shouldn't your air intake hat be turned around? I know some boats keep them reversed due to misting getting in but don't see that being a problem here and might give better forced air flow to intake as opposed to low pressure suction air flow?
That probably sounds really nice. I am not into boats, but when a V8 boat goes out or into the fjords here it sounds so sweet. To bad we dont have boats like this around here.

I should park my Racing Motorcycle next to your Camp site and Rev it up to 12,000 RPM for 10 or 15 minutes!! Or ride thru your neighborhood while you are trying to relax and have 'Family Time with your kids... If you were at a Racing Event...everyone would expect the noise, and either come or stay away... But for all the OTHER people that have the same right to be at the lake as you do...they DO make Mufflers for "Public Use"...

Floyd Burdett and that thinking is why they have hp limited and pontoon lakes... or here in akron ohio the portage lakes... they are so over regulated its no fun to me i just don't bother... they have regulated times for water skiing regulated times for fishing regulated times for sailing. If you have a day off and go to the lake late in the season and try to waterski or jetski even though there is no one on the lake they stop u untill its 5 pm or what ever time... when i was a kid it was exciting to go to an unlimited hp lake and hear the jet boats and cigarette style boats on the lake. If we wanted a quiet lake i guess we could of went to a low hp or all electric powered boats lake where the only thing there is to do is fish... i like to waterski so it sucks to have a lake and not be able to use it even with a mufflered quiet boat... time and place for every thing though and this guy seems to be at the right lake at the right time so im glad he is making some noise its music to my ears!
@ serutcip3 Back in the day they had to limit the size and hp . The speed zone at Portage lakes are to small to have 30' plus boats . Back in the 50's and 60's smaller family boats were more popular . Then 30' plus boats started showing up and tearing up the lake . On a Sunday afternoon you had to be some kind of nut's to get in the water to cool off let alone try water skiing . There was people who couldn't swim and no life jackets in canoes with water skiers , speeders , small boats and big boats all in what , a half mile long speed zone ? it was crazy really!. Small boats were run over by big boat ,people lost limbs because there tow ropes were run over . Guys got stuck in the old iron channel because their boats drew to deep and would hit bottom and tie everything up! Then there's the bars and all the drunks and I am guilty but all of it sort of became out of control . Then

Spray from other boats could drown out the engine. If you pay attention , all the other boats in the class they all run scoops in reverse
