Raja preferred LRE’s voice too, as per the rumor mill. But Eshwari showed attitude to arguably the greatest composer to have walked this earth and paid the price. The only person who still got some chances after showing attitude to Raja was TMS.

Raja lost nothing by ignoring LRE. Raja doesn’t need lyrics or voices. His instrumentals speaks volume of his talents. Janaki knew it right away, Susheela learnt it later, LRE never did and missed out singing for the best composer ever. It is her loss, not Raja’s. And LRE is not a bigger singer than either Susheela or Janaki. She had her strengths and there are songs that only she can sing just like there are songs just for PS or SJ or VJ

Raja lost nothing by ignoring LRE. Raja doesn’t need lyrics or voices. His instrumentals speaks volume of his talents. Janaki knew it right away, Susheela learnt it later, LRE never did and missed out singing for the best composer ever. It is her loss, not Raja’s.
And LRE is not a bigger singer than either Susheela or Janaki. She had her strengths and there are songs that only she can sing just like there are songs just for PS or SJ or VJ
Eswariyakka is a great singer no doubt but no way near Susheelamma.
Nonsense comment... Janaki is far better than everyone.. Suseela has clarity and honey voice. LR Easwari suits for peppy and jazz songs.. TMS and LRE loose talks about IR was the cause for their downfall.. TMS said 'intha thavil company romba nalaiku odathu'..
