The Switch 2 HYPE is real!
I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking that Star Fox should evolve from Assault’s gameplay. There’s a lot of room for potential with mixing the space and land gameplay. You could have like galactic war mechanics like doing jobs to recruit more soldiers for Corneria.
Assault is my favorite in the series. Assault has a lot of great ideas that could easily be polished, expanded, and could add some stuff from 64. Imagine that there is an optional side objective that changes how the mission plays out. Like finding all these terminals that would bring a different boss to fight at the end of the level. Or different gameplay section.
The only thing I need from new mainline Mario titles is having the other characters be made playable.

Damn I never rly thought about it that way Roger, but he is totally right about Mario Odyssey. The game was deff fun and I do not regret playing it at all, but it just didn't feel the same as the other mario games. I often forget it existed at all and I do not mean that because it was at all a bad game, but rather it just doesn't categorize as a normal Mario game in my brain because of how different it looked and felt
Played through Sunshine plenty of times, played through Odyssey once. Loved my time with it, but Roger hit he nail on the head.

@Cloke100 this is my exact same experience. It would've been better if the Moons were used like Shine Sprites or Stars, and it did feel that way in the beginning...but by the end, the Moons felt more like Korok Seeds
I’d love to see a complete remake of the nes Zelda adventure useing the 3d pixelated amiibo as a reference
Man I'm really hoping for OOT and MM remakes much more than WW or TP. Also, I'm skeptical that WW and TP would be bundled due to the much different look and feel of the games, and different target age levels.
Agreed. I will forever hate that the one time we got OoT and MM remakes, they were stuck on a handheld only console. Make a new OoT remake with a waaay bigger scope that plays on the big screen at its full glory
StarFox Assault + StarFox 2 + StarFox 64 = A brand new, incredible experience.
1. 64 branching paths with more routes and polished arwing controls.
2. Star Fox 2 giving you the option of playing the other characters and ground gameplay ideas.
3. Star Fox Assault for the on rails twist and turns. The potential of the on foot multi vehical gameplay, insane multiplayer, and incredible story.
Make it at minimum 12 hrs
I could picture Switch 2 having dual screen capabilities. But having dual screens on the portable device itself seems a bit too risky. So what if you could do dual screen at home with the Switch 2 screen + TV screen, and the do dual screen on the go with the Switch 2 screen + smart device screen. They could have an attachable holder so that you could have you mobile phone attached above the Switch 2 screen. Seems a bit impractical, but it's possible. :D

Since rogersbase and hmk are fans of Honkai starrail and Genshin Impact, let ne just say I think Mihoyo is intentionally not releasing their games on Switch and Switch 2, not because of "it can't run on Switch" , cuz Sony paid the console exclusivity. I know there's no concrete confirmation, but it's obvious given we see Honkai starrail and Zeneless zone zero have been featured in state of plays.
I could say a lot about why Mario Sunshine is my favorite Mario game... but a big, big point is just the movement. Compared to Sunshine, Odyssey movement feels so slow. And FLUDD is just so much more fun to platform with than cappy
If we get a new AC or a major update to New Horizons I need majority focus to be villager dialogue, I want 3 bibles of writing for villager dialogue. They have the engine and skeleton for everything else, bring back the soul
Really hoping the next console is brand new with a fresh gimmick. Keep it hybrid but do something cool like a dual screen
Sunshine by far has one of the worst movement mechanics of the series. It doesn't feel tight and accurate compared to the other titles.

What if Bandai just made Nintendo their own souls like as an exclusive? Doesn't have to be Zelda theme, could be it's own original IP.
I had a different idea for how the Switch Too will do dual screens
With the specs for magnetic joycons I believe it'll operate like a phone or tablet where you can rotate it for a vertical orientation and attach the Joycon to the top and bottom as well as the sides like normal that will effectively replicate dual screens on a single one to keep cost down
I just hope it has a similar UI glow up as the DS to 3DS transition
If they didn't use them to cover Tears of the Kingdom's delay I don't believe there were EVER any HD Zelda ports

40:47 They've already said it would take WAY too much time and resources to be worth it, like it would be akin to making a new game from scratch, losing most benefits as to why you'd make a port in the first place over a new game

That makes so much sense regarding joycons and vertical or horizontal orientation.
Id love to see some older xbox games on switch2, specifically the Fable games as by the time the switch comes out we'll probably have more new Fable news, so re-releasing the older games could build some extra hype. Plus, I'm thinking of Fable the Journey, and replacing the kinect with the joy cons cause I'd love that!

The only things I can guess for the Switch 2 are these features: its real name is the Nintendo DX; the console has three screens: an exterior display that is touch sensitive and two interior displays, one on top that is not touch sensitive, and a bottom one that is, it opens like the DS and 3DS of old and it connects to the TV using a stick (akin to Amazon Fire TV Stick); the battery is double the size of the original Switch; it is backwards compatible with the original Switch; to top it all off: Zelda: Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD are launch titles.
As cool of an idea as that is, that thing would be so expensive
@@Krakenjackz Not necessarily. If the CPU and other parts are prior gen, they can bring the price down to roughly $399.
All I want for switch 2 is FULL backwards compatibility with physical games along with proper complete on cartridge physicals of Cyberpunk 2077 Alice Madness Returns (probably the least likely because EA sucks) Metaphor and Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 and 3+ReMind
Couple of hilarious thing discussed here. Miyazaki would retire first than put a some random guest character in his games when he is incredibly particular about the consistency of the worlds he creates. Even the DLCs/Expansions for his games are not just an option that you select from the menu, but rather integrated into the base game. You will never see him sell out for some idiotic guest character appearance in his games.
People really think Atlus are some huge company when they aren’t. P3Reload just released, all focus is on Metaphor ReFantazio now, P6 still deep in development and SMT Vengeance is also releasing in a few months. All their core teams, PStudio, Team Maniax and Studio Zero are all busy and they don’t have the manpower to remake a damn P4 game atm.
Lastly, surprised nobody mentioned Astral Chain 2, one of the best exclusives on the Switch and is definitely due a sequel if not an original IP from Platinum.
I'm hoping the next console is backwards compatible because I'm sitting on a huge backlog of games. I would also love a Path of Radiance remake as long as Radiant Dawn comes with it. Those are my favorite Fire Emblem games that I've played.

Pack-ins sell at a loss.... Pack are just a good service for the consumer but it does nothing for Nintendo if the system is already attractive.
