    It would be a better idea not to place the machine after unwrapping back onto a soiled dental Bib, place it on a clean one , also you should wipe down your machine twice the first is more cleaning the second pass is to sterilize , switch gloves in-between, make sure to check the Label of your disinfectant to see the proper kill time usually 1 to 5 minutes , make sure the product stays wet on the machine for the full kill time, you can also fill a rinse cup with the cavicide etc and submerge the grip into it , not the machine obviously, a step you can take on the original wand and hopefully the power wand would be to unscrew the top of the machine and remove the motor push rod etc, you can then clean the machine body more thoroughly and the plunger rod, remember to re lube after with super lube etc a very small amount just on the ball of the plunger. Bishop you need me to re do the video haha? You gotta take advantage and advertise your tattoo pen is one of the only that can be opened fully for proper cleaning unlike Cheyenne and fk irons .

      Thank you for your tips. Since this is a general video, there are many ways to clean and sterilize. Local Health laws may vary in different parts of the world, this is why we don't mention any specific disinfectant. To be safe, always check with local body art health laws in your county for your tattoo business.

      I completely agree! It sounds like we clean our machines the same way - remove the spline and clean, then chemically sanitize by fully submerging the spline in Madacide. Could do the same with the grip that comes with the machine but we prefer the disposable grips. This is the exact reason why we chose Bishop, because there aren't any other wireless machines that can be almost completely disassembled to clean. It's nice to see another tattooist advocating for sanitizing as thoroughly as humanly possible. Thank you

    Does the chemicals not seep into the battery pack through the buttons and botch the unit? Most of those chemicals need to soak and be wet for as low as a minute. What's the work around here?

    Hello
    I have a question about the power wand shader one , so the recommended voltage says between 8,5-10 volts. I feel to strong that voltage and it’s looks like damage the skin more .
    So my question is if I’m using on 6-7 voltage is that cause any problems with the machine ?
    Thanks

    • @BishopTattooSupply
      @BishopTattooSupply  Před rokem

      The voltage can vary depending on your personal hand speed and needle configuration you are using. If you notice the skin being damaged, you my want to lower your voltage. The shader has a 3.5mm stroke and a softer motor, so it will be great for PMU or slower hand speeds, but again, we would recommend contacting a mentor or fellow tattoo professional for advice for your specific hand speed and the needles you use.

    Can you clean this one as well as the OG? I never see anyone access the motor

    • @BishopTattooSupply
      @BishopTattooSupply  Před rokem +1

      Correct, our Power Wand machines are built with a sealed motor area to prevent any liquids from entering in the spline. Check out the users guide for a detailed maintenance guide and if you have any issues, we have our expert builders here in California that will personally fix your machine for any issues.

      @@BishopTattooSupply Do you need do apply grease to the drive bar? If so...does it just perpetually collect grease around the drive bar area since you can't open that area of the wand?

    I’m so confused why I have never been taught bagging it on the inside of the grip and the outside? If you wrap it correctly and use membrane cartridges there should be 0% chance of contamination inside the grip no?

    • @carquita
      @carquita Před 4 měsíci +2

      Because a lot of people touch the cartridges on the top while tattoing and they insert them again, contaminating the machine

    Which is better for realistic tattoo? The 4.2mm or 3.5mm

    • @BishopTattooSupply
      @BishopTattooSupply  Před 11 měsíci +2

      We have seen both be used for Realism. Check out Artists like Carlos Torres, who uses 3.5 stroke Shader. You can check out Matt Jordan who uses 4.2 stroke Packer, you can even check out Mister Troshin, who uses 5.0 stroke Liner, for his realism pieces.

      You will feel way more confident and comfortable on 3.5, it allows you to take your time, 4.2 is for more experienced-fast tattoers. 😎

    • @BishopTattooSupply

    • @x_z0mb1_x
      @x_z0mb1_x Před rokem +4

      @Bishop Rotary but is it possible to open it up by unscrewing the top or will this some how cause damage ? In the power wand promo video you see one with the top removed and it looks like it should unscrew unless it's been glued on now, I really hope your still able to open it if you want as this is one thing that really separates your machine from the competition because even when practicing perfect cartridge handling using membrane needles etc it is still a huge benefit to be able to open it up inspect inside for any signs of ink and also re lubricate the push rod etc.
