Got to Ride and Drive one of these back in the Early 70s Down in the California Delta.... Rick Frampton owned it...I don't think I've ever seen one Since.
RON Pilchowski oh so there must be a long ass drive line with a spline yoke that’s connected to a pump on the transom huh? A direct driven prop wouldn’t do much spinning 8 or 10,000 rpm would it?
RON Pilchowski dude how the fuck do you know? Are you piloting the fucking thing? Is it your build??? That’s what I figured, STFU with your argumentative comments. I’m well aware what a VDrive is you fucking ass clown!
Well being I’m running a 4-10 gear my top speed isn’t very impressive but with cheater bias plies n50/15”’s when it’s hooking up well it will pull mid 10’s in the quarter. No boost or nitrous all motor.
RON Pilchowski that flame arrestor is for those California lawmakers. While they’re the ones responsible for all the residential neighborhoods being targeted, left with I beams twisted and aluminum being melted at over 2500’F hotter than any house fire. Lol
+fla playa This doesn't have a v-drive, that's why the engine is in front. The propeller is direct drive from the engine. They are sitting in the back of the boat, at the transom, that's why its called a Crackerbox.
T Zon You are actually one hundred % correct in this instance. I have worked on many V-drives with fore engine mounting but re looking the angle here you win... Seen gear boxes almost at the bow many a time.
+jesse kitts Yawn...Is it really that important for you to think you've got bigger cajones than everyone else? These kinds of boats were ripping up the river long before your 1966-69 model drag car was on the track.
Actually dumb Ass it's a 65 chevelle and yes it does take big balls to drive this car don't take much to play with that remote control piece of shit it's not interesting it's boring
+Kevin Wynants Holy shit I wish you were positive. Hesitated replying but then thought about how Neg your comment is and wanted to tell you something.. In one of these little boats at maybe a hundred you would be screaming like her. No offense.. I bet a hundred bucks you couldn't get ANY video out of a pass in that boat.
Thank you for this. It takes me back to the time I rode with Amy Ross, they Arizona Girl!!! I miss you Amy and Jerry Ross!! RIP!
I taught my fiance how to water ski behind one of these in 1961. We celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in 2months (2012)
Hope you and your wife are both still out there. 👍
Needs a valve job. I know . I had one. Loved it
Wow, what a great ride... thank-you for not covering up that amazing sound with crappy music.... again, what a beautiful boat
That was amazing and sooo fast! Beautiful!
Man, I haven’t seen a Skip Jack run in years and years. Loved watching them race.
Is that what that powertrain is called, a skip jack? Never seen anything quite like it,
Never heard skip jack before, usually called cracker box
Nice vid man, lovin the boat. Quick question what engine u running in it??
lol hey Jared...thanks :) it was soooo much fun... I ♥ Scott haha he's so awesome :) Thanks Scott!
Motor sounded pretty good, But did I hear the man say she melted a piston?
That's a badass boat.

Very nice video Marlee! Hope it was a fun ride!
He's like "so did you enjoy that?" and she's like "WHAT??"
If only we had videos In the late 60s crazy
My family has a Mandela flat booting boat that my grandpa built in 1973
That's pretty cool having the engine in front. It must be a little hard on the ears, tho'.
I bet that thing hoops right up on a plane.
This would be great to really enjoy if it wasn't so damn loud and raise the gear ratio seems to have more power!!! yea buddy!
I'd be scared to drive this beast
Nice not hopping up and down no cav plate and as smooth as a hydro on the top end. Revolutionary V drive set up.!
Pretty sure it's not a v-drive

@@rightsidelanechoice7702 BTW that motor will never hit 10k on the rev counter not even close
@@rightsidelanechoice7702 if you look closely at 1:14 You can see the direct drive shaft
RON Pilchowski dude how the fuck do you know? Are you piloting the fucking thing? Is it your build??? That’s what I figured, STFU with your argumentative comments. I’m well aware what a VDrive is you fucking ass clown!
Very cool
Great sounding motor how about some info on size and HP output?
Oh my God the negative assholes in the comments/dislikes!
Nice ride, nothing like the adrenaline from 600-1000 HP on a few sheets of plywood.
Not sure... 90 something I think
what cools the motor? is it closes system?
Damn they don't even let the engine warmup
water cools the moter and they pick it up from what they are driving on, and it goes out the exaust
Da bekommt man ja ein Rappel, bei dem Gewackel.
so awsome
nice vid marlee its jared
Jared Wallach xc
Do you run a dry sump oil system and what top speeds can you reach?
Well being I’m running a 4-10 gear my top speed isn’t very impressive but with cheater bias plies n50/15”’s when it’s hooking up well it will pull mid 10’s in the quarter. No boost or nitrous all motor.
What is the max speed and how much is it.
You cant drink with a helmet on.
Direct drive, cool.
Didn't know dry exhaust was legal in a boat....
How fast do they go?
What speed were you at?
Where’s the Stump Bros
Aren't you getting a face full of exhaust fumes?
I sure hope you have a flame arrester on that carb
No offense so what is it a 700R4 running a pump or a prop?
RON Pilchowski that flame arrestor is for those California lawmakers. While they’re the ones responsible for all the residential neighborhoods being targeted, left with I beams twisted and aluminum being melted at over 2500’F hotter than any house fire. Lol
don.t get your jeans caught in the ever spinning drive line
Its 1 cool boat I have a jet boat
nice, but next time mount the camera on the boat,, will get less shaking around....
Or mount the chick holding the camera
Boatracer32C can you tell me the dry weight of this boat?
heavy as hell
Very Cool...........
@17sti ????
engine in the front. why?
kevin c Because Crackerbox. Very old school circle race boats (Pre K-boats).
+kevin c
1 year.. Because that's how all V drives operate. Have you ever sat in one at 100?

Ease of throttle slower less bumbs that way
rhd i like you only need a vtec
I've noticed your air intake is backwards.
+Potato Fun time ...to keep it from sucking water.

or the side of the boat,
Old Video, much respect for the engineering side but what a total waste of energy!!!!! About as useful as a 454 FWD car:)
and you might be a waste of oxygen
micheal alexander you’ve clearly never been in a boat
Son of a bitch, couldn't have picked a worse spot for the camera!!!
I hate to say it but that's not nothing get into this race car in my profile picture it will scare the shit out of you
