Joy designs for adults, Noz for rich toddlers and Darren for gay vampires.
You win the comment section! 😂
Agreed you win😂
this is absolutely amazing … as a gay dude with the brain of a toddler i can confirm this is true. i’m not sure about calling people adults though, that’s kinda derogatory
Agreed 👍💯😂😂
Nailed it!
Darren's design kind of looks like a classical painting, really theatrical and romantic. Noz one reminds me of a colourful toy house and Joy's design looks really functional, universal and modern
I really love Darren's eye as well. It has so much magic, character and drama. I mean I love all the designers different perspective, but Darren is the most conceptual/artistic.
I wonder if Noz watched Pee-wee's Playhouse as a kid.
Or Beetlejuice?
Darren's giving star Trek vibes, like volcan home world aesthetics ☺
@@thegooddinggleberry Spok chopping onions... Ahahaha
Darren’s design breaks boundaries and is so eye opening in just how malleable rooms can be
I would hire Darren personally. I think he has got more eyes into 3 dimensional spacial Architectural design.
100% agree
I would let Joy and Darren collaborate. Their individual approach could really give life to a functional yet sophisticated space for decades to come.
@@Alr1ghtyThen they would definitely hate each others ideas
Joy’s is the most relatable, useable, down to earth kitchen. Darren’s is giving multi million dollar mansion vibes. And Noz’s whimsical design style seems like it would great in a video game.
exactly.... read my mind
Joy is found with freedom. Period. I see beauty in the haredim. But neverforced
You are afraid, and with good reason; force will always ultimately fail.
Learn from this. Or face extinction
@@oliveoil4380 😂
Exactly,
Arch Digest you've hit a gold mine with this series. Please continue
Darren is a clear winner for me. I like to imagine that after 20yrs in this house you would be sick of the boring kitchen and his gives the feeling that you are finally living your best life and you suddenly want to invite friends over for the 1st time since the kids moved out.
As beautiful as it is, it's so specific in style that I would grow out of it very quickly. It's the sort of thing that would have my jaw drop in awe in like a hotel suite or airbnb where I spend a couple days, but not the sort of thing I'd want to live with day in and day out.
Both it’s not fair because the ceilings aren’t really realistic unless it’s a 1 story house with attic space
Agree.
Love his layout and the added windows. Also, the look is very cohesive and works. Not my style, but I appreciate it!
He had me until the green chairs
Darren's concepts are next level. Always excited to see what he comes up with. He's a bit of a trailblazer for sure.
Very impractical and flawed designs though. It may be pretty, but not functional, which should be a high consideration for a designer. He should be an artist, not a designer.
@@BlueSaphire70 it's like with fashion. he designs for the catwalk and big fashion shows but not thigs to actually wear on a daily basis.
Very true. I was impressed with the barrel roof and how it was incorporated into the wall of windows.
@@BlueSaphire70what exactly is impractical?
@@michelc1200 I also find all his spaces perfectly practical. Perhaps not everyone has the same style of living as BlueSaphire70 and they don't realize it. ;)
Noz has a cool all out approach which works for this "no client" format really well, I'm sure it'd tone down to some level of maturity once a client is introduced in her process. I already wrote in one of the other videos that the only way you get good and actually usable spaces out of Noz and Darren is stopping them midway in their process when the room looks complete cuz it screams "Overworked"
I would love Darren's kitchen design in my own space, it has this "fancy restaurant" feeling where it's very intimate and elevated
omg I loveee Noz's vibe, she's so sweet. Style-wise, Darren was making me gasp in each segment, like all my kitchen fantasies I didn't even know I had are check-marked. I'm taking inspiration from his design for my own home.
hell naw
No way would he touch my kitchen. He doesn’t believe in function.
Totally agree Daren won this one for me. His design was such a cohesive statement. Noz's is a lot of fun too
the idea of a sofa in a kitchen is insane, i love it
Darren’s design is on another level! I die after seeing those windows! Designer can really work like magician 😍
When he started taking out the cupboards and replacing with windows I hated it, but the finished product is incredible!
Yesssss the windows were a game changer!
Those windows were lovely!
I am loving this series. All 3 of them are incredibly talented and it's so fun seeing the different perspectives and design approaches to the same space. Good job!
+1, I’m hoping they filmed more of these and we’ll get them dropped in the weeks and months to come!
I don’t think I’d want any of these, but if Joy worked with one of the other to (to reel them in a little😅) i think they’d make something perfect for me
Joy’s design is mass friendly but the layout is extremely problematic with the sink pushed up right next to the stove.
Noz’s design started off really well and got chaotic with every element and looked like an over designed toy kitchen . The lapis lazuli with the spider legs was just too overpowering for the space which already had a million colours.
Darren’s design started off very basic and boring but by the end was elevated to a dream kitchen! Very chic!
I dislike stove next to sink as well. Or stove next to fridge.
I agree, Noz is usually my favorite designer of this series and while her style kitchen is more close to my personal style, Darren is the clear winner to me. When Noz added that island she lost me. I love the ceiling, the lights, but if she'd used a different table and island I think it would have looked way better, and I think it would have been nice to use those elements to match the simple color blocks of the cabinets and the fridge.
Agreed. If Noz used something like a transparent island or a mirror effect then matched the top to her kitchen counter, or at least matched it with her cabinets, it might’ve looked better. I’d suggest replacing the blue lights into something else as well, but the ones she used were fine I guess.
Having a sink next to the cooker is good and practical though, especially if you make a lot of pasta/soups. It means you don’t have to walk across your kitchen to get the water, or spill hot water over yourself as the sink is right next to you.
@@ladydee4692 agreed. She redesigned our understanding of a functional kitchen.
Darren’s Design is something that we all want but we can’t afford.
Noz’s Designed is fun and colorful with just a perfect contrast. It’s it’s something a girly girl would love.
Joy’s meanwhile Design is just the perfect homie, cozy and realistic design. It’s something that reminds you of a family’s gathering space.
Above all. I still would really love to have Darrens’s design. It’s a dream!!
I'm confused by Joy's decision to shorten the length of the wall cabinets and counter top along the window wall for no apparent reason, so you end up with one tiny countertop next to the sink and the sink is right up against the stove on the other side. She said she emphasizes function, but she has eliminated most of the storage in favor of a wall of refrigerators/freezers. Just kind of odd and somewhat bland.
Also notable that Noz is the one who commented on not wanting a "chaotic" look -- then that design???
Amazed no one else seemed to have an issue with this. I love cooking, canning, baking etc, I don’t see that being something that could be done easily in her kitchen. Now having a personal chef who leaves meal prep for you, sure lol.
Joy's kitchen was nice but I was so perplexed by that wasted space on the window wall. I held out hope til the bitter end, lol. Also, that stunning red stove should be positioned where it can be seen from any and every angle.
I assumed the island had more storage and definitely added more countertop.
I LOVE this series. I love the completely different approaches each designer takes. It is so fascinating.
I love Noz's design. It's funky, it's bright, it's colorful. This is a kitchen I would feel at home in.
Joy's is very traditional and cozy.
Darren's feels like a loft apartment in a downtown warehouse. Elegant.
i loooove darren's designs! he is my fave cause i love escapism and his designs are so otherworldly nd weird and quirky...Noz as well but she always sorta manages to reign in her weird and quirkyness loool nd infuse it with alot of bubbly pastel colours. joyce on the otherhand, that woman is a master of geometric hard shapes, which is a very difficult style to dabble in cause one tinny tiny wrong mistake in colour or material or anything else your design immediately looks tawdry, archaic and unbalanced in the most distasteful way possible lool. These three are amazing!
Hideous and
Noz's design is soo overwhelming! I love her style but would love to see more of an effort for cohesion. More does not equal better and it feels like too many layers on top of each other, Id get sick of it so fast.
See i totally disagree. I feel like everything makes sense.
@@JAdoreEdwardCullen your on crack
I liked Noz's design until she painted the floor pink. And that island isn't functional. I love the brass table. But not for a suburban home. Way too busy for my taste.
@@JAdoreEdwardCullen to me it feels really random and ugly
I think she sees it as an opportunity to not hold back and just be creative. Her real life designs are much more practical
you can tell darren is an architect because his designs are just incredible! the way he envisions the atmosphere he wants and is able to transmit it to the space is outstanding
What do you mean? He’s not an architect, but actually Joy Moyler went to architecture school then transitioned into interiors 👍🏻
@@HomeWorkouts_LS Joy's design is how an architect would design it, I thought, on the functional side and not too particular on aesthetic themes, just neutral palette, clean looks, and the use of elements like the exposed beams to define and create separation of spaces. It's open to the taste of different people coming in to visit, practical easy going. I'd pick her design for that modern renovation of a suburban kitchen, fits the brief just right.
You can always see how inspired Darren is by earlier eras. His work always has a 60s/70s super luxe rich bachelor feel.
I always love at least 75% of Noz's designs. This time I was into everything but the island, table and chairs, as the swirly paint on the walls. I absolutely love that backsplash and the lighting fixtures are so fun!
I love darrens designs theyre so unique and suave
Is nobody else noticing that Darren’s design (while so stunning) doesn’t have a stovetop?! It’s just a fridge, sink, and oven stack. I think he forgot to incorporate one 😂
😂 it does. It's almost at the end of the counter. Very close to the wall cabinets. There's a barely visible black line, I think that's the stove. Plenty of counter space between it and the sink. And I think the oven might be incorporated in the cabinetry right below the stove
Ohh nvm, I just spotted the ovens 😂😂😂
Fun project, although I don’t love any of the solutions. The multi-legged blue island? All I could think was how impossible it would be to mop around those legs. Joy’s design is only one I’d want to live with.
It's "no restrictions". You can see from the samples in their intro that they make plenty of normal rooms, but it must be fun to just go all out without too much realism.
All three are oppressive and the antethesis of calm...I'd rather an Ikea kitchen.
Lol...that table was when i got a little frustrated because i wasn't expecting that and i did not like it at all ,i wanted something normal to be there instead, the kitchen was already so chaotic
Darren you're hired the use of natural light, space planning, materials and cabinetry are next level. You're a futuristic interior designer visionary.
I enjoyed all three! Joy's was practical and elegant - my only critiques would be that the island and the large pendants obstruct the sight lines to the amazing stove and range hood, the range/sink proximity, and my preference for more comfortable seating than wishbone chairs offer. We couldn't tell from the rendering, but I suspect the couch would be an awkward fit at that table, as well. Noz's design was what I would want if I were a pop star doing her summer cottage in Barcelona. Very fun, designed cocktails and microwave popcorn. Darren knocked it out of the park on this for me. The rendering was dark, but that would be a very bright space in the daytime and the island/dining table combo was so organic and welcoming.
I think the armchair was a great idea as far as comfort is concerned, but I agree with you that it would be an awkward fit. But I think if she kept the material and made it into a curved bench with a back rest, it would fit better and complement the round accents.
I was with Noz at the beginning but it kind went off the rails for me later on with it looking like a funhouse. Darren's design looks like a first class airport lounge not a kitchen. I ended liking Joy's the best.
it actually does look like a smokers lounge in an airport.
Joy’s is my favorite. Practical, functional, down-to-earth. Darren comes second because it’s unique, although I wished he chose a stone-based countertop. Noz, by the way, went overboard.
Hey she got to have an imaginary unlimited budget with no one telling her what she could and couldn't do so she had fun making her dream kitchen.
I love Noz’s knowledge of different designers and styles. I also love how she invasions light in a space. Her design isn’t fully for me but I still love it and how much thought was put into the choices.
I LOVE this series btw. Keep them coming!
Darren usually is too out there for me but damn if this wasn't amazing. I will say even when he's not my taste, he's never boring. Loved everyone's designs!
Once again Darren completely knocked it out of the park. The other two don't even come close for me. I'm actually in the market to hire an interior designer rn but I am just going to assume he is way out of my price range lol.
I love Joy's livable kitchen. It feels really comfortable and like a real family lives there.
Frankly, I was disappointed in all three. I was left wondering if any of them had ever actually used a kitchen for more than making toast and coffee. The first thing all three did was eliminate most of the storage, leaving no space for all the pots and pans, dishes, appliances and gadgets, and linens that the average kitchen accommodates.
Living in NY is a negative in this instance - New Yorkers aren't known for cooking at home in most instances....also it's pretty clear who is married with kids, and who is not.
@@AB-ol5uz
Maybe - I would have expected Joy’s design to be a functional, usable kitchen and it was anything but. I wish just one of them had used the opportunity to create a true family chef style kitchen - the kind everyone dreams of having. Instead we got this.
Agreed. I thought they were weird. The first felt like I would be sitting in there amongst some artsy snobby types, pretending that ugly thing was nice. Second started promising, love the stove. But feels like a kid pretending to design a house on another planet. Last one had no cabinet space and didn't look like anything went together. I suppose it's fun to play. But none are for me and I would feel I was throwing my money away.
@@dudeorduuude5211
Yes! The second looked like someone who always wanted a Barbie Dream House as a child and didn’t get one…
The original kitchen was better
Noz's design was succinctly summed up by herself in the final thoughts section, "Not having a client meant I could take what I always wanted to do in the first round before the ideas get more practical and just sort of end there." You can certainly see that here. There's no cohesion in the whole space. In this video as well as the last episode, the design elements and furnishings in her spaces might look ok or good individually, but it just doesn't go together.
I agree
I think the chaos works honestly, yeah there’s lots of colors but they work well together and the golden white hues pull everything together
@@andreja9425 I respect your opinion and perhaps you don't mind the chaos in colors here but personally, it's too much for my tastes. I prefer a cleaner palate and the fact that there are more than five colors and tones just doesn't sit well in my "minimal" eyes I suppose.
Completely agree. Too busy, too much grafics and colors. On top of that, she didn't consider dishwasher next to the sink, And there's no area for coffee station.
@@icycannonball I can understand that to an extent but my bedroom has well over 5 colors in it, although the palette, saturation and theme is consistent so it’s all unified and tied together. If you think of your room as a painting or film or some other piece of art, sometimes they look best with a monochromatic palette or with only a few key colors but sometimes they look incredible with the whole rainbow. It just depends on how you use color more than quantity of color if that makes sense. I think she was able to use color very effectively personally although I will admit that while I love this space it isn’t how I’d personally decorate it. If someone offered me to live there for free tho I’d take it 100%
I love this series. They have such unique aesthetics I love seeing them figure out the space.
Darren's is magnificent, Joy's is familiar and homey, Noz's is cute. I like that they're all different but nice. I've been looking for Darren's style.
Some spectacular choices all the way around. Is it just me, or does Darren's design lack a cooktop and vent? The beauty of all three seems to depend on a kitchen that is kept sparse. For instance, I would have liked to have seen plates and glasses on Noz's glass shelves to see if they would work in such a busy space. Love all three for the way they created places to gather.
I love Darren's design. The touches of teal makes it look so appealing. This is a kitchen that I won't mind owning for myself.
I absolutely love and adore Noz's style. Not just her Interior Design but also her fashion sense. She's also very pretty and confident in front of a camera. Love her energy lol
i would have joy's design hands down, like most actually usable and inviting. like it makes me want to have a massive dinner party and cook for all my friends
I would see Darren’s kitchen in a loft.
All his designs are very loft vibes.
@@DANIxDANGER he’s from NYC so maybe that’s why
I love this series ❤️ personally, I like Darrens design the best, because he thinks the most out of the box. And though his designs are unconventional they never really feel over the top, but still elegant and expensive.
Darren's design is gorgeous here
How on earth Darren's desgin makes more sense than Noz's in this episode? lol but I don't think copper would be a great choice for sinktop. Any acidic ingredients will ruin the countertop.
Also it smells like dirty pennies. If you’ve ever been around that patina-ed copper, it never looks or feels clean.
Oh, loved it, you guys! Darren's approach to the bones of the space was a delight for me: all upper cabinets on one wall and the lower ones on the other, providing ample counter space!! A-mazing. And the windows... yessss!! Loved the colours and the overall feel of Joy's kitchen, so inviting. Thanks AD, this was a lovely watch! And congrats to all lovely designers!!
Darren literally designs museums. His designs are so artistic.
I like Darren's windows, Joy's lighting, and Noz's lighter cabinets.
Don't ever end this series.
The whole time I was seeing Darren's kitchen it reminded me of The Top of the Standard, a bar in NYC that used to be called the Boom Boom Room. And then Joy mentioned it (I don't know if she meant the bar and that just went over the others' heads). This is to say that I'm basically an interior designer
Love this series! Darren moved the whole darn house haha
Noz’s kitchen design for when you are single, Darren’s for when you are dating and Joy’s for when you are married 😆
Nope the one Noz made was an eyesore, would be horrible to live in whether you are single married or divorced. Maybe if you are above 80 and bored its fun.
Love seeing how different their minds are and how cool and unique each space ends up being!
Joy's is the one I like as it looks like a kitchen you could actually use and is functional but still looks chic and effortless. I'm not a fan of Noz's it's too busy yet nothing stands out, it's almost like difficult to look at imo 🤔
I mean they all look functional I mean u could cook bread in all of them
@@yassnation3967 u could make bread maybe but that doesn't mean its fully functional for all things kitchen and entertaining, practical yet elegant
Joy's kitchen is my dream kitchen. I have a similar layout and I've been tring to figure out putting a couch in my dining area. I'm copying it.
Imagine my excitment to see AD pop up on my feed again, and with the same designers! All three have uniquely fantasic perspectives, and I’m here for it!
I love to see the process of creation of these designers. It is amazing to see how each one envisions the same space differently. Keep doing this kind of videos!
I genuinely LOVE these videos because you get to see three different styles and ideas. Please keep doing these 😭❤️
Love this series. It helps student designers to learn from other perspectives of designing spaces as well as learning different styles from a professional.
I’m not loving Noz’s space but I love the elements of it here and there and the island and table that she chose are so beautiful. She always has an eye for special, unusual pieces and I’m here for it. Darren’s idea of the arched ceiling and opening up the space with more windows just really changed the whole space. His kitchen is one of a kind but I feel like I’d have to update it some years later and it doesn’t seem as inviting. Joy always make the space functional and out of all 3 I like here the most for practicality. The space is also light and easy on the eyes for me. It seems like a kitchen I can use years after years and cook in it without issues
Darren has impeccable taste! The refined earthiness, moody atmosphere, and mix of textures is very impressive.
I would go for Darren's kitchen for layout and for the windows. I love the drop height table\island. Minus the lighting and the darkness of the room. This is a clear winner for me.
The only thing I liked in the "colour" kitchen is the blue light fixture.
The darkness of his design is one of the things I like. I’m not a fan of overly bright, white spaces. They hurt my eyes.
After watching this video, I don’t think my taste is bad enough to be a successful designer
I love that these are each for very specific types of clients. All three are winners.
I need more videos like this...where designers have fun and showcase their talents. All three were so different and unique!
Love all three designs! I think this series is great and I really enjoyed listening to these creatives explain their process and discuss it together afterwards.
All 3 are amazing designers! However ultimately I feel Joy’s kitchen was the best because it feels like an ideal kitchen. Noz, design was trendy particularly for what she mentioned as a kitchen that hasn’t been updated in 20-30 years. It’s a kitchen that would become dated quickly. Darren, design was certainly a hefty price point, still very dark, an occasional kitchen not for everyday living. Felt like he was designing a restaurant space oppose to a family kitchen. So Joy is my pick! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I'm so happy you're doing more of this series! I love this format, and I also love the diversity of styles. But now I'm also secretly wishing for a special episode where they work together to design a space!
they’re each complete geniuses in their craft!! so fun to see what they create :)
Darren's is my style. Darren's is what I would think up on my own and his designs would basically be there to like rope me into displaying my ideas. I like how Noz uses unique pieces and color. It's not my style, but as she kept adding elements to it the space became more interesting. I like to think of color being an important factor in design. I'm not that into open shelving, but from a design perspective I love the acrylic pink shelving. Joy's design I wasn't as into, and I do like how she takes more of an elevated traditionalist's approach. I just couldn't get past the flooring, moving the stove over, and then adding a washable velvet sofa to the round table. I think I would've liked it to be similar to Darren's in a way that the eat in kitchen is part of the island. Like it's a traditional island, but then there's like an eat in bench connected to it with column legs or something. I wasn't as into the stools or the lighting since it's been overdone a lot. Lighting and stools are where you can have more fun picking out unique fixtures that are statement pieces. I really enjoyed this type of video with 3 different designers, and I want to see more so I can drool over it.
I love these!!!! Love to see the different designers designing the same space
I love these videos! Seeing different professionals' perspectives on the same area is fascinating. And I'm loving the mystic feel of the male designer's room!!
I really enjoyed seeing more of the same designers! It helps to show their specialties as well as their ranges.
Loving this series its great seeing the perspective of each designer
Love this series! Keep 'em coming!
Noz - doesn't want the kitchen to be "overly chaotic"
Also Noz - creates the most chaotic kitchen. Ever.
Joy - Clearly has never spent time in a kitchen. She calls the oven a stove, and forgets to put in cabinetry or any form of storage for dishes and pots.
Darren's - pretty darned cool
These designs are beautiful and very different from each other, it shows how much personality you can introduce to a space. I also love the designer talk, they're so humble and nice to each other.
Very cool, including the fact that they got to chat with and about each other's designs at the end. Here I am sitting in my 1960s kitchen in my 1951 home, and I'd like to pluck the designer from the past to have a chat with these three and see how much things have changed.
I love Noz work so much. She has such a good talent when it comes to color. Not only the combination of it, but also how to manipulate colors and light. So amazing. And yes. Her interior is bold. A pink kitchen faucet - thats a statement but for me she her designs are very basic not in a bad meaning but in the meaning of very liveable and very practical but with the hint of individualism and a touch of crazyiness.
Joy is an amazing designer too. She has no own style. She really looks what customer wants and needs and moreove what is practiable and liveable. Getting her as a designer - you will never get wrong b/c she designs functional. she understands what is life about and she put it into the designs so that the furniture supports it.
And Darren.. well Darren. I can see his creativity but these are not very liveable design. Yes in a hotel or maybe in a museeum, maybe a house in LA for 50 Millions. But look at this massive cabinets... 3 children, one dog and you in the mids of it trying to cook pasta and trying to find the noodles in those cabinets while the water is cooking, the dog is barking, the kids are screaming and ups is ringing at the door. hell no. this will never gone working.
I couldn’t agree more about what you said about Darren. Darren has a very unique style and vision, which is very interesting and provokes discussion and awe. But I couldn’t see myself living in any of his spaces for more than a few months or a year. They don’t have any warmth of a real livable home. Feels like his designs are for a single person (bachelor) or a couple with no children and pets.
his design are like for lonely celebs only idk
Noz’s work is bold and reminds of the Kelly Wearstler vibe. Love her!
I get what you mean especially about Darren but I would love something that kinda marries his design with Joy's, for me I think that would look amazing (especially if you pull in the functionality of hers)
Now hahaha we need to see the bedroom 🙌🏼
I love how Noz articulates her thoughts even towards other, she looks like she’s fun to hangout with
It's so funny how the vibe n the look of each designer CLEARLY shows in their work I love that 😄
I can imagine Noz's kitchen catering to a young couple with one or two toddlers. It's entertaining, like Darren's, but for a younger clientel. I can picture young children baking in that kitchen.
They're all crazy !
I love how the three of them geeked out about each others' works 😊
My FAVORITE series on CZcams!! Please keep on doing these! I love them so much.
I loved the layout and the added windows of Darren’s design but he lost me with the shape of the island table and some of his materials would work fabulously on a bar or a restaurant but not necessarily a residential kitchen
I agree its beautiful but gives less of a cozy home spave
Yey I loved the diversity of this trio 😍 they all are talented and have a strong aesthetic
I love this series, they're each giving different unique ideas
I love how different the designs were, the power of a vision.
My favorite series!!! All options amazing, but Darrens works always looks soooo fabulous... I dont know what kind of magic it is, but on first steps with cabinetry and counters you think "O my, what is this, why its so dark and rough, but on final results its Wooooooooowwww". Joy really sensitive for her clients I think, because her interiors actual in trends, but so comfortable and practical for real life. And Noz like the star of iconic, bold decisions for people, who love this life and want to get all from it :)
Although none of these kitchens reflect my personal style, I appreciate each of their unique aesthetics and design choices. I really enjoy hearing their thought processes and I hope AD continues this series to include bedrooms, offices, studios, and all!
I second that. None of these design suggestions reflects my preferences either but enjoyed watching the concept work and the process. Great series! Btw, I would prefer a less "creative" kitchen and tone it all down. I'm more mellow. To me the kitchen is a place to relax and wire down and I need subtle matt surfaces and simple solutions. That's me.
Noz’s design are so so fun, And she’s so sweet!
More of this series pleaseeeeee!!!! i love all the designs and its fascinating to hear all of these designers and their design process.
I just love these three together. Their personalities all compliment each other so perfectly and their styles are all so varied. You can see all of them secretly taking notes off each other as well.
Such. A. Great. Series!
Joy’s design is the one that (personally) feels the only one that’s practical for a real life home. Darren almost created something that looks like it should be inside a train carriage. Noz’ design is interesting but it does feel a bit like something you’d find into a toy house. Joy’s design definitely is the most “standard”, yet is the only one that brings the outdated old design into a modern refresh while keeping it functional and inviting.
I agree except for that velvet couch pushed up against the table. Can you imagine sitting on that thing to eat a meal? You’d either have to sit back and hold your plate in your lap or perch on the edge of the cushion and have your plate about level with your collarbone.
Having a rug and a couch in a kitchen had to be the least practical thing I’ve ever seen
yes, most people prefer common and standard designs; anything truly creative, unusual and colorful frightens the bejesus out of people
@@patoises the patronizing is so funny here lol. they're just kitchens, mary

Not to mention how greasy it would get. And how the nap of the velvet would hold onto cooking smells…
I love how the designers interacted at the end.
DARREN JETT's vision for this kitchen is my favorite by far. I would love to cook and dine with guests in something that beautiful 😍
