i am still searching for someone to do a video on how to properly install the throttle and shift cables on these newer mercs,
I followed my manual but i feel like mine is idling a bit fast, and it is vibrating my whole boat.

It sounds like you need to preload your throttle cable on the motor end. Hope this helps.

    No break-in needed?

Yes it’s does, but we have already done some run in time, full throttle run required for correct propeller selection and safety checks prior to hand over.

@@offshorepowerci7769 it's a great way to get the prop dialed in exactly where it needs to be at any speed, as well as putting a little more distance between the hull and prop for less turbulence. You'll never know how wrong you are until you use one and once you use one, you'll always use them. Get a good hydraulic or electric JP. Don't go cheap on it. Use a motor leash attached to the hull as well. Just in case. Don't take my word for it, go get one and you'll know. Or........, always wonder why so many of us use them?. 🤔 Do they really improve my motors performance ? Why are they so expensive? Why do others swear by them ?
      Hmmmmmm.
