  • I purposely viewed the eclipse from near the edge of the annularity path in order to maximize Baily's Beads. My wife and I were 2.5 miles/4.0 kms from the northern edge near Lamesa, Texas.
I recorded the eclipse with two camera, one with a solar filter and the other unfiltered. I combined both videos into a single split-screen and synchronized the timing between the two.
The filtered video is on the left. Taken with Nikon P900, at 285mm, which is equivalent to about 1600mm on a full-sized sensor. Unbroken annularity lasted about 30 seconds as shown as this video.
The unfiltered video is on the right. Taken with Sony A1, Sony 200-600mm lens with 2x teleconverter at about 1100mm, 4K video. Unbroken annularity lasted about 24 seconds as shown as this video.
Xavier Jubier's solar eclipse map predicted 34.1 seconds of limb-correct annularity at my location.

Well done! So you didn't filter the A1? I'm surprised the sensor didn't fry!
