This is some really insightful and entertaining stuff. Most people just do the normal slogging warfare.
omg he giggles at the pillage yields i love it hahah
"we're playing Christopher Columbus in the dark, and we're trying to find India..."
This is just so creative, the way you play. It's entertaining to watch!
I got into your videos with the roman science victory, and have really been enjoying it! I've only managed to win deity once, where I got an island science victory as Kongo basically just plopping down campus in every city, and the way you play is much more appealing and I'm learning a lot!
Really looking forward to the next part of this episode also ! Keep up the great work! And FYI you are very audible and understandable :)
Yeah I can beat immortal on a half regular basis, but I'm looking to make the jump to deity soon. Definitely want to watch some more of his videos first haha
Thank you so much for showing me how to play Mongolia on Deity, I keep losing and it's driving me nuts
After watching your vid, I know nothing about playing this game lol
You are building up quite a fan base here! Superb gameplay!
We play the game, but you PLAY the game... amazing.
Really impressed by this series. I wish you uploaded more but really can't complain. Keep up the great work.
This was a great tutorial/walk through of the game and the efficiency was excellent. It saved me a lot of learning/growing pains! Good Job!
I was checking yt every 5 min to check if u upload the 2nd episode
LOL Same
Me too
Awesome gameplay, dude! Keep it coming ^^
i still can't believe none of them had already declared war on you. When I play on Emperer (highest I've done yet) they just rush me every time within about 20-30 turns. I have to spend all the beginning making slingers/warriors/archers etc and then try to hit them back, but normally when I do that another civ sees my weakness and takes a city from the other side of my territory
"I'm going to take my time and savor it". HA!
very good video - thank you
Two questions:
1) I have not seen what mods you use, I could have missed them but would it be possible for you to list them for us and perhaps even list them and the beginning of each play-through you do (episode 1) or list them in the info or comments section?
2) Would it be possible for you to try a play through with a Civ like Georgia where, to me at least, it seems like IF they could establish a religion and IF they had enough city states around and IF trying to go for that would not implode the civ due to a lack of advancement in any other aspect before opposing civs made a meal of them, then they would be fun to play. In a play-through I tried with them, using the Religious Unity Belief, the Diplomatic Unity policy card and a quest of spreading the religion to a city state, I was able to get 5 envoys for just spreading the religion once to this city state.
The issue is that since playing on Emperor is the minimum difficulty level I play at with Immortal being the average, I have no idea how successfully implement a strategy such as this without the massive setback hindering early development or trying to use a foreign religion on City-States instead.
The Victory type didn't matter to me much but trying to go for the city-states, the whole point of Georgia as I see it, seems a bit hit or miss making the Civilization a lower tier pick. That said, I have never considered the way you play before as I always tended to think chopping the stone and forests as overall a bad choice, however seeing the results you have had on previous play-throughs I was clearly mistaken.
Anyway, in the case that you try a play-through like the one I described, here was the pantheon and Beliefs I selected.
Religion: Eastern Orthodoxy
Pantheon: Divine Spark
Follower Belief: More often than not, Choral music since I will be running beyond early trying for this.
Founder Belief: Religious Unity
No enhancer beliefs as the game (in my opinion) is decided long before that becomes a concern.
What's the name of the mod you said you usually use that tells you where to put the colosseum for maximum reach?
Oh man, you're not a famous youtuber, but you will be :) Very good stuff :)
Why didn't you lose your diplomatic boost after taking Paris? Is it because there were already trade routes from Paris to the other cities?
wouldnt it be easier to trade the iron for horses at the begining?
Will you ever make new vids abt civ 6? I really enjoy your style of play. Hope you're healthy and all,and decide to come back on making these great contents
How does he sustain so much army with the maintenance cost?
Tip: the Terracot Army has a hidden habillity that makes the city where the wonderful is to create 2 units instead of one.
I use a different strategy because I dope the wonderful's production so I get realy quickly the Terracot Army and then I focus, usually the capital, to generate troops like knights or horsemen
Give me part 3 already!!!
30:25 well done, important to unlock the blockchain before the banks take out control
How do you get your units to move and attack instantly without the animation?
switch in the options
Why didn't France attack?
11:01 can someone explain why this chop gets him 112 hammers when I get about half that witha a builder during the same era and same bonus production (cavalry) card??
And at same game speed
@@listens2lennon probably magnus
Who went bankrupt with classical republic?
I played ghengis to be a dothraki horselord
Compared to the dothraki, the mongols actually were effective and kinda scary.
Why build a horseman before ordu?
He wanted to get the production overflow.
definitely worth checking your mic setup for videos. Can be quite frustrating to listen to, good video otherwise. very calculated moves i like it
nice vids.. need a new mic tho :p
37:07 heheheheh
This is deity???
Why is Goddess of the Harvest so good?
I believe it's because chopping gives you faith and you can use faith to buy stuff. I've learned that most expert players chop a lot, something that I didn't do before watching these videos. And, don't forget that Magnus gets double the benefits from Godess of the Harvest
I was thinking maybe it's for unit purchasing or Great People securing, but yeah it is a lot of faith that you'd get with 150 - 200% bonus chops.
It's pretty much what Hugo said, but there's also a new thing in Rise and Fall: the Monumentality dedication allows you to buy civilian units with Faith.
Yup, that's right:
- free builder (who can CHOP some more!!) and:
- free Settlers (actually free if bought into the city where Magnus is settled -- with the "no population cost when building a settler promotion)
Hugo and dont forget that you can faith purchase units too. It's only annoying to get to that civic if you didn't found a religion but it can be insanely strong. Russia is undoubtedly the best civ for a faith purchase cossack/bombard push but with Goddess of the Harvest any civilization can do it.
I totally forgot about warrior monks, because I don't usually go for religion on deity but they might actually be worth investing in.
Adding a governor with Magnus ability without fixing the obvious overflow exploit is just a shame. Magnus + goddes of the harvest + lime + 1t left walls is just dumb. I hate having to force myself not using such cheap tactics.... It basically kills all the challenge playing deity, even though there wasnt much in the first place.
So if u see a mongol trader heading ur way just abandon to ur lands and move lmao
unstopable
try not breathing into the microphone please
