Shot Black Friday, 2016 (11/25/16). Assorted Amtrak & NJT action along the Northeast Corridor from Princeton JCT, Metropark, and Elizabeth with lots of Nathan K5LA horn action. In addition to regularly scheduled trains, we see a few equipment moves, consists that have borrowed Horizon equipment from the Midwest pool for the holiday week, and more. Enjoy =)

I Love how smoothly the Amfleet cars run at those high speeds. Amazing

Horizon rail car on first train is interesting, I thought they were exclusively used in the Midwest and I’ve never seen one on the nec.

Acela trains still look mean and sleek, ACS 64 locomotives are definitely a vital traction upgrade, with that heritage liveried unit looking gorgeous.

Goatkid 999 Are you a fucking idiot? A Eurosprinter is a genre of trains that hop between European cities. Locomotives can vary a lot.

The train at 3:09. Wasn't that a bizarre combination of different cars??? Even the engine seemed different. Perhaps towing them to the repair yard, red flag on the back of the last car?

The MUs on the end of the consist need a special adaptation couler in order to be towed by standard equipment...there was an ALP Iin the mix, too.

What is the track speed at Princeton Jct? I'd guess somewhere north of 90 mph. Very curvy through Metropark. Very busy corridor!

Just Curious, Why did they extend the Trenton bound platform at Princeton Junction?
Track 4 was closed so they put the temporary platform on top of Track 4 so trains can stop on Track 3

The overhead catenary goes into and through the tunnels. So the train never looses power
