The petrol we see and use is much different than the petrol that’s under ground because what we use is refined. Believe it or not, petrol does have a shelf life. You may be planning to store your motorcycle for a while, or you just don’t ride it enough to use a full tank of petrol all that often and wonder if that petrol inside will eventually expire.
Petrol degrades quickly as it reacts with heat, ultraviolet light, oxygen (tank venting) and ozone. Within 3 to 4 weeks, untreated petrol vented to the atmosphere will start to show signs of deterioration through the formation of polymers (unstable hydrocarbon fuel molecules) and the vaporization of light ends (fuel evaporation). The polymers (varnish) will tint the color of the fuel while evaporation causes the lighter ignition vapors to disappear. The result is a progressively darker, heavier, stickier and less volatile fuel.
So, how long does it take for gas to go bad in a motorcycle? Unstabilized gas in a motorcycle can start going bad in about 30 days, especially when it is not being used. The exposure to oxygen eventually changes the chemistry of gas which can lead to gum and varnish deposits. Petrol should not be used if it has been sitting for longer than 6 months. Stabilized Petrol should not be used after 6-12 months.

I totally agree with you I had one excellent 2 stroke legendary bike roadking yezdi I used to start after 1 year it used to start without any problems.but once piston top and rings got stuck due to sludge deposit got it repaired by 300 rs including spares but paid 200 for transportation.I have a very good experience of the same 👍 thanks for the valuable information

1. Agar bike regular use ho rahi hai but usage kaafi kam hai, to bhi petrol kharab hone lagega kya (daily approx 3 km but full tank ki wajah se 2 se 2.5 mahina lag jata hai khali hone me)?
2. Diesel ki self life kitni hoti hai?

ध्यान से देखये वीडियो में जो जार दिखाया गया है, उस में से पहले जार में पेट्रोल नहीं डीजल भरा हुआ होगा। हल्का हरा रंग डीज़ल का होता है। पेट्रोल का रंग संतरे रंग का या फिर लाल टाइप से होता है, जो कि उसमें मिली डाई की मात्रा पर निर्भर है होता है।
4000 -7000 km run after engine oil changed recommended by company on ktm Duke bikes but in my case I work at home therefore less riding my bike and even 8-9 month i just run 2000 km should change engine oil or after 4000 km run ...?

आपकी बात सत्य है, मेरी गाड़ी में पेट्रोल दो साल तक भरा रहा, लोकडाउन के बाद बैटरी बदल कर स्टार्ट की तो इंजन खराब हो गया। पेट्रोल टैंक में तारकोल जैसा तरल पदार्थ मिला जो साफ़ करने पर भी साफ नही हुआ। टैंक बदली करना पड़ा, इंजन में वाल्व एवम् पिस्टन बदली करना पड़ा।
पेट्रोल पर व्हिडिओ सही है लेकिन डिझेल पर भी बनाये धन्यवाद

You did not discuss about octane number of petrol..which is main unit of purity of petrol. If the octane number is more than 92 then petrol is good and it will last for long time...
