  • @jackthisout9480

He disguised his and his kid's selfishness as compassion: his daughter needs to be able to compete against bio-females and he doesn't care how that would negatively affect bio-females. I understand you want your kid to be the most important to you, but you can't just walk all over the other dads that want to protect their daughters. Fake arguments about a bio-male not being stronger than bio-females is completely false. You can cry all you want that she is having hormones and such; that does NOT cancel the effects of being born male. Testosterone levels are still higher than other girls, bone structures is still stronger, muscles are bigger, etc, etc, etc. Feeling trans does NOT give you a different body.
You can't have it all in life, that should be the message of this dad to his kid. Of course the comment section is filled with awe for this story, but the truth of the matter is that you can't allow bio-males to ruin women's sports. And so the hate will come my way. Facts hurt.

Look up the young girls in Connecticut who could never beat the two boys that ran against them. I agree w co-ed sports I think we should have had that from the beginning. That allows those who choose to compete w a "general" team the ability to do so. I knew many females who wanted to play on boys baseball because they only offer fast pitch to girls w a larger ball and I must pitch it underhanded so girls who wanted to play true actual baseball weren't allowed. And the girls who wanted to play football also weren't allowed though in the rare cases they were permitted to apparently did very well. By having a team that's open to everyone it also opens up a place for boys especially who may not meet the physical requirements for their varsity teams but won't miss out on playing. It def should be done.

You can be and do whatever you would like and what makes you happy, but when it comes to students athletics; you play on the team of the sex you were born as. It is unfair to the natural girls or boys to have to compete and ultimately lose scholarships to transgender athletes. If you are born a male, you compete as a male. Nobody told his daughter how to dress, or who she can associate with. This is a fair law that will keep the playing field fair. "The needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few". This guy is being selfish and naive. The only thing that his kid is not allowed to do is cheat in regards to sporting events.. Sorry, your son had the freedom to make his choice on how he wants to live. As a parent, he allowed it, and as a society we are forced to accept it, however his child has to understand that it is just not fair, and if the child wants to compete in sports; it will have to be against people of the same sex as his child. Own it, and stop with this liberal BS already. It is ruining our society. Our country is going down the drain on a very fast track.

Letting them be who they are is one thing, but when it comes to sports this isn't fair to biological girls. Your daughter should be free to dress and act how she wants, but when she's growing up with male biology, it doesn't make sense to have them on the same sports teams.
This story is emotional and compelling, but ultimately not fair to natal girls who want advancement in sports. High school natal boys are not only above high school girls, but above the vast majority of Women's Olympic Records. It's just not fair, or sensible, to hold identity over biology. I'm not saying identity doesn't matter. In most cases accommodating it is simple, but not in physical M vs. F competitions.

    • @XxcheshirecatxX
      @XxcheshirecatxX Před 3 lety +1

@Kleek Vishon there's actually plenty of proof. A transwoman is just a male that identifies female. There is nothing biologically special or unmale about them. So go look at Male vs. Female records. High school males generally beat the best scores of Olympic women. There are many cases and studies where this has been a problem and 0 I've seen that prove otherwise.
In Connecticut, they let two male transgender teens race with natal girls and they took 1st and 2nd in 15 races previously fought for by 9 different biological girls.
High schoolers in particular compete for scholarships and the natal girls score below Women, and even the best of Women often score below biological boys--like highschool boys.
A male believing he is female does not biologically dampen his body. I'm ok with most of trans rights for adults, but women's sports and transitioning young children is questionable.

Zero. Trans women very, very rarely outperform other women in sports. They tend to perform just as well as other women. Sure, there are statistical outliers - and, usually it's when trans women haven't been on estrogen for a year or longer - Estrogen, after a year of use, tends to even out their bodies, redistributes fat and muscle to literally turn their bodies into a female body - a body to match what their brain says they are.

For instance based on height, weight, capacity, capabilities, instead of splitting based on whether or not a person was born with a penis. I know tall, muscular pupils who preform equally well, despite being of opposite genders.

When sports are separated as boys/girls, it's based on physical sex, not gender.
The law is not just about his "daughter". It is about everyone else's female daughters. He allowed his male child to dress how they wish. Fine. But competitive female sports is not about whether or not a child prefers dresses & long hair. As a dad u were forced to learn something about your child. Now it is time your child learns something. Gender & sex are usually in agreement. But not always. & while a person can choose a hairstyle or clothes or change their name, pronouns, or take drugs & even mutilate their bodies with surgeries, you can't change your dna or the sex it determines.
I hope 1 day his male child learns to accept & embrace their body, & doesnt turn to dangerous drugs that cause sterility or harmful surgeries.

I'm surprised as a lawyer he is not able to take a step back and see the other athletes that his child will be competing against. 1st- Cross Country, only 7 players are varsity the rest are JV. I would estimate most transgender's would take a slot from an actual female and make the varsity squate their freshman year. Which really means the one transgender boy could potentially be taking the spots of 3-4 different girls over a four year period. Track, any relay team would that a transgender competes in would likely again be varsity their freshmen year. Again taking the spots of real girls over the entire four year period.
What about Girls softball and soccer. For soccer it could almost be dangerous. I would not want my freshman boy competing with senior boys as it could physically be dangerous. Now you take a transgender Senior competing against all girls.
I know in most cases transgender boys will be taking medicine to reduce testosterone and in most cases will have a body type closer to a woman than a man. But I also know there are going to be some highly athletic ones as well.

To eliminate this confusion, why not just make the categories for sports “male” and “female” the biological terms, and allow everyone to participate in their appropriate category. Sports is for everyone. Your category need not be defined by whether you wear a dress and put on lipstick, or wear flannel.

Actually depends on the age of when the child began puberty blockers. Since what generally gives a male a physical advantage over a female is puberty, if they are on hormone blockers before the brunt of puberty can kick in then they will proceed through female puberty and have no physical advantage in sports.

You mean Fallon Fox, the woman who started fighting after transitioning in 2006? You mean Fallon Fox who had a record of 5-1. All of her wins were against fighters who were already pretty bad. (The records are as follows (Not necessarily in order): 0-2, 0-4, 2-8, 4-4, 2-4). You mean Fallof Fox, who lost to a cis woman -- Ashlee Evans Smith who actually got into the UFC (None of the other fighters did BTW). As for the Orbital Bone thing? I would suggest that we start having an *adult* conversation about this topic because numerous actual real lives are at stake. I know that the topic and the lives of the stakeholders aren't being taken seriously when advocates on _either_ side frame their discussion around why the compassionate thing to do is to be compassionate to one group/individual without regard any full & serious treatment to the negative effects _en masse_ on other groups. Case in point, this father on the "let transgender cross into what was historically exclusively female sports" is asking for compassion while himself not taking compassion seriously at all; he should be blown off, not lauded. Why? When you apply critical thinking to what , this "great father," that so many are lauding in the comments, is essentially asking for is .... compassion for my "daughter" at the expense of compassion for your _daughters_ basically: ⚥ > ♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀
