First half was pretty shocking, second half was fantastic. The more I see of Ampadu the more I’m starting to really like him, same goes for Poveda and Archie Grey, all 3 were fantastic today.

Gyabi will be kicking himself for his performance. Moving Ampadu up with Gray completely changed the game. Cresswell was solid too.

if we still had Poveda last season we would not have got relegated. It was so stupid to loan him out.
That was part of it in not having a quality forward with Bamford being as bad a forward as Ayling is a defender, but our woeful defense was a bigger contributor to our demise last season.
They were grim in every sense of the word.
@maxwellboyne2770 All we needed was a couple of wins last season, them games where we lacked the firepower in the final 3rd, those draws or losses that could’ve been wins by someone having balls instead of bamford misfiring, i do believe with poveda we could have had that.
@@LogicPakdude the defence was the issues we conceded almost the most goals in the league you can’t rely on firepower all the time a strong defence gives you a chance we scored more than everyone down from 10th last season bar Leicester so goals wasn’t the issue at all. Yes of course we missed chances as every team does but we leak goals it’s pathetic

It could be a coincidence, but in both the official games we played I saw our full back (left or right, not depending of who was full back) closing to the centre in each opponents' goal.

Don't ask me why, I could suppose some reason but it maybe I'm wrong, I'm not a coach. The fullbacks in my opinion should stay usually wide countering their opponent before he could get the position to cross or to converge and shoot for target. The (or one of the two) defending midfielder should, if necessary, go back to help the two centre backs. And another midfielder shuld go to occupy the now empty defending mf's position. You see, I'm not a coach.

A wee bit of an exaggeration.He touched the ball in the build-up to 2 or 3 shots.All the openings for the actual shots were created by the players who took the shots on by running at the defence and creating their own space.

More simple delivery to Poveda, but cross-run ties up 2 defenders. 3. Precise lofted ball to Shakleton opens up the defense & leads to goal (actively created). 4. Delivers decent corner that leads to goal (actively created). Not stunning, but a decent contribution to chance creation.

What’s the reason that the game want televised live in the UK please?
I think because it’s midweek or something but all I heard is it was a black out and apparently it happened with Barnsley as well last year so ig midweek or to early in the competition or they want more people at the games buying tickets
@@Ryzonie thanks - of course only 36000 can be at the ground so the rest of us have no chance of seeing the game in person especially if one lives 200 miles away - I find the EFL approach is anti consumer and really hope they wake up and allow all games to be televised live.

Yep some love to over hype the young lads some rave about gyabi he’s not ready for championship football. We need another more quality in depth in the cm area alone with adams going we’ve got Ampadu who’s solid gray promising gyabi shack n bate it’s not good enough at all if we want to be competitive. N that’s just the issues with midfield options we won’t get into the rest of the squad and the many holes
Time and again, defense looks terrible. Not sure if we can hold the likes of fellow championship teams with this backline.

A can't understand what some fans see in Joe Gelhardt, he simply isn't good enough. Dan James is only here because no one wants him because he's shit, scum really had our pants down with him, another fantastic Orta negotiation. Hjelde failed to impress yet again. The rest did OK but a hell of alot of loose passes all over the pitch. Povada was clearly the best player on the night but not sure if it was a knock or lack of fitness that forced him off. Darlow had nothing to do really to judge him, that said the playing out from the back starting with his distribution left alot to be desired. We desperately need a striker. That team Sunday and last Night will be lucky to make the play offs without a striker. Bamford and Gelhardt are nowhere near good enough.

Can you please NOT put the scoreline in the replay thumbnail? I understand people like to see the scoreline and the video, but surely they can just google it? I like to watch the replay as if it is live (whether full replay or highlights).

They're professional football players who have a limited window to develop their careers. They will take a chance to make their lives better if they have to, they don't get long to make money, and there's always the risk of an injury ending that career very quickly. . Our current CEO and the club signed those contracts with loan clauses in them, players took advantage of them. Orta is why we're in this position, he should get the blame. Gnonto wants to leave, he's entitled to and he will make us some money if he does leave, same goes for Adams. Loyalty really isn't a factor in modern football, and hasn't been for decades.
The football world has changed. Like it or not, we have to get accustomed to it. Gnonto is good, not yet great. If we get 20m for him, it's great business. He cost us 4m. We can't wait two or three years for him to reach his peak, which he never would for us anyway if he wants to go. SELL!

Club need to stand firm and not let the player dictate anything to them dock his wages when he refused to play let him train with the kids until he either wakes up and deals with this the proper way a man should he’s acting like a spoilt brat.
@@Dir3ctH3Xbig difference when you mention adams is there’s ways you go about getting a move adams hasn’t forced anything or refused to play he’s been long term injury I’ve no problems with adams leaving in that fashion. It was clear we’d loose a lot of our better players but like say there ways you go about it and Gnoto hasn’t done it the right way at all maybe he should complain to his agent for not getting him a release clause in his contract like all the rest that have left the club.
