chaseontwowheels lets start a new class for the Diavel we will call it a Super Cruiser
VMax next
Please
Multistrada next please?
Would love to see first ride videos on the fjr1300, nc750x, and the fxdr.
"Typically if you ride them hard, they reward you for riding them hard" Chase c'mon you dirty Diavel ;)
I pretty much never watch all 35 minutes of long videos, but I loved all of this. I've wanted a Ducati since I was 15 (25 now) and this is my hands down dream bike. I've ridden metric cruisers for years, and am ready for something more aggressive and with a little more go. Next year when I finish grad school, I need one.
Just bought my 2020 Ducati Diavel 1260S to pick up in a week and the videos like this makes me happy to own such a beautiful bike. Much appreciated for your vids
Who remembers the first diavel Chase reviewed. That video made me fall in love with this bike.
That video was the reason I bought the bike a few weeks later.
Beautiful bike. I saw one on a motorcycle show last year and it was a crowd magnet. I love the exhaust system, looks really cool.
I'm 20 minutes into your video and it's just thru and thru so enjoyable.
These are my favourite reviews of any on CZcams.
Bought the 2022 Diavel 1260, essentially the same bike just in matt black.
I optioned the termi exhaust and the quickshifter.................wow. It's seriously fast 0-150 km/h. Handles so well, easy to ride, stable and extremely comfortable. The brakes are first class.
My last bike was 2017 Ninja 1000abs (sport tourer). The Diavel is more comfortable and I was surprised that it gave me better wind protection (I'm 178cm).
I use the cruise control all the time, it's awesome.
They aren't cheap to buy but honestly it's definitely worth it. It's a quality machine and makes you feel amazing riding it.
Gets looks from men and women alike, I absolutely love it.
A first ride to start my morning? Yes please
Get more strength and wind is not an issue anymore. Don't be weak.
dmaxcustom right? I’ve ridden naked bikes my whole life. I’ve only ever had sport bike riders complain about wind when they ride my bikes 😂
@@KCbuffalo And ADVs riders...
That guy was good, made me smile. Nice ride dude. This machine was the opposite of the Duke I just bought. The Duke has won but it was a tough battle. Happy riding.....
I once heard the diavel was going to be called the "mega monster" or something like that, and somehow that makes the bike seem way more cool. Being souped up version of the monster. Love that sound, even with the stock exhaust
The best looking cruiser that you've review..
This looks like such a fun bike! I just bought a 2013 Diavel Cromo with only 335 miles on it! So stoked to get it shipped this week hopefully!
You're B-roll game is nuts man!
I’ve gotten lucky with Sanford Ducati as they have been generous enough to let me test ride any of the Ducati’s they have and that new 2019 Diavel is fantastic! If I decide to trade in my M821, I think I would replace it with the new Diavel! It’s so refined, has so much smoothness/consistency and way more power than I’d ever need for the road. It fits perfectly into my riding style that I’ve come to find I enjoy. Great first ride! As for your question I think manufactures should work on making the best product of what they have. Bikes are so powerful now you can’t use it all on the road and most people can’t tap into it so improve on everything else for safety and more bike tech!
Finally!!!! what took you so long for another first ride... congrats on your milestone, one million subscriptions WOW that's legendary
Thanks man. Yea I’ve been a bit slow on the First Rides but come September I’m hoping to start doing many many more!
Thanks man. Yea I’ve been a bit slow on the First Rides but come September I’m hoping to start doing many many more!
I ride a '14 Valkyrie. Hella sport cruiser in my opinion. And I had an '07 Hayahusa for ten years before my Valkyrie. Both of these bikes I like to think of them as nimble as can be for me. Both attack curves with ease and roll out of them with ease. Would love to try the Diavel Abs curve assist.
I can’t find the your video on the previous Ducati x diavel s from a long time, the with the really dope intro and camera shots for the bike.
I personally feel like refining the way a bike is made versus the power plants. I have only ever ridden Harleys so it would be nice to see some major developments on certain things
Hey Chase!! enjoyed the video, thank you so much, the bike looks awesome but can you do a 360 walk around of the bike when your on it. I mean you could do it after every sound check on the beginning of the video just so we could picture ourselves as you when we are on the bike, like a fashion sense kind of thing where you imagine how you would look on the bike.
Really hope you give this idea some thought, again thank you for the first ride.
I have a Ducati XDiavelS 2022 it definitely will lift the front wheel without any problems. Not many cruisers that weigh that much that under acceleration will lift the front of the bike with no effort. It's all part of the power. Which is crazy. Effortless.
I tried one a week ago, it had the Termi exhaust and the dealer had removed DB-killer, this thing sounded AWESOME!
And my reaction when i twisted the throttle for the first time on the open road was exactly like yours at 11:40 :D
I am SO tempted to just buy it, but the basic version is ~48000 USD here in Denmark...
I love this bike! Have been eyeballing for over a year... 😎
Chase! I’d love to see you on a cbr650f! Awesome videos, keep it up!
I really enjoyed your commentary. Nice review
The front turn signals are cool. More bikes should incorporate the turn signals into the body work.
About the outro question: Looking at the market right now, I think that manufacturers should continue rafining there machines and push for inovation, such as form, riding position, style and electric alternatives. Power for power sake is more of a braging right more than someting needed.
I like the refinement. You can only put so much power to the road before you start lifting the front wheel.
Loved getting to do a first ride on this bike, couldnt decide if I liked the xdiavel s forward pegs or the diavels mid pegs. Really want to snag one of these one day, just gotta make that paper first lol.
The button that locks the steering, also starts the electrics. No need to press that recessed, circle button. DRL is only available on the S only. The DRL on the S operates independently from the dipped beams.
My guy said a (slow clap)😂😂 New subscriber!!😎✌🏾
GT-R just chilling behind Chase at the traffic light
I absolutely love this bike
From the side, especially with no rider, the Diavel looks more like a sport bike. But seeing you on it, especially in the shots where we see you from the front, I can definitely see it as a cruiser
Doesn’t feel like a cruiser I can tell you
Yea, if they put in more work into their current bikes, they can give us the best of both worlds, power/driving performance
Definitely the Triumph Rocket 3 is the bike that competes with this. I think I heard other motorcycle reviews call them muscle bikes.
Absolutely a total package they need to work on ✌🏼
Hey guys, i wanna know, how is the Ruroc helmet at night? I guess with the collored visor, you are not supposed to ride at night? Let me know. Thanks!
Chase I was wondering if you were ever thinking about giving a Triumph Tiger a try either the 1200 or the 800 always wanted your thoughts on the bike
4:20 AM , I'm awake and watching a dream with my eyes open....
Tell me why 11 months after you post this. I'm watching this at 4:20 am dreaming lol
I can’t wait till you do a first ride on the v4
What equipment do you use for your cinematic shots in the beginning and what video editing software do you use?
Before the Diavel was the Vmax and before the Vmax was the V65 Magna, my first superbike.
I hit the woah too many times to that beat sheeshh🤭🤕🥺🔥🔥🔥🔥
hello from London/UK watch you quite alot and last time i watch you did a Ducait Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak, how do you feel in between these two ? i know they are different bikes but like power delivery , comfort? if money wasn't issue , which one you pick ?
Great review
How would you compare this bike to your yamaha mt-10? Acceleration, power, torqe? Fun factor!
@chaseontwowheels will you do a firstride on the new triuph rocket 3 ?
I personally went for the XDiavel. I'm getting old and the feet forward pegs just felt better for me:-) Just took her out for my first ride today. It will take a bit of getting used too, your right you have to find the right revs or she shakes quite badly. Got to run her in before I can see what she can really do, can't wait. I can see it taking all my spare money going forward but she's worth it.
Still got my old Rocket. I plain turning the Ducati into a single seater and if I need to take a pillion then it will be the Rocket 111. Sorted!
I know this is old, but I’ve never seen one, until last weekend. I went to the Indian dealership, and right next door is another dealership. It’s called “Ride Now” I think 🤔. That’s when I ran into one of these. It’s a 2022, blacked out just how I like my bikes. I’am a bagger type of guy, but I’d like to test ride one of these. I’am not into sport type bikes, but this one just looked different when I saw it.
Looking at you riding on this Diavel is really really awesome cos the sitting position makes you kind of so great, chest open wide, macho snd aggressive hihi.. tq bro.. 😬💪✊
This bike is so sick, it is the best of both worlds! I'd love to see you ride the FXDR and compare the two ( Harley lets you test ride everything btw)
Good vid, nice color on the edit
What do you use ? So that you cant see the speed? Different filter or ? On the gopro 💥🤘
its the whole muscle cruiser. vmax, vrod, xdiavel, rocket III.. to me, these are good looking (or super ugly), great torque and hp which makes things seem not right but totally right, and then they give you a weird confidence with a lot of things and you just feel great and giggly on it.. I know odd.. but when I first got on my vrod I was like I loved the look and I hope I loved the everything and BAMN.. LOVE IT ALL... that torque, that funky lean, and then the noise especially when you get a good exhaust.. and like you said how comfortable it is to be a pretty good all around moto. Now yes the vrod is not as powerful, nor can lean as far but I still love to scrape pegs, and just pull out of turn...
glad you had fun and maybe you should try some other muscle cruisers... or muscle bikes.. also look at shadetrees video to figure out what other ones are out there. cheers.
Chase, when you go buy pants, the size of your inseam is the 2nd number of the size. So if you wear a size 32-35, you have a 32 inch waist and a 35 inch inseam.
The new rocket 3R 2020 model is going kill every bike out there. If is 40kg lighter and now has 2500cc with all the electronics to keep that power planted on the road. Cant wait to ride the new rocket 3R
IS that a galaxy colored DRZ400 SM parked by the entrance of the shop?? That color is spanking cool!!
That blinker is dank
That GTR behind you definitely wanted some😂Would love to see your review of the new rocket 3😍
Kept waiting for him to mention it. He was riding his a$$..wanted some..lol
If your a sport bike rider this is your only cruiser option. The thing eats twisties. I love it
I did a nice 45 minute demo ride on a Diavel during bike week like ten years ago and have wanted one ever since. Odds are very likely that I'll have a 1260 S in my garage by next spring! Btw, the Ducati people told me it's pronounced Dee-ah-VEL (emphasis on the last syllable), not Die-AH-vel (emphasis on the middle syllable).
I never had superbike but not scare to get on and delivery end of July.
I need to ride one of these on my channel to see what all the hype is about on them
that looks perfact ducati model is durability is good?
Which motorcycle was the most difficult for you to drive ?
ps: I talk about kg, lenght and control of the motorcycle
Man that aint a cruiser. Ducati doesn't even list it as a cruiser. Their XDiavel is their cruiser with forward controls and more of an actual cruiser. I have always seen the Diavel considered a muscle bike....
Both are muscle bikes, just that the Diavel is a little more to the sports side while the XDiavel leans more to the cruiser side, I should know, my current ride is a 2012 Diavel Carbon and I LOVE THE DAMNED THING!
There’s a xdiavel that has the forward foot pegs that u we’re talking about also instead of a chain it’s a belt
I just want to rewatch your old diavel review and saw this one just uploaded 1 hour ago.
I
daamnn.. i hope i can buy this beauty one day for my dad..
Yeah, and after first "try" you would say "daamnn.. i hope i can buy this beauty one day for my dad.."
Have you ever tried the Yamaha V-max? bit a of a crazy torque thing.
Chase, have you test drive the Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 yet? I would think you would like it
If you could do a code that worked for the mtn motorsports in CA, that would be sick. Cuz i wanna buy a bike and they have what i want. And you did a first ride on it
You should do a first ride on Honda's crf250l, would like to see what you think about it compared to the wr250r as a more budget dual sport.
this or the 450l...or both :P
Do u not do bike rides with yummir6 anymore
Chase, the second number on the size of your pants is the inseam. If you wear 38/32 pants, 32 is your inseam.
You need to do a first ride on a honda rebel 500 since you cant see yourself on a "cruiser" they are really fun.
What kind of jacket is that?
Love that bike! I wish you rode it in some canyons! For the people that hate wind when riding! They need to drive a car then! I love the wing! I love how it keeps me cool and feels! Hence the reason i ride a naked bike
all the power I can get, but with a focus of performance riding, IE corners, braking is what I want in bikes..... too bad I couldn't figure out how to put that motor In my 1098, lol
What about the VMAX? I would think that is a direct competitor in what I am, just now, calling the 'sport cruiser' segment :)
Wow nice I love dis motorcycle 🥰🥰🥰
You should check out the Kawasaki Vulcan S, There's a fun sport cruiser. Literally a cruiser with a Ninja engine in it
The other bike your describing would be the Xdiavel that more of a long distance riding.
What bike are u going to buy for yourself?
What about the xdiavel different bike that’s the real muscle cruiser isn’t this an up right bike so naked??????
Cool I was thinking about one of them but got the can am Ryker
Can-Am ouch, get ready for lots of service/shop time
for muscle cruisers. there are a few. vrod, vmax, rocket 3. but this is the sportest looking. this definitely doesn't look like the standard cruisers.
2020 Rocket 3 R and GT And the Vmax Sculpt this class. check em out. And thanks for sharing.
First ride with Honda CB650r would be amazing!
Triumph Rocket lll 2020 is the closest companion to this bike I hope you will do a first ride one comes out👍🏻😉
The rocket is a diavel clone, too many similarities on the rocket for them to call it a new design frim triumph. This is better quaility by far!!
turbo busa as a first bike?
This new diavel has a shorter rake and trail, that allows it to turn in easier =) Would love to ride it!
Also ducati's (talkon from experience) don't like you half-assing the shifts. Shift it like a man and you won't hit false neutrals.
Outro crew: For the streets, power is overrated. I bought a ducati 848 evo instead of the panigale 1199 (as it was new back then). Never regretted that decision.
Request: Make a video about old ducatis! (Yes... i mean the 848 evo)....
What's about the Yamaha V-Max? That's kinda like the Diavel...
The music is insane.
You want the Termignone more than the S model package. So I went for the standard version with termignone (3k) wich lmakes this bike loose 13 pounds and gain almost 10 hp and a 10 NM torque.
Smart man! Add the quick shifter for 200bucks and you get a much better bike. The breaks on the 1260 are more than good enough and after adjusting the suspension it rocks!. The only way id see the Ohlins and M50 breaks being justified for the price is if you wanted to track it. In that case, you chose the wrong Ducati lol
What about the Yamaha VMax?? That’s a direct competitor
Also heavier
Rieska but it’s way faster. The VMax 0-60 is 2.2 seconds
You have to check out the new triumph rocket 3
