I'm so pleased that Toadie, Karl and Susan got the final 2 scenes in Neighbours since they spent 27 and 28 years there respectively as the longest serving characters. Would have been lovely to see Lou who was there for 24 years but can appreciate he is now 84 years old.

Such a shame this program is coming to an end after so long itâs like loosing your best friends/family. I want to thank all those associated with the show over the years for providing us with such an enjoyable and entertaining show. Now that it has come to an end I wish the cast and crew all the best for their future endeavours.

It is a real shame. he writers should have done so much better and the casting was shocking. i stopped watching 8 years ago when they started getting stupid with the story lines.

Watched this with my mom in the 90's and 00's continued watching as a teenager, Watched with my wife as an adult and now watching with my daughter.
My daughter used to dance to the theme tune during covid

I was 15 in 1985 when this started in Ireland. God I hated Mrs Mangle!! lol There was a neighbour on our street who used to keep our footballs when they went into her garden. We used to say "Don't let the ball go into the Mangles garden" :) I haven't watched in nearly 30 years, but the names all came back to me watching this. R.I.P Ramsay Street. Loved neighbours as when I was a kid, and into my early 20s. Iâm sad Iâve missed neighbours for the past few years. But Iâm really sad itâs going. Itâs one of my favourite soaps showing in the UK. Heck the best ever.

Watched neighbours when was at high school loved it and grew up With Kylie and Jason (met him good few years later doing theatre work). Sadly when BBC stop showing the show Sadly kept forgetting to tune into CH5 though odd times did pop over to watch it but will miss it when it goes đą

I watched the last episode on channel 5, it was brilliant. I really hope UKTV picks this up from the first episode, I know they show a lot of retro TV programmes so I am just hoping at the moment they will.

It's obviously not pulling in enough viewers. There's a ÂŁ5 million shortfall every year between production costs and advertising revenue. They can't continue funding Neighbours if it's losing them money. Shame the BBC don't want it back. I'd rather watch this than EastEnders!
@@Dark_Autumn thatâs not why they made the decision. They said they wanted to refocus on English-produced drama content. And thereâs no way they werenât pulling in enough viewers!

I love neighbours I have watched it from the very first episode I wish they could still continue showing it or maybe release some dvds featuring scenes from the past 37 years

It's a great pity that Neighbours is coming to an end. We have enjoyed every episode and going to miss it very dearly. I truly hope Chanel 10 and Peach will continue Neighbours some day. I have recorded some episodes and will cherish them. Thank you for an all time favourite family program. đ

It just shows how old some of us are getting . I remember the first episode loved neighbours, sons and daughters , shortland street, doctors. As I got older it was Prison cell block H. Wentworth doesn't cut it now.
I think you forgot to mention the best of the lot(in my opinion): "A Country Practice"!
Loved watching neighbours and home and away when i was younger, stopped watching both around 2007.
such a great little selection of scenes perfectly put together for a lookback of Neighbours, can't believe it has ended, but was pefectly ended in the best way possible without killing anybody off or destroying anything with a high chance of it coming back on the screens in the future which I think is possible due to not having to address to many of the final scenes in version. I can't believe no other media firm picked this up.

Neighbours needs to continue. It just cant end there. There should be chrsitmas specials. etc etc please keep us posted with the new ramsey street developments.
This will leave such a huge hole in my daily life. The only way back is for channel 5 to immediately start again from the beginning. The channels repeat some programs we don't want to ever see again so maybe they'd reconsider one we actually love.
GOLD on Sky used to show the old episodes they stopped after the final episode that was shown by BBC

Like Bobby Ewing it was all a bad dream. A year in real time 2 in erinsborugh and itâs back better than ever. Itâs the only soap broadcast in the uk that still feels like a soap and not a never ending quagmire of rape cancer murder and misery.

I used to have a secret crush on plain Jane the super brain đđđ I wonder where she is now??? This went big right as I was starting high and would watch it every week night. I cannot imagine if this ever gets released on DVD how many discs it would take to fit that many years of material.

We have Neighbours in the Republic of Ireland đźđȘ in the South on Channel RTE 1 and RTE 2 where I have watched it for 14 years before that I use to watch this in the UK as well I have watched it all almost all my life I'm 38 years old I will be very sad to see it go and lost without it.
I agree with you as I watched it from the very start but it dipped between 2010 and 2020 for me-Iâm back watching it now until the very end which will happen at the end of next week or the week after that on RTĂ/RTĂ Player if Iâm correct

Due to popular Australian and global support, people have created hashtags, the people spoke and they wanted Neighbours to come back for more, and so its happening mid 2023.
A legend returns and its people, it remains and we are thankful to those who are carrying it through into the future.

I have lots of neighbours dvd and vhs but i think Jim Robinson was the best person on the show he was killed off in 1993 because he was only on 300 dollars per show and then went on to earn MILLIONS on USA tv

I was born in 86, and Iâve watched it my whole lifeâŠ. Yea itâs very unrealistic I mean the medical issues make me laugh, you can be paralysed one day then totally fine the next, also pregnancies are super quick and they babies come out 3 months old, and how many millionaires and highly paid professionals live in basic houses on one streetâŠ. But I can forgive that, I still love it and itâll be sorely missed by many.

@@wretchedhandle I actually met the actress Vivean Gray who played her. She was lovely and told me all about the production of the movie Picnic at Hanging Rock that she also appeared in. Also her role as the poisoner in the other drama Prisoner.
I find it funny that the woman got some of the facts and characters wrong in the video.
Australia is full of English people most of then are English from parents and family the land originally belongs to the Aborigines the indigneos people of the land. Guy Pearce he Is English and Kylie Manogue mum is Welsh, lou carpenter in neighbours is English and Jason donavon dad is English.

And by August 1 this year it will all end! I bet channel 7 have been kicking themselves for the last 38 years over giving that IP to channel 10. It's the whole 1980's series of Neighbours that I care for (1985 to 1990), after that I stopped watching...The shows ending is not that much of a big deal to me as I have the whole 1980's decade season backed up, so I can watch it anytime I wish here. But I will watch the finale episode as well though...The 1980's timeline is about as decadent/twilight era the series will ever get!!! And where's Bouncer the dog in the final episode as well!?!!!!.............
