It great, the child copies his dad by gearing up, has his lights on, does his lifesaver, and his dad comes home safe becaus he rides safe. Great video.
It is one of the hardest things to do---create ANOTHER masterpiece, without too much repetition. The main message is the same, just as before with Embrace Life, No blood and guts, no lecturing, no threats---just a gentle reminder that other people are affected by tragedy, and that YOUR life is beyond price to those who love you.
I think the message of a father coming home to see his son because he doesn't ride like an idiot is one of the most powerful messages I've seen.
Saw this video 10 years ago before I got married and had my kids. I look back no, still riding but mostly track my son and daughter look at me as their hero when I don my gear. Video gave me chills.
Love it! Great video. The tension between a biker-parent's deepest dreams and his worst fears expressed so succinctly. Brilliant.
I just don't understand the poor viewing figures for this marvelous PSA. It is made by the same geniuses that won all those international awards--for their 'Embrace Life' youtube video. Spread the word guys !!
Brillant commercial! And something we can all learn from as riders.
Perfect video. Hope to see one like this one day on greek TV
I hope that the TAC here in Australia see this video and use it. I am going to forward this to them right now!
SIN PALABRAS!!! EXELENTE VIDEO!!!!
so touching
Genialidad pura.
Huge thumbs up. The emotion brings the message home.
Estar protegido, nunca esta de mas...Piloto con 42 años conduciendo todo tipo de Motos.
тронуло до глубины души...
Who the hell is cutting onions in here?!?!
Brilhante!
When will the U.S. start making PSA's like this?! Come on MSF, NHTSA.. what gives? You would think gear manufacturers would sponsor the ads. Such a thoughtful message.
Children copy everything that their parents do,good or bad. If they see good habits i.e. all the gear all the time or not drinking and driving;they will very likely carry this into adulthood. It's a parent's responsibility to teach good habits early.
Brillant commercial! And something we can all learn from as riders (and parents).
Nicely done!
Come on Guys--share this--I'm amazed at the poor viewing figures after all these years. SSR's seatbelt vid has had over 19,000,000 viewing's, this is just as important.
@KingfisherStudios Just goes to prove how much a childs dad or mum are roll models to their children and in this case his song wants to ride and his dad inspires him to ride safely.

Great Ad !
LOVE this! Gave me goosebumps...
Fantastic!
Just brilliant.
Very good!!!
I like that his son has his own helmet and jacket! They must be taking father-son road trips.
For any biker doing the #maydayrun. Worth watching.
Very nice !
Here in Victoria, Australia, we get advertisements from our Traffic Accident Commission (TAC) that consistently offend and alienate riders, by blaming them and suggesting bikes are simply death traps. You people at SussexSaferRoads ought to be very proud of yourselves for this ad. Could you send some advisors over here?
Considering you could see the light from lampposts outside, the 848 shouldn't have full beam on.
its great trying to show safety with out using the shock technique.
what kind of bike is that ?
@ashleybones Well those points you raised are specifically why this advert was created--the message is aimed at the riders. Once again--family emotions are being provoked, as with the ultra successful seat belt add---Embrace life'.
Fact that you guys in the UK actually do moto safety ads is great, then to add an emotional element to it that speaks on a sincere level is very cool.
To the prick who says its like a mobile commercial... lol If it was a mobile ad it would be better then the shvt ones we have here.
What a great video. Nice work.
V'ssssssssssss..
What a most awesome ad. As MattSR500 says below, I'd also love for the TAC in Victoria Aus to take this type of approach. This tugs on the heart strings and doesn't alienate riders as dangerous road abusers when in the vast majority of instances here, motorcycle fatalities are caused by another vehicle.. Brilliantly well done :)
i love it.
my moto is waiting for me at home, but this is exactly how i feel everytime im on it :)
@GuitarManGihan Spot on !---youv'e got it. It's UNBELEIVABLE how many writing on here, fail to see the bleedin' obvious. 'I don't get it' sheeeeeeeeee-it !!!
so good, a great video :)
J'adore
Good vidéo i love it!!!
@MrDaiseymay Old enough to own an 848 and have been temporarily blinded enough times by inconsiderate people that use full beam when they don't need to. There is a reason that vehicles aren't built with just the option of full beam.
For a safety campaign it was a fairly obvious oversight.
Класс!!
Awesome, a refreshingly different approach, and wonderfully touching ! BOATY \m/ x
It's beutiful!!
Please drivers!!! Stay Safe!!!
Beautiful ,subtle ,safety first message again. Sad that some people are so slow whitted--they have to have it spelled out in CAPITALS--DOH !
Molto molto bello!!!!!
..Очень Сильно!!!...
@TychoCelchu how old are you ?
so son, so dad
sniff...
Happy Fathers Day :-)
As he stop in the garage his front and rear are locked up or am i just seeing things.
great ad for those who go nuts on a sunday blast.
wow1 amazing!
Wow
Yet another campaign that makes me cry. :'(
GR8
damn, that was awesome.
As efficient than showing a crash ;) great job!
Да.
@MrDaiseymay Agreed. I only commented on bikers as this video pertained to bikers. I actually believe that if all road-users demonstrated 'good manners' towards other road-users, far fewer offences would be committed. Most offences result from impatience and/or bad manners. I recently retired from a job where I saw the result of recklessness on our roads. Perhaps if drivers were made to deliver the news of the result of their bad driving to the loved ones of heir victims, they would change.
@MattSR500 Thanks, Matt! Sorry I missed the comment and it's taken me so long to respond! Neil
@jamesv87 You sure are!
I can't believe how few the viewings are--Promote this more 'Sussex----'
This is amazing, enough said :P
@MrDaiseymay And that's exactly where I joined this thread when I said "the reckless ones that I've listened to are just out for thrills and do not even value their own well-being, let alone that of other road users". They certainly have no thoughts for how their family would be effected if the were killed or maimed. BUT. if this video saves one life then I commend it. I am just not confident that it will. :-(
Thumb up
I would be proud, but I would also forever give him hell for cutting a hole in my umbrella every time i had to use it.
I dont get it :/
@pullinpete Which --the kids ?
@TychoCelchu Stop nit-picking, it was just for visual effect. The main theme is much wider--be safe not for just yourself, but for others too--ie his boy, who see's him as his hero. I think MOST people get it. How about the garage door lifting automatically--do they have electronic pulse devices for bikes ? never seen one, but my time on two wheels is long gone.
Beautiful! It would have been nicer with a British bike. ;)
The creative team behind 'Stay a Hero' & 'Embrace Life' have just launched a new safety video, 'Protect your Child', over on the 'Good Egg Safety' CZcams channel. Check it out and share if you like it!
@deabreu Shhh... don't explain it to him like that... you'll burst his bubble.. he doesn't know he's stupid.
7 guys don't drive an motorcycle and they don't have any idea!
I wonder why the UK adverts for motorcycle safety always use Ducatis? I would have thought he would be on a something British, a Triumph maybe.
Hi SussexSaferRoads,
We've embedded your vid into a post on our biking website. Hope you don't mind, please let us know if it’s a problem.
Sorry can't leave you a link, CZcams doesn't seem to allow. But please Google us - 'FullChatter' - then type in 'Strand Quay' to the search on our home page.
Cheers. Phil | FullChatter.
nice)))
eh? I don't get it :/
@ashleybones I agree with you--but it's the same idiotic frame of mind that the inocent fall victim to, with all types of vehicle users on our roads.
@animal100000 Categorically, absolutely. always, I look out for m/cyclists, cyclists, pedestrians. I only tar one particular group of road users with the same brush - irresponsible road users. But I do base ANY criticism on facts and statistics, hence my criticism of m/cyclists. Until perhaps 20 years ago I had unreserved sympathy for m/cyclists who were invariably on the receiving end of bad driving. Today they are to blame in around 85% of their fatalities & serious injuries. Stay safe :-)
@MrDaiseymay no the dads
Loony alert!!--13 dislikes---
@69Sphynx Skewed only by the facts: around 85% of all serious injury/fatal collisions suffered by m/cyclists are caused by them - often 'single vehicle collisions'. I also have a 'beef' with young drivers 17 to 25 year old - who are statistically proven to be involved in far more collisions. However, I repeat, my 'beef' is with irresponsible road users, whatever group they are from. But I don't tar all m/cyclists or all under 25s with the same brush. I treat all road users as a potential hazard.
Little sod should be working on how to loose his cherry, bikes come later.
ахуенно
That's cute
Sniff...
But , hang on! Rules of the road don't apply to motorcyclists do they? Well, that's the impression I've got by the reckless way so many of them ride.
This promo video tries to appeal to their better nature; the reckless ones that I've listened to are just out for thrills and do not even value their own well-being, let alone that of other road users.
You need to understand that a motorcyclist is a third of car's width, this makes them very hard to see. However, it also makes them dead easy to kill! Most deaths or injuries are caused by human error on the part of either the driver or the rider.
It's the rider's responsibility to look out for cars and other road users and driver's to look out for motorcyclists and other road users.
@ashleybones But do you look out for bikers? id say 90% of car drivers are just looking for other cars, and yes some bikers are twats but dont tar everyonre with the same brush. Ive been ridding for ten years and ride that every car driver is going to pull out in front of you and most of them do.
know how to make a good video and get famous on youtube
How does this teach riders anything...waste of time and money, it feels like a bloody mobile phone advert..
@icemakk Yep--same the world over really. Where the f*** did the expression cool come from? It's almost a religion, what crap. Looking 'cool' on the mortuary slab somehow dulls the impression.
What a great video. Nice work.
V'ssssssssssss
