- Most of the riding I've done here recently has been in the more open and flat woods. I was finally able to get the other more technical and hilly woods cleaned up and run some laps around the track. I am trying to get out and ride once a week when I don't have a race to keep myself in shape. Got some good practice in and ready to do some racing here in the near future. Hey Tyler, nice terrain to train on. I experience the same problem with over-growth in my woods. There are two ways to clear trails real quick. Grab yourself a brush cutter or better yet, invite some of your atv buddies and ride to burn in the route. I perfer inviting friends because its fun but it seems none of them can find time or have a running quad or bike. So, I have to make effort to ride often or clear my trails with the brush cutter which sucks if its hot and humid.
Yeah, unfortunately with this land, my dad and I are the only ones aloud on it. I’m not aloud to have any friends ride with me so I’m solo when it comes to clearing trail. I went through before hand and cut out all the overhanging branches and that kinda stuff but in terms of beating in the trail, the only real way is to turn laps like you said. After doing some laps it’s starting to open up.
That riding ground looks really fun, where you located? From the looks it’s probably southern Indiana
Central/southern indiana. I live in Brazil indiana which is about an hour southwest of Indianapolis so your pretty close with the guess. And yes, it’s a lot of fun. I love the tight and technical stuff and throw in some steep hills here and there
