An official press release from Disney has since confirmed that The Bad Batch season three and Tales of the Jedi season two will be released in 2024!

I can confidently say that my nephew loves YJA. It definitely feels like a vital show to get young audiences members invested in the franchise.
Oddly enough, I think the Star Wars thing I am most excited for is that Star Wars Outlaws.
I think mainly I just want more Star Wars games in general.
Even the Lego Skywalker saga was surprisingly great.
Hopefully Episodes X, XI and XII will be a video game trilogy. No Skywalker.
This is my most anticipated as well

i hope tales of the jedi gets a longer season. It has so much potential and I'd love to see more jedi get longer arcs. Maybe a story with Cal or someone from the high republic.

I loved what they did with Tales of the Jedi.
I think the main star wars series should definitely do the 1-2 timeline. Then maybe in a few years they can do between 8- 9, another era we don't know alot about
I'm not surprised that The Acolyte will come sooner than Skeleton Crew. The trailer at Star Wars Celebration looked more polished and ready. In the Skeleton Crew trailer, the kids were still running around in their mocap costumes.
I think my most anticipated projects for 2024 are Outlaws, The Bad Batch and Tales of the Jedi. I LOVE open world games like Red Dead Redemption, just that style of game and I've wanted something like that for Star Wars for the longest time and I've loved the animated shows since The Clone Wars so I'm definitely happy to be getting more
Hot take. Bad batch is top tier content. I think it’s one of the best things Disney has done.
It is great, but honestly nothing beats Rebels for me for its storytelling so far
It has its moments, but some cringe and filler rly hurt it at times. Overall, great series tho. Rogue One, Mando S2, and Andor are best things Disney SW has done imo

Hyperspace stories was always planned to be 12 issues. Reading it in Chronological order gives a secret 13th story.
They are now shifting to the character based graphic novels

The upcoming Star Wars manga also deserves to be mentioned. I can't wait to read Mando vol. 2, Visions vol. 1 and hopefully Leia: Princess of Alderaan vol. 3
I'm really excited for the acolyte and Andor tho the latter one doesn't seem to be coming this year.
I like that there will be more content for the Jedi council. I love Shaak Ti, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, but they didn't get enough screen time in the prequel series.
I can’t explain how excited I am for The Acolyte. Finally something fresh without having to tip toe around the heavily explored Skywalker saga. They get to be a lot more creative which is only a good thing
The Living Force sounds really interesting! I was not aware of it until today haha. I liked JJM's Kenobi, so hopefully this will be good too :)

What I want is a Star Wars story that takes place like...10,000 ABY.
Am I the only person who HATES the term “Mando-verse”??? It make it sound like Mando/BOBF/Ahsoka are a separate thing from the rest of the Star Wars universe. “Mando-Time Period” makes more sense. More wordy but is more accurate
The term "verse" means exactly that. A body of metrical writing (as of a period or country) so technically, it's correct.
I totally agree with you! Why don't people just call it "The New Republic era"? It makes much more sense. Feels like we're back to the "baby Yoda" conundrum; why didn't people call him "Mando child" or "Yoda child" or just "The child" until we knew his name? I'm surprised that Alex is using the term, but then again Mollie persuaded him to say "baby Yoda" for a time.
This is not a major thing, but it's annoying when there's a good term for something, but people prefere to use what's catchy. 😑
@@Leeon_King while you’re not wrong I feel like the term “verse” has become a new thing. I hear people say the “Star Wars Universe” but also say “Mando-Verse” as if it’s something completely different. Only thing worse IMO is when people say “Filoni-Verse”

Bad Batch Season 3 WHEN?! You're killing me Lucasfilm. Not even a teaser trailer with a tentative season of release like spring or summer? I just need a little taste of what's to come and when to expect it.
I’m excited for Bad Batch Season 3! I’m still worried about Tech’s fate because I do know that his goggles were recovered by the empire, making the Bad Batch think that Tech is dead. Plus, the empire has a lot of schemes up their sleeves and they might do something with Tech.
For Outlaws I wish that they would include the underground levels of Coruscant that are filled with crime, gangs, cartels, some of the empire's hidden facilities or projects and even the deepest levels that have different types of partially sentient aggressive animals that evolved entirely in the lower levels.
I've always wanted to have the underground levels of Coruscant in a modern open-world game that's entirely unrelated to the sith, the empire, the republic, the Jedi or the Skywalkers.
Outlaws would be an absolutely perfect opportunity for that.
Either way the game sounds really interesting and I hope it's not too much of a standard "Ubisoft Open-World Game™" and if it is I hope it's at least done as well as possible.
I don't know if they can match the standards of Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor but I'd love it if they did match or surpass those games.
I think 98% of my brain is all Bad Batch right now.

Aside from The Acolyte i'm definitely exicted for Outlaws and The Dark Forces Release since I never got a chance to play it when it first came out.

I got to talk for quite a long time to John Jackson Miller at Galaxycon a few weeks ago and he said he had a fantastic time writing 'The Living Force'! I'd also asked him if he planned on writing anymore books with the Rebels characters since I love 'A New Dawn', and he said he had pitched that idea to the publisher before they handed him this new book. BUT he said not to count him out yet for another book with Rebels characters just yet. He also said he had a great time writing Qui-Gon and Obi Wan in this new book, especially in comparison to how he wrote them in 'Kenobi'. John was a delight to talk with and I'm looking forward to reading 'The Living Force'! :)

The lack of concrete release dates for any live action or animated series is overwhelmingly frustrating. I haven’t been able to watch a Star Wars episode in forever, and there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. That is a recipe for atrophy amongst the fans and, worse still, apathy. They need better marketing. Badly.
Ashoka really wasn’t that long ago.
Great video! It helped me know more of the book details! Hope they pull a wild card on the comics after Aphra and Vader! Perhaps, to choose to write about the Old Republic, fully bringing back characters like Revan, Naga Sadow.... or about the Old Republic time spans 3000-2000 BBY. Little to nothing is known there, and we're talking about Legends. But that would take decades😢
I didn't even know there was a second season of visions. They certainly didn't promote it.
I'd love to read a General Grievous novel if the publishing does shift to a prequel era focus. We will get a graphic novel about him from Dark Horse, for which I'm very excited, but since they hold the licence for all-ages comics, Idk what to expect in length and tone.
High Republic has been carrying SW for a year now.

Alex, do you really have to say "Mando-verse"? I know that articles, people in general and even personnel from Lucasfilm (like Jon Favreau 😐) use the term, but now that we were given the eras of Star Wars, why not call it "The New Republic era". Makes so much sense. Let's not go back to the "baby Yoda" conundrum, please.
Era's covers all content in that time period not just Filoni's and Favreau's group of shows.
Hyperspace Stories was actually a 12 issue limited series. Makes sense considering the appearances of the teddy bear in each issue. I hope they bring it back as a full ongoing, though.

I totally missed the announcement for that Mace Windu book, that's cool to see Steven Barnes return. I remember reading Cestus Deception when I was a kid, purely because Kit Fisto was on the cover and he was my favourite character.
I have a feeling that Outlaws isn't coming out next year, we haven't seen much from the game beyond the one trailer.
The Acolyte is my most anticipated thing for sure, closely followed by Outlaws and Bad Batch!
The popular mobile game Star Wars Galaxies of Heroes released several characters unique to their game: a Rebel called Captain Drogan, an Old Republic droid called 5-ORT, and the Geonosian Brood Alpha. They don’t really have much story but thought you might appreciate knowing about them

I can get into anything Tales of the Jedi, but yeah if they get into more Darth Tyranus and Sifo Dyas backstory.

Re video games, I highly doubt either will release next year, but I suspect we could see details or even gameplay of one of Respawn's other Star Wars projects. They have a massive workforce so will have been making at least one alongside Jedi Survivor. They have an FPS and a Strategy game in the works and I'd be happy to see more details on either!

I agree with what you said about the Acolyte show, this could be big by proving to disney and general audiences that star wars has a lot of untapped potential for live action stories set outside the skywalker saga (fingers crossed for old republic live action content)

your right about animation rockin because even though i liked everything about asoka what made it for me was esra returning in the storm trooper suit and chopper recognising him all because it was what what they specialized in doing in rebles and if i hadnt be so in ti rebles it woulnt have meant as much

After Star wars: the Bad Batch ends they will make another spin-off for Star Wars Legacy Stories
The team at Star Wars is setting its eyes on Phantom Menace and Attack of the clones and outside of the Skywalker Saga. Perfect! I LOVE their patterns!
I think an awesome book idea is, to have 3 different clones troopers from different battles talk about their experiences from start to end. Could be commanders or grunts.
I know we still have a ways out from the high republic finishing up and we have the acolyte but I think it would be awesome to have a sister series to the high republic books or a 4th phase of books that just handle what the Sith are doing well the Nihil are causing a mess.
The acolyte is a concept Disney should’ve done from the beginning of the Disney reign.
The story for the time had a nice definitive end with return of the Jedi. There is so much more to explore with the sith, jedi and the conception of a Anakin, adding more depth to the six films.
That’s why I like the high republic, none of it has taken anything away from episodes 1 through 6, they’ve just added to the history and depth
Pumped for the Thrawn Alliances comic and High Republic Phase 3. Phase 2 being a prequel felt like it killed a lot of the momentum built up by Phase 1 so it's nice to go back to the original characters and plotlines.
Aside from the bad batch season 3, I think I am most looking forward to the new Thrawn Comics. I love thrawn and to have some visuals to go with the books would be amazing!

just me talking about the 2020 ongoings comics ending and what i think is better to do after that...
Post-Endor comics (like the sets of ongoing comics from 2015 and 2020)... because the 2 sets we have so far are limited because of the events of the films, and the very short intervals of years, IF THEY CONTINUE DOING THAT but now AFTER ENDOR, they will have a lot of years to explore until Mando/Ahsoka/Filoni Movie...
I love the Aftermath trilogy and other books/comics and the short story of some games (like Battlefront 2 and Squadrons), BUT all of this happens in the first year... and we have many more years almost unexplored after that...
and i dont think the next "set" of ongoings will be in the prequels, PRECISELY because they already announced some mini series there...
for me, they will announce "everything" at once...
If the main focus for comics does move to the prequel era, I would love a Doctor Aphra series following Chelli Aphra's father in that era

Hunters looked like a lot of fun when they first announced it, but at this point I'm basically just over it
I'm most looking forward to the Disney+ stuff. Then the games. Outlaws sounds interesting and I have gotten most of the remastered games. I'm dyslexic, so i don't read many comic books.
Dark Forces was great and so was survivor. Hunters looks like a Star Wars battle royale game and I hope the delays mean that it’s actually gonna be good. Outlaws is like a Star Wars game in Insomniac’s style of gameplay but in a good way and it could be a hit like survivor

The things I am honestly most excited for are The Bad Batch Season 3 and the books and comics about Jango, Mace Windu and the Jedi Council.
The Live-Action Shows have forced VFX artists to crunch and work in terrible conditions. Only recently Marvel's VFX Team has started to unionize. And I wouldn't mind waiting longer before the next show, because it can be exhausting after a while. The movies and Andor Season 2 should not become victim to the hyper-fast schedule.

I guess we say goodbye Tech in bad batch this year, He will missed in 2024, The Bad Batch season 3 is coming soon, we will see characters returns like Wolffe, Crys, Rex, Fennec Shard and of course we wait for The bad batch season 3 finale will be Cody's story, which is he rescue Omega and Crosshair, and then they will together to new explore at the end of the series.

I'm worried about Star Wars: Outlaws. Ubisoft isn't known as a great publisher, and Massive Entertainment feels iffy as a developer (considering they're an Ubisoft studio). I hope it all works out, but I see some choppy waters around it.

I think you mean the comic adaptation of Mando season 2 is ending.
for me the only thing I would like to see is a series which tells the story of the rise and fall of Darth Krayt and the one true Sith Order, including the Vong War.
Or a film trilogy which has Mace Windu having survived the Fall in Revenge of the Sith and gone into hiding, to recover and it tell his story of fallen to the dark side of the force.
I do not know Maybe combine the story's and manipulate both the stories of Krayt and Windu to were both have survived order 66, with Windu saving baby Yoda from the temple and A'Sharad Hett AKA Darth Krayt surviving order 66 and going into hiding on Tatooine.
Till he find Luke Skywalker and knows he is Vaders son and tries to kill him as a child when Obi One save's Luke and duels Hett beating him forcing Hett to Leave Tatooine.
Both Windu and Hett discover Korraban or even Typhon as they hid and recover in hopes to take on Sidious and Vader, then bring the Vong into it were they capture Windu and Hett and experiment on them giving them Vong Implanet's and torturing them.
Which causes them to fall to the dark side and become Darth Krayt and Darth Salus AKA Windu.
They then reemerge after the episode 9 has ended having discovered Typhon and Korriban and studied everything, and Built there own Sith Order they are the new Sith empire for Rey and her Jedi Order to go up against lets say 10 years after episode 9.

I will say this my 2024 is Star Wars outlaws cause I can play it through Ubisoft plus/ Amazon Luna
