Carry on! đđŒ
I have had my C2 Duo for 2 months. Just added the 507c x2 last week and have put about 220 rounds thru it with the red dot. For me, this is a game changer. My new EDC/appendix carry. Awesome weapon system.
Glad you like it, itâs a fun one. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
The optic?
Congratulations brother. Awesome pistol. Thank you for the video!
Thanks for Watching, Carry On
I love my P duo with my RMR set up. Great video awesome gun.
Thanks, Carry On
We reviewed one too and I absolutely love my C2 Duo. Itâs my new EDC! Great video
Thanks Brother, Carry On
I swear on my actual pulse, your review is the actual reason I went and bought the C2, everything you said it was đ€Ż I donât even carry my Gen3 G19 anymore.
Bought a Staccato P 4.4 the following week.
Thanks, Carry On
Just FYI, just got my ST Staccato C2 DPO, DPO is what is on the tag, and the trigger pull with my Lyman gauge has remained consistent after 350 rounds at just a hair under 4 pounds.
Get yourself a couple sheets of the Thyrm Clens for your SF and Streamlight weaponlights. Cheap and convenient. It's oldschool Motocross tech, like goggle tear-offsđđ
Excellent gun.. one of the most accurate I ever shot for a production gun
As someone who doesn't live in the country of Texas. I don't mind the Texas state logo being gone from some of the mags
Sweet pick up as that looks so nice as love the set up as you usually put some flare to it so I am waiting to see what you add or theme you put to it....Good stuff....
Thanks Brother, we shall see. Carry on
Just so everyone knows, STI has rebranded as Staccato now.
I just ordered c2. Gonna have the same set up. Anddddd I 2 love the cz p10c. Great choices
Thanks Brother, enjoy it. I have the Aimpoint ACRO P-2 on mine for a long time now.
Just received my C2 DUO carry model after ordering it through STI's Heroes program. Ordered it late August. I shot both P and C2 versions a local store/range. While I like the P more - the C2 for an EDC can't be beat. Shot a little over 100 rounds through it yesterday. I could shoot it all day long. What a sweet firearm. What I like about it - larger grip size for my bigger hands, good iron sights but prefer the installed SwampFox Sentinel red dot, high capacity mags, flat shooting compared to my other poly pistols. What I don't like about it - as John Smith indicated not completely left-handed friendly. STI sent me a video of how one of their southpaw staff members performs mag/slide releases....while not ideal I tried it at the range and it works. Noticed more C2 holster manufactures are producing EDC/IWB for us lefties.
Could you share that video? I'm a lefty too and just ordered one.
@@SuperKato1234 Thanks a lot! Never seen that technique before... will have to give it a try!
Honestly been looking for a comment in regards to lefties.
I was looking into the P awhile back and had the same interest so I emailed STI at the time and they send me a link to a website that sells Lefty mag releases. Might pick up one of the C2 duos here soon. Wish I could shoot one but there are none around here.
@@Xanth1um Do you still have that link?
Sooo out of my price range, but I so want one lol. Definitely some eye candy for me, excellent review brother. Treat her good đđșđž
Thanks Brother! Carry on
Buy once cry once and its always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission đđđ
I agree but I have to tell a story. One time one of my customers was fed up with his Lambo. He was sooo pissed off that he said if I would give him $25,000 I could have it. The most amazing deal I've ever come across I tried but in the end a 2 month old Lambo for 25k still didn't change the fact that I didn't have nor could I procure 25k so I drive a 1994 Ford! Sometimes money matters.
I just ordered one. Cz p10c is my baby. I've put about every mod on it I can. I'm glad you used it for comparison. This will be my first 2011 . I bought the Holosun 508t to pair it with.
Congratulations
Carried a commander 9mm 1911 for a couple years. Switched to a p10c for the past year. This is the closest thing to a combo of both. If I can find one where I live, this may well be my next gun.
I will say the Holosun is a much better purchase than the RMR. I own both and will tell you I really like the Holosun better. The Dot is easier to pick up and having the battery accessible on the side of the Optic is a win for me. Now in terms of drop tests nothing can compete with the RMR but for the $200 savings and more options it's a good buy imo.
Agreed, Carry On
Not sure about your warranty but you can have that grip saftey pinned.
I agree with you about the Holosun optics. I do know of people who run the SRO and they haven't had any issues as far as I know... does the SRO come with rear sights attached to the optic? I honestly don't know but that would allow it to sit further back.
I have been running the SRO on mine now for about 3+ months with no issues. I have newer vids on it. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
I just bought one. RIP BANK. I want to shoot carry Optics so bought the single sided safety to meet the IDPA requirements.
Now to choose RMR or Aimpoint P2âŠ.
I got the 508T on mine, you should order the blue "low viz" fiber optic rod through dark side precision, looks less busy through the optic
I look thru the dot at my target I donât even see the front sight in my vision. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
Have one on order and planned to use an SRO with it, but your point about the ejection port is valid... I guess I will try it out to see if there are any issues. Otherwise I'll swap the SRO with a Holosun and use the SRO on another pistol.
IMHO the C2 is too small for you. A P DUO would be perfect for ya so please just kindly send me the C2.
đ
11-07-2021. I just ordered a C2 DPO. I was at Scheels and held a non optic C 2. And loved the size and feel. I canât Waite to shoot it.
Awesome, Congratulations!
Well I think that's an awesome pistol for damn sure.
Thanks Brother, Carry On
Nice looking pistol
Need to get the CHPWS plate. Much less obtruded glass.
The only pistol I would consider selling my Shadow Systems MR920 elite for.
I have the SS too, I would keep it and still buy the Staccato.
@@bendycricket That would be cool. Can I borrow $2500?
Same
đ„đ„đ„
Iâm a huge 1911 fan and have many in all price ranges but this was my first 2011 and I have the same exact issue with the beaver tail. I thought it was my smaller medium size hands. Guess itâs just this gun! Never had this issue before with any of my many 1911âs. Still an excellent gun just wish that bump was bigger from factory, until I get it remedied I am unable to use it in carry rotation which was my intention when purchased.
I have this problem with all of mine! đ Carry On
Think I might have extreme shooters do a reduction, stipple, and bob job to see if that solves the issue. They are located here in my home town lake Havasu City. Iâll let you know how it turns out.
Hey big j, what is the best way to get that x300 clean after lots of rounds? Anything in particular you clean the bezel and finish with? Also, if you are ever looking for a p duo or XC, Iâm going to sell both of mine which are mint due to unknowns popping up.
I usually use CLP to clean it..not on the lens, I use windex. I usually put chapstick on the lens after itâs cleaned..but I forgot it this time.
Thatâs stinks brother but understandable.
Thanks for Watching, Carry On
Use tooth paste. you will be surprised how easily the build up comes off.
I use a Mr Clean Magic Eraser that you use to clean the bathroom. Just wet the sponge, and wipe the lens. Viola, problem solved. Doesnât scratch anything.
Hey Big J, do you have any experience with the Wilson EDCX9 or SFX9? I have a C2 with rmr but grips are just too thick for me. The sfx9 has thin grip and thinking it might be right up my alley. Downside is I would probably get it without optic because itâs almost impossible to get optic ready version right now. On the other hand Iâm not really good with dots right now anyways and I could always send it in to Wilson later. Iâve thought about getting a Cheely or Extreme shooters grip but donât really want to shell out 500 plus dollars on a new grip if Iâm not sure it will really be better for me.
I have shot an EDCX9 & itâs a nice gun, however I personally still prefer my C2.
If grip size is your main issue there are many companies that can do a grip reduction on your C2âŠthat would be your least expensive option. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
@@BigJohnsonGG thank you! Yeah thereâs a pretty big company locally that can do a grip reduction and stipple job and Iâve thought about going that route. The Wilson just looks so nice as well and just trying to find those who have shot both. May just end up keeping the c2
I shot them both exactly the same, so I wouldnât change, the C2 grip is a bit longer which is also a benefit for me.
I love my C2, wish I had the DUO though. Nice review as always!
Thanks Brother, Carry On
I have both. the standard c2 cut for a chambers custom plate with back up irons forward of the dot is way better and gives you a much lower cowitness which makes for less intrusion into the dot window and better view of your target
@@jp_ulis698 Nice!
I just bought a C2 DPO TACTICAl and remembered your video from months ago. Is your Red Dot setup from Dawson Precision? Is it for the DPO Carry or DPO Tactical? I would like to put a carry adapter plate on mine to keep the profile as small as possible (RMR cc or Holoson 407K) but from what I can tell looking at the Staccato and Dawson websites that would also require a new front sight which I would rather not do. Any ideas? Thanks.
Mine is the DUO from Dawson & itâs fine for me. Ive been running the SRO for a good while now & love it.
@@BigJohnsonGG THANKS--CARRY ON. SHOT MINE TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME. SWEET PISTOL
They are nice, enjoy it!
This should be the new service pistol cheers
I have the Staccatto P. I love it and like you the grip safety doesn't stick out enough to positively disengage everytime! I took a piece of adhesive velcro (fuzzy side) and attached it to the grip safety! That took care of it for now. I'm sure it will wear and I'll replace it as needed unless something better comes along!
I have pinned them down in the past...We shall see what I do on this one. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
I think I prefer. the P-DUO just as my hands are large , and have issues with compact guns , have to love Texas , as shadow systems also from the great state of Texas , wish they would become independent
I have XXL hands & this one works pretty well for me. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
Thinking of selling my Cz, xdm and hellcat for this carry lmao
Iâm very happy with mine! Got it on, AIWB right now! Carry on
Nice new shooting iron!
Thanks, Carry On
Are you still able to use the iron sights with the optic?
Yes I have the ACRO P-2 on this gun currently. I have way newer vids on this gun and my other 2011âs as well.
F15 and nukes next?
Is the bull barrel precise? Compared to bushing? Consistent is what I mean by precise.
Since both are mechanically accurate, it all comes down to the shooter. Carry on
Is this the c2 duo carry or tactical?
I would figure it would run flawlessly. That was my sons job there quality control. If the gun did not pass then he would have to work out the kinks. That is a beautyđđșđž
Thanks Brother, Carry On
Does the C2 come with a plate in case you decide to remove the red dot and use iron sights?
Yes it did. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
Very irritated with mine. They donât tell you, but you have to purchase the mounting plate separately. They do not provide it anymore any more they said they lowered the price. I paid the same. That is crappy. I have purchased 4 staccatos and was looking to get the Xc. That may have changed my mind.
They did a big announcement awhile back, saying no more plates. I have still seen some in stock with plates. There are some other companies offering plates for them as well.
Congratulation on getting this firearm. That's unheard of these days buying a gun and getting 6 mags with a new gun purchase. Half the time you would be lucky just to get 3 mags. Thanks for sharing.
Like I said in the vid, It only came with 3 / 16 rd mags. I already had the other Silver ones. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
Thanks for the review I have to agree I wish Holosun was made in the USA but man they are the best. I have never had one fail, great battery life, solar backup, and really well thought out design; if the price was not a factor I would still choose them.
Youâre literally funding the Chinese government when you buy a Holosun since the PLA basically owns Holosun. People need to educate themselves. Yeah itâs a good optic but this is a step to far for me. Made in China sure but this is 100% Chinese made and owned. The RMR is better still but save some money I guess.
What are you typing this comment on?? Your China phone or China Computer?
Do you know if you can switch the magazine release?
And are the grips interchangeable with the P?
Iâm not sure, I would email them. Carry on
Staccato's don't need a đŽ dot. That's how accurate they are đŻâŒïž
Everything is even better with a dot! Carry on
@@BigJohnsonGG Yeah especially when you're old and blind. hahahaha.
Astigmatism makes red dots no bueno.
@@patrickhowell2502 I thought the same thing as well. I have severe astigmatism is both eyes and I've had great luck with EoTech's and surprisingly my Holosun 509T. A few years back they were all starbursts. I'm not sure if the dots are getting better refresh rates and it's helping or what? But check a few out, hopefully you'll find one your eyes like
@@deathdonut7721 no kidding
which eotech models did you have luck with. Something to compare the holosun with. Did you get a green dot model? I hear that helps too.
Any issues with the 20 round mags in the C2?
No not al all. I just donât slam them in, so Not to over insert. Carry on
Awesome gun but not left handed friendly
Awesome video as you make all the right arguments for the C2 to be a ccw/edc option. Of all the 2011 manufacturers out there, I donât think you can beat the price and quality balance. I also like the idea of running bigger mags as a backup mag more than a mag with an extension on it. Since Ammo is so pricey, does that mean the gun is more affordable? đ
Thanks Man đ Carry On
Ill stick with my Cz pcr with mecgar 15 round mags and the cz 10 spring mag/ follower kit. Installed the cgw pro defensive kit. 17 rounds in a g19 sized pistol with superior reliability and saftey of da/sa with a decocker. I love the looks ,feel and the shootability of the c2 and bul sas ul but can't get behind a 2011 for ccw. To many moving parts for a ccw pistol imo. Theres a reason no special teams/ military carry 1911s anymore. Great range or comp guns though.
Thatâs why we all have choices
@@BigJohnsonGG plus I'm biased. I have over 10k rounds through my cz and it was my first pistol/ edc for 7 years lol.
Awesome looking 2011 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which do you prefer,The CZ or C2 Duo?
I like them both for different reasons, as I explained in the video. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
I got the P duo and Iâm now spoiled, itâs just a little bit bigger than this.
Yep, I could have bought either! Carry on
Really nice gun , jealous
Thanks Brother, Carry On
I have the SRO on mine and never had any issues it shoots and works great I guess if I was shooting into the wind with the gun sideways out is a vehicle there could be a chance it may hit the glass but no issues and I have put about 2500 rounds through it. I will say itâs big for A holster and everyday carry but do is the holosun . Thinking of trying out the Leupold delta point
Thanks for Watching, Carry On
Iâm happy with my DPP. No regrets!
Rad man, enjoy. Id love a honest opinion, .. not just a "its a STI/expensive" rig and is killer. A true honest opinion.
Thatâs exactly how I roll, Thanks For Watching! Carry on
How does the grip length compare to a Glock 19? I want the C2 for carry but want to know if it will fit my big hands
I have XXL hands and itâs perfect for me. Itâs a tad longer that a G19. In the video I compare it side by side to a CZ P-10C for an example. Carry on
Is that the surefire is that X300?
Yes X300
Did you consider carrying the p duo at all?
I would for sure, I could have bought either they were both there..however after holding each, this C2 Duo just spoke to me. I can always get the P later. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
Question if I get the Staccato C and want to change to the C2, can you just add the C2 grips?
I have been told it wonât work. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
I heard it won't work. Single stack to double stack is a no go.
Yep thatâs what they told me as well.
@@ckim6400 If you start with the C2 could to add the C grip?
@@BigJohnsonGG makes sense with the $500 difference between the two. If it worked the grip and 3 mags would be cheaper.
Just ordered the C2D on Saturday. I've been shooting Glocks on and off duty for so many years I decided to make a change. Hope it's worth it?? Thank you for the video and new sub here.
I think you will really enjoy it! Thanks for Watching & subbing! Carry on
@@BigJohnsonGG Any word on a tool less guide rod we can buy for this?
@@russdennis7026 No thereâs not one that I know of. Carry on
Dude you will look at your glocks like toys after you get the staccato, and the trigger will spoil you.
Nice pistol. Ill never own one thatâs way to much money for a pistol to shoot holes in paper for me. Iâd add 1000-1500 and buy a Scar just my personal opinion.
I have a few other firearms. đ Thanks for Watching, Carry On
I am paying the same cost as a PWS Mk114 đ€Šââïž
Is this the same size as a glock 19? Thanks
Pretty dang close. Carry on
$300 for a red dot is average IMO.
Not being a pro I see no reason for special forces grade stuff.
What mags does it come with?
3x 16 round 9mm mags
BUL Armory SAS II Viper has the same features and its cheaper and lighter
But it only takes the shield optic & I not a fan. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
@@BigJohnsonGG the Holosun 407K actually fits nicely on it
Need one in 45 ACP
I had my old SS STI .45 custom upgraded, itâs on the channel if you want to check it out. Carry on
@@BigJohnsonGG alright man thank you
I just bought 2 of these a p and a c2 duo and selling my sig p320s.. also I will only run rmr on a save my families life gun. I don't trust China with our life. Buy the ultra low plate from c&h for the rmr
Iâve gone with the SRO. Carry on
@@BigJohnsonGG do you shoot this for range fun?
@@BigJohnsonGG ive witnessed the rmr go through hell and back. I think holoson has good products. I bought this x2 red dot over a vortex red dot for an offset for my AR and I like it. I just don't trust them yet but trust trijicon 100%
@@JohnSmith-ir5pv Both, Carry On
I have tested tons of different dots, including the RMR. You may want to check out my other vids. Carry on
C square
Just canât justify the cost at $2500 it better be perfect đ and once you add a RMR you are at 3k good video though..
Everyone has choices, Carry On
Itâs pricey for sure, that said I took the plunge with an RMR combo and plate included today! Only slightly terrified with how much I just spent.

20+ minutes is NOT short and sweet. Good review otherwise.
Glad you enjoyed it
I keep hearing in a defensive shooting, you will have your firearm taken from you for evidence.Which means you just wasted $2k on a carry gun.
Just stick to those $500 polymer Stryker fired guns.No love lost when that's taken away
Iâm not worried, I have others. Whatâs your life worth? Carry on
@@BigJohnsonGG almost all defensive shootings happen less then 5' and 3 seconds.Im guessing you think a heavy 9mm gives you an advantage over a polymer framed gun.You may want to practice your skills a bit more.1911s jam a lot as well.
Ill take my $500 pistol all day
This is a 2011 & weighs the same as a Glock 19. Educate yourself before spewing bullshit that you heard. I have been carrying a gun for over 20+ years.
If your cheap just admit it & donât hide behind it. Carry on
Someone is obviously butthurt they canât afford one đ€Ł
How many guns they take from you so far? ... me and everyone I know total up to 0. Not really gonna play the what-if game. Push comes to shove, thats what credit cards are for.

sick and tired of the whole optics bullshit!! give me holding any day (12 of them!)
