Range Report: CZ P-09 Tactical - Part 2
Vložit
- čas přidán 14. 08. 2024
- In this Range Report and discussion, I take a look again at a CZ pistol with military history and this time it comes from my personal collection. This is the CZ P-09 Tactical in urban grey. This gun is stock, unlike the last one I reviewed that had a trigger from Cajun Gun Works. This is a double stack, full size, 9mm, polymer hammer fired pistol that was one of CZ's entries into the XM17 pistol trials. This video documents my personal opinions, experiences and thoughts on this firearm. Yours may vary.

I just picked up a P07 tactical in the urban grey and had no idea I could swap the safety out. I had to go back and look in the box for it. Thanks
I am glad I was able to tell you! To trade it out is not that hard.
I have a non tactical P09, its a pretty sweet gun
I have been impressed with CZs over the years.
As soon as you said "You're not supposed to dry fire it" I said "Doh!." I dry fired mine a few days ago. I won't do it anymore. Thanks for this video and all of your other content!
It is ok. I didn't know either when I first got one.
I own P09 duty. It is a reliable gun. Good SA. trigger pull. I love it so much.
It really is a great pistol.
stop complaing... trigger after around 3-4k rounds is butter smooth and you really don't need any fancy trigger kit. just shoot it, it will be greatI It is CZ ;)
Lol, ok
3 or 4 thousand rounds or the cost of a trigger upgrade ? I take the upgrade 😀 Trigger much cheaper 👍🏼
@@richardfranklin5405 well, it is your choice, your shortcut. trigger right of the box is ok. social media are the one who are telling you it is not. next you put your money to a company, that tells you, that this trigger has to be upgraded to shoot well. Well, it is not true at all. Only after solid amount of bullets shots from any of your firearm you are capable to shoot well. Trigger has nothing to do with skills you learn when you practice. But if you what, go shortcuts. It is up to you.
I have a Sig P226 DA/SA, and I'm soooo used to the de-cocker, that every time I shoot a gun without the de-cocker, I almost feel naked. I adore that gun BTW. I just ordered one of these and the de-cocker (as well as the hammer) was definitely one of my considerations. The H&K P30L was also on the list (and felt ergonomically great), but the cost became a driver at that point. I didn't want another 1k plus handgun (after a few modifications), so @ ~$500... this baby was really in my wheelhouse. Thanks for these reviews! I'm certainly going to compare my pros and cons to yours and see if I have the same pros and cons. As we know... everyone is different. Thanks again! Oh... though I'm still waiting for this gun to come in to my FFL... I already bought a comp for it. ALL of the reviews that I've seen with this gun in particular and a compensator, have exceeded people's expectations. Apparently a comped CZ (only one with the internal slide and super low bore axis) feels exceptional. I'll have to keep you posted.
Congrats! I know you will love it!
still want an old school 75
They are so cool, but rare today.
I have one of the first 10,000 imported into the country. I paid $175 for it, scratched up, but extremely reliable.
I don't like to take too much time to aim. In an emergency situation, you may aim the first shot.
I totally get that perspective.
Good morning, Jason, I did some local checks and the CZed P-09 is really hard to get, but the P-10 is available, have you played with that model? Cheers
Yes! The P-10 has one of the best striker fired triggers out there. Great pistol!
Hi TGV, info points. Thanks for the video
1 You can engage safety in half-cock, which i personally like
2 You can simulate the trigger reset by cocking slide back 1inch or so - that won't eject the snapcap
3 You didnt put the link up for first video, would like to watch
4 I would enjoy your video even more, if you didn't blaspheme.
All the best
Oh! I thought I had the link in there. I will have to double check. It also might be one of the original videos CZcams took down a few years ago for some random purpose when they were going after all the gun channels.
An o-ring or piece of a foam earplug under the hammer will prevent it from contacting the firing pin. Makes dryfire easy peasy.
That is a great idea! Thank you!
I bought my son in law one for Christmas. He likes it. And yes, AFT it was transferred into his name per Minnesota state law.
I bet he will love it!
Any idea where I could find one of these exact models? already been burned by a fake website once. Thanks
Have you tried the usual auction sites?
How obout that front thing on the barrel ...is it removable??to be simillar to the other Po9....
This version has a threaded barrel. The thread protector comes off, but you can change the barrel out if needed.
Doesn't one have to feed the casing rejecter hook, one can't simply bypass without wearing on the casing rejecter hook when inserting a bullet directly into the chamber, the casing rejecter will eventually snap or malfunction, I mean you can feed the rejecter, release the slide, let it feed into the chamber as it would if it were feed from the seat of the mag... Am I wrong? xD Great vid tho! love CZ!
You might be right.
Hi. What color is that?
Urban Grey
I like it without the safety. I don’t like hand guns with safety
There is nothing wrong with that. I am I glad they make different versions.
