      @@user-mv1bf4oy9j yeah np. I was in a basic welding program for metal fabrication and at the end of the course there was a metal art competition. I was always artistic… mostly drawing some painting. I was sitting at home and I had a vision of a turtle in the ocean. I was in my element, I’ve never felt like I belonged somewhere so much in my life and I built a huge 3D turtle and took home first prize.
      Tried to work piping for a while but, I was hooked in metal art so i decided to go full time it’s been about almost a year.
      Before that I did one or two smaller pieces.

    Hi nice work stumbled on your channel today and you got a new subscriber :), one question i have when you color your work with heat how do protect that from the elements. Do you clear coat your work or is mainly for indoor only? Greetings from belgium and keep the video's coming.

    • @Nadellart
      @Nadellart  Před rokem +1

      Well thank you! I appreciate the support. I have only started to put pieces outside and so I can’t say what they look like after a full year but, I put several coats of satin finish clear ,so far there doing well! Although they will need regular maintenance to keep them from rusting as they are made of steel.

      @@Nadellart If they ae not to big I use an old elect. oven to powder coat a clear coat. Newer use it to cook in again, neve use a gas oven. All you need is 400 degrees F. hold for 20 minutes.

    • @Nadellart
      @Nadellart  Před rokem

      yes I've been looking into clear powder coat. I have questions though perhaps you could answer some for me.
      does the heat from the oven change or influence the colours?? even slightly?
      you mention smaller pieces but, is there places that would do bigger pieces for me?
      what are we talking in price for this type of coating?
      if you can answer any of these questions that would be cool :)as I have been looking but, so occupied I have yet to properly get into it but, im very curious.
      thanks for your time and have a beautiful day!

    Hi Nadell, I am in awe of your creative skills, could you tell me the thickness of the sheet you use to get the depth of texture in your work. Many thanks

    • @Nadellart
      @Nadellart  Před rokem +1

      Thank you.😊The thickness of metal I choose can vary in accordance to how I want to manipulate it and how I want to detail it. The more detailing the thicker metal you will need. In something like a framed plasma cut you need less as details are one sided not two. I work between 1/8 hot rolled and 20gauge cold rolled… be careful that colled rolled is addictive…and expensive 😅😂. So use 1/8 where you need supported pieces.1/16 as two sided or addition piece and 20 gauge as shaped but be light on your detailing or you will pierce the Sheet.

      45 CT brand GYS it does the same job as yours, maybe better hihi

      no problem:) better I don't have a expensive brand id probably run it into the ground. Tend to push the limits of my machines lol. lets just say I know where they're good because they can withstand my use!
      that's great! keep at it and with time you'll get to where you want to be.Just follow your heart and the rest will take care of itself.

    f@t b@st@d says = friggin awesome = i have used a colour layering technique with paint trying to do black pearl and found it changed colour to the persons favourite colour randomly = colour theory can be tricky and you have passed that [well done] ps people can see different spectrums it's something to do with inscinants of refraction [ lights absorbing or refracting ]
