Fun video. To answer your last question, I only dash part time. I'm a teacher and I go out dashing around 2-3hrs a few days a week. My goal is simple. Pull in $100 a week, and I can get that within 2-3 nights. During the summer I'll be out dashing more often. I have some unexpected debt that I want to pay off faster. I've been doing this for about a year and it's been working for me. I have no plans to do this full time. I do this to help me reach my financial goals.
You can definitely bring in anywhere from 500-1000 a week..my first week i brung in 1000 but started to slow down and now i bring in maybe 3-500 a week

I do spark part time for about 3 to 5 hrs. Each day cuz i wanna quickly pay off debt. I work for coke and get off at 2pm. I do spark right after to see what comes up. I stay close to my job and walmart so it works out perfect. I currently make roughly 400-450 a week. It can be tough getting good orders cuz peopel quickly take them so you gotta keep the app open. Working to get a prius so i wont have to use my main car and use that to start multi apping/ driving to other walmarts nearby sense i only use 1
Base pay in LA went up dramatically since CA's $20/h minimun wage for fast food workers started in April. The other day, I got a $7.5/1.8 miles. It was a zero tip order, all base pay. I was so blown away I sent a screenshot to my friend. I've received several high base pay orders lately. Most of them $2-3/mile

i agree with taking a longer route if it's at least $1/mile for a higher pay. gas for driving 5-10 more miles will only cost $1-$2, but I will end up making an extra $10+ per trip since it's higher paying. if it ends near another hot spot then even better

Keep in mind that $15 order looks good but if it takes you 30 minutes to deliver it then you have to turn around and drive back and maybe you get to an area with restaurants in 15 minutes now you have 45 minutes and subsequently you have only 15 minutes to increase that hourly pay. A lot of those long distance orders are $11-$12 so that means you are likely to only make that per hour. If you do to many of those you will make very little money
I think the longer mileage deliveries depend on the market, because I’ll take longer mileage deliveries if they take me to a busy place even if it’s in a different market because I’m a platinum Dasher I can dash anytime or I can go on Uber eats in the new area.

Depends on your vehicle for door dash. Need good gas mileage
Base pay is less then two dollars sometimes on single deliveries and batches

The tip about taking longer routes to earn more money sounds like it’s about Earn By Time. Of course, we know that you might see less tips on EBT, but you SHOULD see higher base pay at least as longer trips will take longer
Longer routes for higher pay is all dependent on the amount (obviously), but also the destination. If the end of the route is near other restaurants, then it's something you definitely take. If there is not other restaurants nearby, then you have to factor in your return trip to determine if it is worth it or not.
Right now I’m at $31 for 4 hours it is really really slow because there are entirely too many many drivers in my market of Covina located in Southern California

Doordash should have a long-term program full-time base pay for $5 or more since we don't get paid vacation time paid sick time holidays wear and tear on your vehicle and that's still might not be enough
On the doordash pay per hour average is false I made $15 in 3 hours
Or maybe doordash should be excluded and restaurants should provide income for the delivery guy providing their own vehicle wear and tears add cost of gas they should provide holiday pay vacation pay etx....
