Vinhos is my favourite introduction into the Lacerda universe, it can be difficult to convince people to dip their feet into heavy boardgames, but when you say "you only have 12 actions" the challenge of a heavy game becomes much more palatable

Came back to this video for the rules teach to show my partner before we sat down to play Vinhos (2010, of course) for the first time. Monique does an amazing job explaining the rules here-- we were able to jump into our first game with (almost) no problems. We've played four games over the course of 5 days and the rules teach was definitely instrumental in getting us to feel comfortable with the game. Up next: On Mars!

Fantastic teach and playthrough! One thing I noticed, before the Wine Fair every player who didn't issue a press release *must* do so if they have any wine available. It's true they don't get all the benefits if they did a press release as an action earlier (maybe what you were thinking by going there at the end of year 3), but they *can still add* a barrel or two to the magnates at the start of the fair, they just *can't move* a barrel for a magnate action. Again, great video!

Hi. Don't let the 2010 vintage fool you. The bank adds another wrinkle, but it's not bad. On the positive side, the magnates are much simpler and smoother in the 2010 side. I prefer it greatly.

Truly enjoy your play throughs, thanks for such great channel content! It doesn't look like this was caught, but at 53:08 I believe there is a rule inaccuracy, where you state that you are taking your Press Release as an action in order to place out barrels, "because if you wait until the Fair stage you won't be able to place barrels". However, you ARE allowed to place up to 2 barrels, on Magnates that you Satisfy, when you hold your press release at the start of the Fair phase; the only thing you are not allowed to do is move a barrel to activate/use any Magnate action in the Fair stage. Just want to point this out as it can have a huge effect on strategy and timing. Thanks again for another great play though!!

Quoting some remark on both I saw online somewhere: 'Vinhos is a game about wine, Viticulture is a game about making wine.' I enjoy both, but Viticulture definitely is more about the Vineyard, the estate itself, decorating and improving it, your customers and their wine-orders. Vinhos zooms out and takes in everything that has to do with wine like investments, promotions, region selecting, paying wages, international shipping, the weather. One's for fun through easy to grasp tactics, the other for enjoyment through deep strategy.
