Taz-Mania for the Sega Genesis is such a good underrated game. I remember anticipating the release of it when i was 11. Bought it with my alllowence that took me a few months to save up. From all the gamers ive known i think i was the only person that ever played it.
You guys deserve more subscribers. Seriously, 21k for the work you guys do? Unacceptable!

I never write comments, but I wanted to say, I love your content. I woke up and CZcams was playing one of your videos and I was hooked. I watched all of them; they brought me back to grade school and the arguments over which system was better (I was all Sega back then, while my brother was all about SNES.) Why not compare box art in the presentation category? Most of the times it's the same for each console but not in this case. Seeing the Genesis box art for Taz-Mania as a kid made me wanna play the game. Snes box art pales in comparison. Hopefully you consider my suggestion. Great work fellas. Oil yourselves up.
Not sure about the baby oil part, but I agree the cartridge (or box) art could be included as part of presentation.

Shaq Fu is the greatest fighting game to ever exist. Rise of the Robots is a close second.

I remember getting up at 4am on the weekend to play the genesis game after renting it from the shop. Way to much trial and error on a lot of the levels from memory...good times :)

I think Dan made a good point about SNES "Taz-Mania" game. As good as that game looked, it plays more like a minigame. I wonder if the SNES game was gonna be mini games for the main game, but then the Developers decided to separate them at the last minute. LOL
Side Note: Learned that Dan and Sam contracted "Covid-19". Hear there doing better now, they still can't taste or smell yet, but its great to hear they're getting better. Wishing Dan and Sam a speedy recovery. :)

But Nintendo had more Flawless victories...Victories where Nintendo didn't lose a single category...Yes, Ties in categories count...and don't Flawless victories give you some bonus points...Sure Sega has its share of Flawlesses, but no where near as much....for having overall better and more flawless games than Sega, Nintendo is still the current champ

While the Mega Drive version is the better game, that SNES game is exactly what I would’ve wanted a a kid. I never watched Taz-Mania as a kid, since although I watched a lot of old 70’s, 80’s and 90’s cartoons, I never saw Taz-Mania. However, I loved Taz whenever he appeared on the Loony Tunes, and I longed for a game where I could race around as Taz. Although I expect I also would’ve loved the Mega Drive game too, I would’ve loved the old graphics and wouldn’t mind the lack of variety.

Aww man I can't wait for *Shinobi 3 versus Hagane* , you guys still doing that? Those are definitely two of my most favorite 16-bit games, they're both so damn excellent!
As far as core gameplay goes, it's very competitive. Both of them offer a wide range of combat+movement mechanics, surpassing most other scrolling action games from the era, they both really are as good as it gets on their systems.
Both are single player games and have no save...but that never stopped me from beating both a few dozen times lol. (Particularly S3 which I do like over Hagane)
It sucks that all the regions didn't get all the best games. My most key example is Alien Soldier not coming to the states, when you guys and Japan received it, and that's arguably the best game on the Genesis/MD! Drives me mad.
But at the same time, Nintendo or Square screwed over the UK with no Final Fantasy VI or Chrono Trigger...so unfortunately it goes both ways.

The crazy thing about the Genesis version of this game is it had a sound engine that was way ahead of its time. The background music would change dynamically based on what was happening in the game or what Taz was doing.
