I remember Jackie Trent singing the first theme song ... I believe she wrote it. My son was only a toddler when Neighbours aired and grew up with it. He remembered Jane, even though we hadn't seen her for yonks! It's like losing an old friend. Thanks for all the memories .... Cast and Crew! 🥰💕🌹
Seeing madge there as if she really was when Susan was walking round. This really made me very very very emotional. I personally think keeping kylie low key kept it perfectly done. Otherwise it would have been the kylie show. What an amazing end to see des, and so many of the cast from b4. Heart touching
Charlene has finally learned the art of humility and silence. Where her character had always been boisterous, stubborn, headstrong and outspoken... She has grown to realise that certain contractual obligations make her dialogue a very expensive affair!!! 🤗
Can't forget the wedding was only 14 when I watched this in 1987 time ,I could be wrong now being 49 years old ,Amazing to think in 2022 ,Most of the Characters from the 1985/86 Cast would reunite for one last time ❤️Choked up when I found it Neighbours was ending in 2022 ,Great memories growing up watching this ❤️🇦🇺❤️🇬🇧
I watched this family members and friends over the past 20 years, some of whom are not here anymore. The old characters remind me of them. Neighbours built us to who we are today.
My first memory of Neighbours was the wedding of Scott and Charlene and have loved the show ever since. Even after watching the final episode I feel so sad that it’s all over, it’s like losing a special friend. A show that’s been going for nearly 4 decades is no more. I’m really going to miss Neighbours, goodbye Ramsey Street and thank you

The death of Sonya is still the best soap episode ever, but this was a great send off. The mix of light and dark was so much better balanced than in any other soap, which are just full of misery and disloyalty and a complete lack of human warmth for the most part. Neighbours was full of hope, and that's why I will miss it.
I think having her there, along with Jason, was just enough. Too much and they would have stole the show - it wasn’t about them, they were just a part of it.
It annoyed me that Lucy didn’t have a bigger part in the episode, she didn’t have any meaningful scenes with Paul, and no scenes at all with Scott! She is an original character after all and her role should have been bigger.
Jackie Woodburne closed the show. The backbone to Neighbours for 28 years. She’s amazing. Beautiful final episode. Shame on Channel 5. Hope it comes back. X
@@pammir631 that’s not actually the reason as it still consistently filled out Channel 5’s weekly top 20 ratings and it had almost twice the viewers of Home and Away, which bizarrely is till going. I really do think they’ll regret it in the long run, whatever dramas they commission out of the money they saved are unlikely to have the impact or longevity of Neighbours.

There was only Mike who had said he had made an offer on a house the others in the end were visiting.. It's going to be interesting though who can and will come back again .

GOD . . i remember this very clearly being shown on BBC1 weekday mornings at 9am and then repeated at 1:30pm before it went finally at 5:35pm!

Why did they decide to take off the air?
The contract with Channel 5 in the UK ran out and they supplied most of the finance for the series. They couldn't find a new network so it ended
