But on the inside, the filling has no lines and is one filling. My beliefe is like this...we can't handle God as one entity, so He gave us himself as three persons..smaller portions.

      It's easy to understand;
God spoke the universe into existence by His Living Word (Manifested as Jesus in the flesh), and by the aid of His Breath (Holy Spirit - Same Spirit He breathed into Adam after molding the clay, same Spirit hovering over the waters of the esrth in Genesis, Same Spirit that anointed the church at Pentecost).
Simplified: You have a Spirit and breath, God the Father does too, His Spirit is called the Holy Spirit, because Only God is holy.
God created man in his image, able to make declarations, curses and blessings, speak forth laws, say prayers, etc. If man's declarations and prayers align with God's plan, He will fulfill man's declaration. God also has declarations, these are the deepest desires within God's heart made manifest by the power of His breath(His holy Spirit). God's Word is also His law, He never goes against it, in this sense, it serves as a double edged sword to Him, and hence goes forth from His mouth bearing equal power and authority as God Himself. Once God has spoken He cannot retract it back, His commands have Divine life and authority in them.
The culmination of God's Life giving Word is His son.
About 2000 years ago, by the power of His Breath(Holy Spirit), the Word of God took on flesh and dwelled amongst men, inorder to fulfill the Father's desire for man's salvation. John 1:1-5.

@@onlydeen4913 If this is so, explain me John 12:41 "Isaiah said these things because he saw *his* glory and spoke of *him*."
First of all, who is "him"?
Verse 36 says "When *Jesus* had said these things". So 'his' and 'him' is about Jesus.
That's not hard, I don't need a degree to figure that out. It is quite clear who this is about, simply by reading the text.
And if someone says otherwise, then it is justified to question his ability to read and understand the english language.
Ok with this said when did Isaiha saw Jesus glory?! He did this in his Vision of the Lord in Isaiah 6. In verse 1 Isaiah said:
"In the year that King Uzziah died *I saw the Lord* sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple."
So Isaiah said: I saw the LORD, the one God. In the OT Jesus wasn't mentioned by name and clearly not as LORD, so he definitely talks about God.
But John said: Isaiah saw Jesus.
If this does not mean Jesus is God, then we can throw away the bible because it lies at this point and is therefore not trustworthy. God cannot lie, so a book that contains a lie cannot be his word. And that would mean we don't know anything, we wouldn't know if Jesus really died for us and if he really rose from the dead and our whole faith would be garbage. This is what the apostle Paul himself says in 1 Corinthians 15.
Let me say this clearly: when you say Jesus is not God, you are saying that scripture contains contradictions, that means you believe in a book that cannot be true and you throw away the complete faith in Jesus! The Bible is the only source about Jesus redeeming us. If it is not trustworthy, then what do you believe in?

I love the diving into the Greek! It just illuminates, amplifies, and clarifies SO WELL. (Same with Hebrew, for the OT.)
I knew of a man who rejected Christ until his dying breaths, lying on a highway, struck off his motorcycle by a big-rig, and the driver of the tractor-trailer got out and down beside him, and quickly presented the gospel and the man who was struck accepted Jesus as Savior and passed instantly into eternity with Him. Absolute true account. Did that man have time to understand and embrace the Trinity? No. Is he with Jesus? Yes. What about those limited mentally who can understand Jesus' love and dying on the cross for them and accept Him with a childlike faith, but who will never understand the Trinity really? Can they be saved? Yes. Think of other barriers. That leads me to believe likewise with you, Brother Parr; those who have not grown in their faith to the point of not understand fully the Trinity yet/those who never will for a legitimate reason/those who do not yet understand, versus those who refuse and refute this truth from the Word of God, are utterly distinct groups. Only the Lord knows each heart and where/why any refusal is perhaps from confusion and which is from a hard heart. There are so many dynamics that can be factored into the "not understanding" group, but none of those factors ought to be an excuse for those of us with the ability, resources, and Bible-in-hand, for not diving deeply into this Holy mystery and coming out with a solid conclusion about. (Hopefully, the Biblical one.)

Spirit, soul, body are distinct from each other, they work simultaneously, together as one, they have different function they are never been separated ...but man is a natural being so there is limitation in terms of space and time ..they are confined in one area only UNLIKE God who is a Spirit being, there is no limitation in terms of space and time as we can see in the baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ in the river of Jordan, God the Father spoke and the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus ( matthew 3:17 ) ...We can clearly see their distinction but never a separate being. Let us look at this matter closely:
      John 14:16-20
      [16]And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
[17]Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he DWELLETH WITH YOU, and shall be IN YOU.
[18]I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU COMFORTLESS: I WILL COME TO YOU.
[19]Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
[20]At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I IN YOU.
Jesus told his disciples that "he will come to them" and that "he will be in them". This is the hope of our glory "CHRIST IN YOU":
      Romans 8:9-10
[9]But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he is none of his.
[10]And if CHRIST BE IN YOU, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Why do you think Jesus said:
      John 16:7
[7]Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I GO AWAY: for if I go not away, THE COMFORTER WILL NOT COME UNTO YOU; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Jesus had yet to ascend and while he was still walking with the disciples he could not send HIS SPIRIT to be with them.
Let us briefly take a look at the word "Comforter" in the greek:
The Greek word for comforter is G3875 which is PARAKLETOS. The defenitions for it is:
      1. one who pleads another's cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense, legal assistant, an advocate
      2. one who pleads another's cause with one, an intercessor
      3. in the widest sense, a helper, succourer, aider, assistant
This Greek word is only found in the bible 5 times and "Comforter" is used 4 times (John 14:16,26; John 15:26; John 16:7) but it is used one time for the word "ADVOCATE" and who is this advocate?
      1 John 2:1
[1]My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an ADVOCATE with the Father, JESUS CHRIST the righteous:
Jesus is the only one who intercedes for us. Jesus is our helper and succourer (deliever).
To understand that the Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ is a beautiful revelation. We have someone who has been through our trials and tribulations. Someone who knows or struggles and can "COMFORT" us in our time of need.
I pray that this strengthens your walk with Christ and view him as a personal Saviour that lives in you.

Having been a former Mormon, God rescued me and opened my eyes to see the truth of the Bible. My husband, who is Mormon, refuses to see the truth of the trinity; as the Mormon doctrine teaches that God, Jesus & the Holy Ghost are three separate entities. Why? Because Joseph Smith, their founder, said he saw God, the Father & his son, Jesus Christ as separate & distinct from each other. Those who embrace the testimony of the Mormon doctrine refuse to believe the Biblical doctrine of the trinity. Yes, I believe when one refuses to accept the sound doctrine of the trinity, he refuses to accept other Biblical truths. Thank you Allen for this great teaching lesson.

As it is written, "the Lord our God is ONE." I think this erroneous belief of the Trinity lies in the book of Matthew when the disciples were commissioned to baptize in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. In Acts, the apostles understood that Matthew statement to mean Jesus, hence they baptized in Jesus's name rather than the three titles that All belong to Jesus. So there's no scriptural basis for the Trinity doctrine

if that is the case then please explain Genesis 1:26-27. Where in verse 26 it reads “God says let “us” make man in “our” image, after “our” likeness”. Yet in verse 27 it says: “So God created man in “his own” image, in the image of God created “he” him; male and female created he them.” So what should we make of these two verses back to back? Is God contradicting himself when he says “us” and “our” which are plural and possessive words then follows that up with “his own” and “he” which are singular? I think not. If God is not triune then what does he mean by “us” and “our”? Who is he talking to? The angels? The other heavenly creatures? Are we made in their images? Is he talking to himself? Surely the one true God and creator of the universe isn’t suffering from schizophrenia.

    • @Hookums2005
      @Hookums2005 Před 3 lety +4

I’d also like you to explain John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” Because by your description Christ was a created being. This also contradicts John 1: 10-11, 14 where it reads: “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” So by your logic God is one and Christ is God alone but by the scriptures we see that the Word who is Christ, was “with” God from the very beginning and not created. And not only was he “with” God but that he is God. So how can God be God and yet be with God at the same time unless he exist in different persons but equally in divinity and nature? 🤔

Essentially there is an abundance of evidence for trinity within Scripture. And the danger of denying such evidence leaves you with massive amounts to of “perceived” contradictions of scripture with scripture.
All throughout scripture Jesus refers to the Father apart from himself. He prays to the Father, he calls upon the Father. Yet he says he and the Father are one. Please read John 16. It’s full of references of a triune God.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”

Because God almighty is not a physical person with a body like ours hes not human and Jesus did not come from a man remember his mom was a virgen. And the Holy Spirit is God in us after we are baptized the Holy Spirit comes to live in our heart and he is our 3 way to God so God can be in more places at the same time and hes Gods servent watching our backs for him so we are never alone and he s always there when we call , the Holy Spirit is what they say is God in us, and Jesus they say is God in human form, it even says in the Bible remember he asked peter and who do you say iam its revealed several times in the bible. Biut i think Jesus didnt become God until he was baptized, God said this is my son and with him iam well pleased and 2 doves sat on his shoulders when he came up from the water and he was filled with the holy spirit, so God came to live in his heart, and thats when he started healing people and performing. miracles. You should watch the Hillsong channel they are always teaching on that channel and its a variety of preechers that come on , and ive really learned alot in 4 years ad a full time student, unfortunatly my upbringing did not consist of Jesus at all, sometimes i cant help but think how much better my life would of been had i known what i know now, its very important to teach kids about. Jesus its the best thing you could do for that child is the gift of God, and it makes them feel good to know they have a purpose and a father in heaven who loves them very much if i had known that i wouldnt of ran away to get pregnant, i have no regrets though thats actually what i consider the best thing thats evervhappen to me. At 15 years old i was praying to God to give me a baby and he did and he was beautiful , perfect nothing wrong. with. him at all , he was a good baby never fussy for no reason he was smart he spoke 2 languages by time he was 5, now hes all grown up with 3 kids of his own j.

Where in the Bible does God say if you reject the doctrine of the trinity you can lose your salvation?
He doesn’t! Surely if the trinity was part of salvation God would have plainly said so in His word so it was clear. But He didn’t - instead He repeatedly tells us that there is no other name by which men can be saved - Jesus Christ. Christ alone saves.

The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ in you.
Let us look at this matter closely:
      John 14:16-20
      [16]And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Why people think Jesus is God: “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of His nature, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:3

God is the Father and Jesus is His Son. Thats it.
At the end, Jesus will return the kingdom back to his Father, God.

God is a triune being ( Father, Son, Spirit ).
Man is a tripartite being ( Spirit, soul, body ).
When the Spirit of God joined to the Spirit of man there is new creation ( 1 cor 2:11, 1 cor 6:17, 2cor 5:17 ).
They are always one God being. They work, exist together as one.

Eclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." See Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
Those two verses alone explain what man consists of. God breathe the spirit/breath of life into dust and nothing else. Human beings are not a trinity. When we die, the breath is gone and the body returns to dust. There is not a third entity that floats around anywhere in scripture that's independent of the spirit/breath and dust. Full Refutation of Allen Parr's Video
    1. 1:02 Rejecting the trinity would not be polytheism because Jesus is not defined as the true God.
    2. 1:31 Matthew 28:19 says nothing about 3 persons coexisting eternally. Also just because it says a singular name does not posit the idea that they are one being, there are conjunctions (and) in between the names.
    3. 1:51 Jesus is the First begotten Hebrews 1:6
And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God's angels worship him.”
    4. 2:18 The requirement to pay for sins is a sinless sacrifice, that does not mean Jesus has to be eternal.
    5. 3:30 You cannot have 1 God that is 3 distinct persons because that would be in violation of the law of identity. Also you change God (noun) to Godhead (adjective) proving you are being inconsistent.
    6. 4:09 The father is greater than the son in John 14:28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
    7. 4:33 Jesus, Satan Inanimate Objects, and Men are all called Gods in Hebrews 1:8, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Daniel 5:23, John 10:34. But 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 claims there are many called god but there is only 1 God to us Christians 1 Corinthians 8:5-6
For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth-as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”- yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. John 17:3 calls the father the only "True" God John 17:1-3
When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
    8. 9:10 The Criteria to be saved is in Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Therefore you can still reject the trinity in be saved.
Leave this false doctrine and accept Christ. God the Father is the one true God, Jesus is the Son of God the first creation the word of God, The holy spirit is the spirit of God. Embrace Arianism.

With all due respect, you are mistaken. Read Isaiah 43:10 again, notice the phrase “I AM HE” now read Mark 13:6; Luke 21:8; John 13:19; John 18:5-8 and Revelation 2:23 in which Jesus Christ takes that phrase (which Isaiah 43:10 clearly applies to Yahweh God) and applies it to Himself. No other way to see this than Jesus claiming deity which the people recognized correctly that He was making that claim (John 10:33). Now that we have established indisputably that Jesus is deity is He a separate deity from the Father? Of course not, Jesus often affirms the “shema” in Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (Matthew 22:37; Mark 12:29-30; Luke 10:27) and in all certainty adhered to Monotheism. So how can two persons be associated with one God? Easy, they are the same God, not different. Jesus makes this clear in John 10:30, especially in the Greek as seen, ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἕν ἐσμεν (egō kai ho Patēr hen esmen). The Greek word ἐσμεν (esmen) means we are (as used in Mark 5:9; Luke 9:12; Luke 17:10; John 8:33; John 9:28; John 9:40; Acts 2:32; Acts 3:15; Acts 5:32) clearly indicating a plurality in persons but unity in substance.
I would encourage you, instead of calling the Trinity an idol, submit yourself to learning more about the subject before speaking on it.

You should study and see how the Bible uses the word, "Name". It does not mean the 5-letter word that was given to the Son of God, but in the scriptures, the NAME refers to the personage of the individual, or the characteristics. In the O.T. God said to worship Him I'm the gate where He would place His NAME. That does not mean where He would literally inscribe, "YHWH", or "Jehovah", etc.
Look in the book of Revelation.
      Revelation 3:4
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
It is clear that "names" is referring to the individuals, not to the titles which they are called by.
Also in Revelation Jesus' "name" is called:
      The Word of God
      King of Kings
      Lord of Lord's
The beast is said to have the "name" of, " MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
      Etc.
We can see that the name is referring to characteristics of the person, which is who the person IS.
To say that you believe in Jesus, but to deny that He is the 3rd person of a Trinity, (if true, which I do not believe) would mean that you do NOT believe in the TRUE Jesus, but one of your own imagination or liking.

This was true in the beginning: God the Father manifested as the creator by and as his Son in person. This is fully supported in both old & new testament scripture. Even when the Son was on the earth, this was also still true in heaven ...God the Father was still in his throne in the fullness and Glory of & inclusive as his Son. Jesus even mentions this of himself in his prayer in John 17:5. And John 16:14-15, he declared all that the Father has is his.
-Jesus said of the Holy Spirit ...that it's the Spirit of your Father that speaks in you (Mat 10:20) -the actual impartation of himself shared with his children -not some other or other Spirit, it's him. The apostles understood this:

: Actually, verse 5 states that it is the one seated on the throne. Throughout Revelation, the one seated on the throne is God, not Jesus. If Jesus is 'God' who is God's God? In Rev 3 :12, Jesus talks about his God four times in one verse. By any understanding of language, if Jesus has a God........

Stop questioning the king and be an obedient servant and just do what he says. Why waist precious time on stuff that is not important?Luckily our God is good and patient and understands .

      @noncalvinistbydecree1672 Před 3 lety +2

For it to be self-contradictory, you'd have to assume that God means one person, which the Bible never says that, therefore it's not contradicting itself. The Bible has examples of multiple persons making up one. With that logic, you'd have to start rejecting the inerrancy of Scripture as well, because other passages would start to be called contradictions too. If you start with the false assumption that God is one person, then you end with a contradiction, but the Bible doesn't give us that false assumption to start with. The Bible is clear that God is one, there is one God, the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Spirit is God, but yet they're not the same person. What you choose to do with that information is up to you.

God created man in His own image.
They are always one God being. They work, exist together as one.

I remembered this content while I was reading devotionals. In an event at Acts 19, they didn't even know about the Holy Spirit but they were called disciples.
But we can also see in that passage that when we knew about the Trinity it is our responsibility to share it to those believers who doesn't know it.

I'm 100% with you Alan, this is how I've always felt about it. I believe The Holy Spirit teaches us and holds us responsible, but Jesus is who we initially turn to for salvation. Rejecting the nature of God is probably a result of not being born again or having The Holy Spirit, and so it only stands to reason that rejecting the Trinity is a sign that someone indeed isn't saved.

Your argument that the trinity is necessary for salvation is based on already having the conclusion that the doctrine of the trinity is true, AND that people who don’t believe it are purposefully rejecting the nature of God. I believe in the Trinity, but the people like Owen Benjamin and Austin Witsit who have argued against it would talk circles around you. They aren’t dishonest people who are going to burn forever in hell just because they think the Son of Man isn’t literally God. Stop being a pharisee
