morocco!
thank you so much for helping locals make a living .
Thanks to all the handy people who create beautiful souvenirs
I wish you had a nice trip in Morocco welcome anytime.
We loved our time in Morocco! Such a special county with the loveliest people

That is true!
Beautiful people in a beautiful country with rich culture and exceptional hospitality ❤️🇲🇦
Sure it was exhausting but it deserves it 😁
The hospitality is amazing!
Exhausting but a lot of fun 😊
@@LaraandLaurenz It's in the moroccan genes😁. You'll find the same hospitality everytime you come to Morocco🇲🇦
Unchanged over time, a heritage from their ancestors that they are proud to preserve for centries, yeah it's the Moroccan hospitality ☺️
You can be proud of that! One of the best features people can have :)
@@LaraandLaurenz thank you ☺️
you don't necessarily have to make "tagines" in tagines, I use my small one to cook eggs especially when im making them with traditional dried meat (khalie) but over all you can literally prepare so many things in them
That is the best part about the tagine, you can cook so much different, delicious stuff in it!!
Hi Lara & Laurenz, I hope you enjoy your stay in Morocco, you are most welcome.
Greetings and best of luck, you are both lovely.
We absolutely loved it! Greetings back to you
Great video, hope you guys enjoy ❤
Thank you, yes we did 😊
lovely video. i hope you will keep these good memories from our country.
They hold a special place in our hearts!
I really enjoyed the trip with you guys ❤😍
Thank you!😊
I like the first seller in Ouarzazate that accepted the price you give him, and says the money is not important, this is nice image, and this is the real Moroccan people.
He was really kind!
Enjoy this beautiful country ❤️
We did!😊
I like this video so informative and amazing moroccan handmade crafts ❤
Thank you! There are just too many beautiful things in Morocco, so hard to decide what to buy
You are more than welcome ❤️❤️
Just For your knowledge that there is bidding in Morocco, even for Moroccans. These are people. This is their way of selling. Have fun ♥️♥️
And that is so much fun! You get to talk to so many people and hear their stories
@@LaraandLaurenz welcome in anytime guys ♥️
Happy to see that you enjoyed your trip in my country ! 😁✌
We absolutely loved it!
Your video was great! Now I have some idea about the basic things I wanted to get.
You are amazing, continue what you are doing. I wish you happiness
Thank you so much! We wish you all the best
Schönes Video, wie immer. Wieder größe aus FD ;-)
Danke dir! Schöne Grüße:)
an advice from a moroccan guy to our international friends remember to always bargain and bargain and bargain😂
That is a great advise!😋
💯👍
Schönes Video, schönes Land 😍
Amazing country is Morocco!!!
Everytime i see reports about this country i am surprised...this country has many different sides...Amazing
Morocco is amazing! So divers, so rich in culture and the food is delicious
Welcome to Morocco any time🇲🇦🇲🇦❤
Thank you!
Happily, I am one of the owners of a Tagine and different other beautiful things😍 Thanks laraandlaurenz!
almost got a heart attack when you agreed on 700 euro lol
It usually takes them around 4-6 months to make one of these. If they are actually real and not fake then that would be the appropriate price.
We were shocked too haha!
you guys are too cute and friendly :) nice video
loved the content
Thank you!
Morocco is full of treasures few people know' that, it's really a treasure ♥♥
It is!
I really enjoyed the video 😁
That is great!😊
How would you recommend finding the artist shops in Ouarzazate that you visited? It looks amazing and I’ll be there soon. Thank tou
Welcome to morocco ❤
Thank you!
How are you getting these items back home? You guys picked some beautiful things and I too am looking to shop and I know I won’t be able to get my items in a suitcase.
as a moroccan i can assure u that negotiation is part of our culture so pls dont listen to the ppl in the comments that tells to not negotiate and i hope u have a good time in morocco
That is what we’ve been told by many Moroccans! We loved our time in Morocco
Thanks for this video. I liked it. May I ask how much did you pay for that silver tea pot what you bought in Fez, please?
I think it was something around 7 or 8€ :)
Thanks very much:)
Marrakech is like a dream❤❤❤
It is! Such a unique city!
Nice video
Always prep your ragione before using and don't put directly on gas stove always use something under
Welcome in morroco. 🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦Welcome in history

Welcome 🇲🇦❤️
Thank you😊
Yes shopping is so exhausting in Morocco for us too but sometimes with negotiation we can buy things in a low prices 😁
That is the great thing about negotiations😋

I will buy it someday ❤😂
😂 but you’re right, it is really nice!
pls i suggest you to have a moroccan friend or aquaintance with you when trying to buy souvenirs. the negociations are good but that carpet is way off price 700 euros. it shouldve been less than 400 euros
totally agree
As we said in the video, we did not bargain all the time, but we were told by a lot of Moroccans that this is part of their culture and that’s just how it works in their country
And we never urged somebody to sell it at our price
once they see foreigners they multiply the price, this is common in Morocco
That is totally fine!😊
The leather pouf are expensive there is the cheaper one the fake leather
👌❤️🇲🇦👌❤️🇲🇦
When negociating please don't make it hard on sellers they don't make much of the traditional product. And to make more they will try to negociate with the maker, with time it will kill the craft.
Welcome to your second home Morocco, but please dont try to give a negative image of my country its normal that they will try to sell you things with higher price, you find this everywhere you go not only in Morocco. Moroccan hospitality is unmatched so yeah ....
I think we made a good job on showing the kindness and the hospitality of the Moroccans :)
And the negotiations were always fun

Next time if you want to buy anything, it"s better to go with a person from Morocco, the price will be much more cheaper
Maybe next time :)
That is a great advise thank you!
really bro you are negotiating poor bazar owner who sale handmade stuf do you really think they get client all the year of course no . so they have to afford the money for there family's ; to buy food to pay rent I think they give less price just to keep living
❤❤❤
