I took my brand new EDC X9 to the range last Tuesday and put about 350 rounds of different ammo brands, weights, and types through it. It was right on target for me. The same for the Wilson Combat Experior that I bought a couple of months ago. It seems like Wilson Combat should have discovered that upon testing that prior to shipping. They include a target paper in the bag with the gun. Was that low too?

Pretty sure they designed the grip of edc x9 to be held with a magazine in the gun.....why add extra bulk to a pistol so you can get a full grip without any ammo to shoot? All 3 are great pistols...the WC just seems sleeker and more innovative to me. The dovetail plunger tube...screwless grips, the fact there is no grip safety, plus the best 1911 parts availiable all point to the WC being the clear winner in my book. Well worth the extra money.
Lets say Staccato vs Wilson Combat is the same decision when you want race Paris- Dakkar with an BMW X5 vs Toyota Land Cruiser. With time Bul Armory and Staccato will be just a hype because they will malfunction and it will cost a fortune to repair and put them together. Look to Wilson Combat frame is one frame no screws and less parts who will break with time.
Atlas has a video of them taking apart a high round count “artist formally know as” pistol. They took measurements and gave it a green light for being something not made by them. So the Staccato will likely be just fine down the road.

Why don’t you just get a lower front sight
Take a shot everytime he says "ANYWAY". Just kidding, thank you for the comparison!
I think you were more excited about the Bul
Pretty sure they designed the grip of edc x9 to be held with a magazine in the gun.....why add extra bulk to a pistol so you can get a full grip without any ammo to shoot? All 3 are great pistols...the WC just seems sleeker and more innovative to me. The dovetail plunger tube...screwless grips, the fact there is no grip safety, plus the best 1911 parts availiable all point to the WC being the clear winner in my book. Well worth the extra money.
Your voice sounds so much like Chef John’s from Foodwishes!
Not sure if that’s a compliment but I’ll take it that way😎
It is possible WC accidentlally put the wrong sights on the pistol
I don’t think so. Everyone of my Wilson’s shoots low out of the box.
Bul Armory.....is where it's at.
Nice review. Thank you.
I got the edc x9 and I'm not experiencing any accuracy issues whatsoever I wonder if it's the barrel or something
Nah. Just the way I shoot. Put the adjustable rear sight and I’m very accurate now 🤷🏼♂️
Several people and myself included shoot the WC low stopped me from purchasing it.
Good news is I just added a new adjustable rear site and shoot it extremely accurate now.
@@JayMacklin good to hear, have my eye on the C but a little worried about capacity.
@@johnbuntin7188 its 10 rounds...thats not bad
Staccato c2 duo is the best conceal carry gun of all time!
How about reliability?
Bull Just gets a cameo?
Lets say Staccato vs Wilson Combat is the same decision when you want race Paris- Dakkar with an BMW X5 vs Toyota Land Cruiser. With time Bul Armory and Staccato will be just a hype because they will malfunction and it will cost a fortune to repair and put them together. Look to Wilson Combat frame is one frame no screws and less parts who will break with time.
Atlas has a video of them taking apart a high round count “artist formally know as” pistol. They took measurements and gave it a green light for being something not made by them. So the Staccato will likely be just fine down the road.
Honest Outlaw theorizes the rear u notch messes with your brain acquiring the front sight. He suggests swapping rear sight to a square
PS- aim for the Adam’s apple you should be fine
Agreed. I did. Got an adjustable square rear and no prob now.
@@JayMacklin isn’t that interesting? I use a u shaped with a big white front sight circle for a revolver I have... shoots great. It must be the combo... I bet instead of changing rear sight you could alternatively change the front to the oversized round and be successful too. Thanks for the brain excercise!
Wilson to dam high to go an buy any sights wow
I have all of these as well. I EDC the WC. I like the C2 but carry the P (which I like better than the C2) just fine.
I haven’t take the Bul (I have the 9mm) out yet but, it looks amazing. I don’t think it will carry as well in the summer with the flared magwell. I always wear hoodies or big coats in the fall and winter so, that’s when I carry the P and will add the Bul if my range experience goes well.
If budget is a factor, I would’ve went with a CZ P01 steel frame…which I still want.
If I were a better shooter, maybe I’d see the difference in performance. The Wilson is certainly well put together. The looks and quality are amazing.
But I shoot my full size CZs such as the SP01 as well, if not better than my pricey full size Wilson’s, Nighthawk, etc…
I had a c2 and a c. I shoot the c much more intuitively. Sold the c2.
Why would you not contact Wilson Combat they have some of the best customer service in the business. They will 100% resolve your issue if it’s the gun.
@@bearonarock so who was the rep you spoke with? Did you ask for a supervisor? I can’t imagine they would say that is the only sights they offer just look at there web page they offer multiple styles and sizes of sights. If you are a master dealer why would you not just contact your rep?
@@theprepperrevelator Honestly it's been do long ago I couldn't tell you. I got mine right after they first come out and they didn't have all the options they have today. I have several other Wilsons that shoot great so I was somewhat disappointed with my EDC X9. It's very accurate it just shoots way low. I've heard this same complaint from several others as well.
@@bearonarock I believe it’s happening, I just can’t understand why you aren’t getting it repaired. I’ve had a couple issues with pistols from them but they bent over backwards to get em resolved.
Lower the sights not raise them
No, you raise the rear sights if you want to raise your POI
You need to sell that EDC X9 to me right away. It's a piece of junk.
😀
Why not get with Wilson and get straight?? So many Wilson owners act scared to get what they paid for.
? Not sure what you mean
I wonder if Mr. Wilson is aware that questions sent to customer service go ignored? That the statement on his web page stating that if a customer has any problems and or questions all they have to do is to contact customer service turns out to be a bunch of BS? I bought a Super Sniper a month ago. On the third magazine a factory round jammed in the chamber, the BCG became frozen within the upper. I sent one email the first week, then another email the following week. That was three weeks ago and I've yet to receive a response. I realize issues happen within all types of manufacturing, but what I DO NOT understand is when a consumer invests $3,500 on what is billed as a premium AR10, encounters a major issue on the first outing to the range and is then left to spend MORE money to pay a gunsmith to solve the issue. I wonder if Mister Wilson knows this is happening in that department. Does he care? Are concepts like "Honor", "Integrity" and "Fidelity" REAL to him, or are they merely words to be spoken, then discarded when convenient?
How could you possibly like the Wilson? You say several times that it shoots low for you. Others have said the same thing. I have a C2 and it is instinctively easy to shoot really well. I don’t understand any praise around a gun you can’t shoot well. That’s kinda important. End of story…Pass on the Wilson.
Well it shoots fine now that I got different sights but I agree on the Staccatos.
@@JayMacklin Glad to hear that solved the problem. I know Wilson makes a great gun. It’s funny because I have some guns from well respected manufacturers however it’s taken considerable training to be proficient shooting them. It is amazing how easy it is to be a great shot with the Staccato lineup.
Very jealous 😏
FIRST!
First buys the drinks, since this is gun review I'll have magnum of champagne !
@@owenfriday8620, DRAT!
Carrying on about shooting low or the red sight vs green was unwatchable. I’m sure you may have some good vids but I will never know.
🤣🤣 nope. You’ll never know with zero subscribers. Go troll someone else.
The higher you raise your rear sight the lower you will shoot from compensating
The u notch sights are difficult. Wilson combat sights are similar and I shoot low as does my shooting buddy.
