I totally support this. Biological women should not be forced to compete against trans women. No matter how much estagen they take, or what procedures they have, the advantage gained by growing up male before the change can not be overcome with our current technology. So like the guest said, until it is completely fair, it should not be allowed.

Transitioning is a choice. The fact that you feel compelled to transition in order to "live your authentic life" doesn't change the fact that it is a choice. And every choice in life is a tradeoff with pros and cons, benefits and consequences. One of the consequences if you choose to transition is that you disqualify yourself from competing against women in women's sports. No one has deprived you of any rights. You have chosen to disqualify yourself from this activity.
If this is too high a price, then have your athletic career first (as a man) and transition later. Millions of ordinary people do this exact thing every single day - deferring their life's dream, their "true passion", their "calling" - because it conflicts with other priorities or responsibilities. Our culture has become pathologically obsessed with the notion of "rights" but with no understanding of personal responsibility, choice, and consequences. No, you can't have it all. No one can. You must make choices.

I thank god that these people are smart enough not to do what you‘re doing and pretend as if „common sense“ was any guide here.
„Common sense“ is an appeal to your personal intuition. Which can literally be used to argue for a flat earth.

@@c.m.9369 : complete nonsense, you don't know what common sense is. In light of extremely simple evidence, a flat earth doesn't make sense. The ancient Greeks knew this... Common sense is about applying internal reasoning which works fine, it is actually the reasoning used in science too, and which is based on the known facts, not filtered by outside opinions, nor by manipulative statements nor strictly limited by rules which can be abused. This gets to the right stance in all cases except where specialist knowledge is required (e.g. a proof in mathematics).

Even the most precious right of all, the right to free speech, is not absolute. There are limits. When the rights of a small minority are elevated above the equally-valid rights of half the population, it is an injustice. Renee Richards, formerly Dr. Richard Raskind, underwent gender-reassignment and was then able, at age forty-four, to start a pro tennis career in the mid-1070s. Despite having no shot in men's tennis as a man, she reached number twenty in the world very quickly among the women. In her mid-forties. In the 70s. That just didn't happen in pro tennis back then. The unfairness of a player with male skeletal and muscle features competing against females was then and is now patently obvious. Reality must win out over ideology.

I disagree. I made a comment but it looks to be ghosted by youtube, I'll repost it here to see if it comes through: 5 years to get the sports bodies to look at scientific evidence? No! It wasn't the fault of esp. IAAF/World athletics, it was athletes starting law cases such as Dutee Chand, Caster Semenya in particular, and the in ane lawyers at CAS (Switzerland) who made standard genetic testing and a-priori classification as being an actual woman go away, and who forced IAAF/WA to let them compete with women! IAAF didn't want this nonsense, such scammer athletes (who know they are men, they walk, talk, dress like men) and the woke brigade wants it! The 2016 olympic final in the 800m was a farce, three men winning as 'women'. This was a further wake up call to the problem. The 46XY DSD athletes have a defect that shows externally being different from boys but they have internal testicles, i.e. they produce a lot of testosterone. You aren't allowed to inject testosterone as men nor as women, but if these are 'women' then it follows they are actually doing that with the internal testes. And CAS thought it was OK! Those people were the problem, and IAAF/WA has had to find a way to set a rule to get past these morans, along with more data to prove what everyone knows! I.e. that men are faster and stronger. This was just insanity! It applies exactly the same to transgenders because it is about men entering women's sports.

The reality is that it's bad for business. You have half of the world's population as female and female elite sports translates to big dollars and that filters down through to the amateur sports who purchase branded sports clothing and other sporting goods, purchased for all ages. We are talking a multi billion dollar industry and if you dilute that with a third gender, that weakens the branding and weakens the competition, because elite sports women would no longer have any incentive to be elite sports people. That means you would have fewer elite women sporting hero's and role models and that translates to a massive decline in sales. Who in their right mind is going to buy sportswear promoted by a third gender? Only an extreme minority would. It's not a mass market and never will be. It simply doesn't make economic sense to have third genders competing against elite female athletes, let alone the immorality of discriminating against half the human race. i.e. real females !!!

The reason we have women's sports, and weight categories in some women's and men's sports, is based on average performance. If you are a women with above average ability and commitment to training then you should have a chance of gaining a medal. Even if trans women are allowed the legal definition of "women", it's a fact that the vast majority of women are born women. It's not their problem to move the averages to "help" trans women take all the medals. This is the problem when the "most affected" people are denied their voice. All you get is new varieties of unfairness and disadvantage.

It's a comfort to see basic common sense prevail and women get a fair go. So much for inclusiveness. Let's make the infinitessimally small and (by and large mentally disturbed) trans community feel "included" by destroying the dreams of millions of actual women. My 9yo daughter once asked me whether she should give up her tennis and cross country training regime, which she loves. I asked her why and she said, in a resigned tone, that she'll never beat a boy wearing a dress.

Also what about transgender men who identify as a man even though they was born female and transitioned to male using testosterone whilst competing in sports with biological men?
I do agree with transwomen not being able to compete against cis biological women because of the biological disadvantage they have against the cis biological women and do believe they need a transwomen catagory so they can compete with eachother.
But at the end of the day all the complains are about transwomen but none about transmen and I think we should atleast let the transmen stay since they are disadvantaged against all the cis biological men in sport yet still try their best without complaining.

And yet we've never heard a f to m trans man ever complain about not being allowed to compete in men's sports. Hmmm... I wonder why?

You'll find them if you look. They don't get as much attention because people can't recycle the bone density and testosterone arguments from the Civil Rights days.
I specifically remember a story about a Trans man in high school who was forced to compete in women's wrestling, and because of his testosterone levels giving him more musculature, he dominated, and then he was treated like the villain for what his school and state decided for him

I don't hear any Trans-men complaining. Only men who transitioned into women with natural physical advantages and a patriarchal desire to put women in their place.

This isn't a step back. Naturally born women should be able to compete on level terms.

Those athletes who as a man go into women's sports are scammers. The idiots at CAS made these problems possible to continue. You can transition all you want just don't compete in women's sports. Anyone talking about human rights for such people needs his head examined.

Good. Being trans is all fine ,your choice. You just go and if you are biological male compete with males.

They haven't banned trans athletes. They've stopped MEN playing in the women's category. These MEN can play in the men's category because they're men.
