  • Bishop x Critical Power Wand Tattoo Machine Review and Wand Comparison
    This has been one of my most requested videos from you guys so I’m excited to share my review of Bishop Rotary’s latest tattoo machine and collaboration with Critical Tattoo, the Power Wand.
    I wanted to wait to make this video until I had enough time using the Power Wand to give a fair review rather than just a first impression. After about six months using this tattoo machine, I’m ready to share my feedback on it.
    From the price to pros and cons, to my take on the two sizes of batteries and comparing the original Bishop Wand to the Power Wand - I share my thoughts and opinions in this video.
    While I am sponsored by Bishop Rotary, I’m not getting paid to make this review. These are my honest thoughts on the Power Wand and I hope it helps you decide whether or not this is a machine you’d like to add to your collection.
    Let me know which video you’d like to see next by commenting below. The options this time are:

    Only speaking from experience and knowing both machines and have worked with both machines I really haven't found a video that explains it the best quite like this. My type of dude always trying to better himself and his knowledge of the art.

  • @richardrodriguez-lj1uf

    Thank you for being honest. I would love to hear you talk about what machine you recommend for stippling as its the smoothing gradient ive seen in any tattoo in my opinion. Thanks again!

    Hey man I love your stuff and IG. Would you be willing to do a video that demonstrates the situations/styles each wand is best for? Like a head to head on shader vs packer in area like dot work, fineline, pepper, smooth b&g etc... So we can visually see the differences. Right now I have a packer and I'm finding it hard to justify throwing down on the shader
    Much love man

    I have the packer and the shader. I bought the packer first because it’s more allround but ended up getting the shader too because my style is fineline, pepper and b&g. Some blowouts definitely occurred with the packer when finelining sadly. Had the sol nova unlimited 3.5 before it.

    • @dawidkargul
      @dawidkargul Před rokem

      Hi, why did you switch from sol nova 3.5 to bishop?

    • @JOKE485
      @JOKE485 Před rokem +1

      @@dawidkargul Because for me the Sol nova unlimited was too advanced.
      I didn't like that I couldn't read the voltage accurately.
      It also was difficult to wrap and weighted a lot more too.
      I do like the Sol nova motor more than the Brushed motor the wand shader has though.
      And the Sol nova battery costs 10 bucks rather than 300 bucks from the Powerwands.
      But I feel a lot more comfortable with my Bishop machine rather than the sol nova unlimited I had.
      Hope this helps.

    Thanks for your videos, all very informative and well made. I am just starting out with tattooing but want to invest in a quality machine rather than get frustrated practicing/learning on something of lesser quality. Mainly black/grayscale to start, illustrative-to-realistic styles. Which machine is the most diverse for me to start with…liner, shader, packer?
    (I understand that I’ll eventually own all 3).
    Thanks

    • @nizwop566
      @nizwop566 Před rokem +1

      Go with the packer because it does everything, then once you completely improve in black and grey realism get the shader

    That's not true it's the tattoo artist that makes the tattoo look amazing. Dig it's like buying a pair of Jordan shoes everyone wants them cuz of the name and they feel they are the best but at the end of the day. are them Jordan shoes gonna make you play basketball like Michael Jordan hell no. I tattoo myself. self taught and I believe that's the best way my opinion again. I also did 10 years in prison you can give a me tape player motor and a Guitar string and home made prison ink and I will do the same exact tattoo with that as I could with a Bishop wand packer or a flux I have them both and I have the Cnc x we my opinion again the Cnc x we feels better to me its not the tattoo machine it's the artist that makes the tattoo look good... let me ask you this do you think your clients give a shit what your using NO if the tattoo looks Amazing and heals up amazing at the end of the day. I won't ever spend that kinda of money on a tattoo pen with a little motor in a tub I don't understand people that believe the tattoo machine is gonna make you better that's bullshit I will stick with my Cnc X We with a German motor and yes the tattoo machine is from China let me just say this China is killing the tattoo game with their tattoo machines hands down they make are cell phones, I phones TVS just about everything. Bishop wand is not worth the money at all... and that's for real your clients and gonna clap their hands cuz you have a Bishop wand tattoo machine they want a good Artist. It's like painting it's not the brush it's the person people wake up this guy will probably take this down cuz I am telling everyone the truth. Don't waste your hard earned money for something that costs them maybe 100 dollars to make and I believe they are all made in china and if not I know for a fact the USA gets there Parts from China and Japan to build their machines. Look all of this up for yourselfs hummingbird bronc makes a amazing tattoo machines with Swiss motors. Cnc is using the same Motors as Bishop wand real talk Cnc and bronc makes Is quality tattoo machines trust me guys I have been tattooing 15 years of my life.

      If You work at top quality, eventually You want to increase the price according to the quality you give, the experience and the material you use. I used chinese machine for 2/3 years, but I cant ask 900 $ for a piece with a chinese machine (unstable, rca connection might broke easily, can’t put it in autoclave, made by tattoo artist for tattoo artist) is like to say I want to be a professional driver but I use the bike. You can do it, but the uber will gain more and give a better service. That said You can do a nice work also with handpoke.
