Get better obs
The keyboard broke that day, so it was difficult to show the observer screen properly. Fortunately, I purchased a new keyboard and will be able to see a better observer screen in future VODs.
Didn't you have the same issue two months ago?

@@GrandBenja Yes, I took the repair service, but the same problem kept happening so I bought a new keyboard.
The real problem is that if you buy a new keyboard, there will be no problem for a while, but after a while, similar symptoms will occur. It's very strange.

What's the issue exactly? Is it an external keyboard, or a laptop internal one?

Nyoken is such a beast of a caster

Nada made a living off of the threat of 2fac. His main opener was FD which only works because his opponent had to take the possibility of 2fac seriously or die to it.
Very good commentary from Nyoken. Would love to see Nyoken co-cast these with Voddie, Gypsy or maybe even someone like Eonzerg.
Between how good the quality of nyocasting has gotten over the years, and the amount of thrown/clown games we get in ASL these past couple seasons-SCSL is just the superior choice altogether anymore IMO.
The sound from your cast is messed up at the start of every game. It is strange. Not just in this video. Eventually it goes back to normal.

Are you using a wireless mic? It drops out from time to time
I got a new microphone and there seems to have been some sort of issue with it in these casts. My microphone plug wasn't plugged in correctly, some voice settings were also changed, but it should be fixed for future casts. (I mention some of the settings I changed in one of these casts, can't remember which one though)

Hi, just started watching this series. Beside the obvious initial sound issue, the sfx/game sounds are intruding over our lovely caster voice imo. ;)
Otherwise, can't get much better than this with SC:BW, the nyo and top-tier players!

Notice how Snow in all his games vs Terran even if he can't break them with Reavers, always overexpands and keeps the Terran contained as much as possible, while always threatening Carriers (remember his +2 to 3 attack Arbiters with 6 Stargates already built?)!!! This is how it was done back in the day and how 18y ago I was never losing to Terran as a Protoss! You have an unfair advantage of being able to mine at least twice as much resources and all you need from there is to not make super bad trades and the Terran simply can't keep up! But it isn't flashy and will often make for 30 minute games, and that's why most pros try to come up with alternative VASTLY INFERIOR strategies that will make for more exciting games because they get paid based on how many people will watch the tournament...

At 20:20 you mention the percentage thing. I think actually it equates to 4.16% more mined.
If the map is split in half. 100% of each players resources are contained within 6 bases. If Mighty was to mine 25% of top left, you're looking at one quarter of 16.6% (6 bases) = 4.16% of Rush's resources lost. Rushes resources are 50% of the map and 4.16% of 50% = 2.08%.
Mighty would've mined 52.08% of the map, Rush 47.92% of the map for a 4.16% difference.
Another way to look at it is 25% of 1 twelfth (12 bases) = 2.08% of the total maps resources.
Edit: It would be interesting to find out how much minerals / gas 2.08% of the maps total resources is. What Rush would've lost out on and what Mighty would've gained in this scenario.
Yes of course if the entire map gets mined out the math isn't as I mentioned. Just tried to highlight the loss of resources can be a considerable (for 1 base) even if it's just a small percentage
@@nyoken Yes. The past is the past. If both players are fighting over 1 remaining base it doesn't matter what was mined in the past unless it is still banked / units alive. In this case yeah you were right it would be a 50% difference.

You should try to get a better observer for next groups.
To enjoy a good Starcraft game, you need good casters (Nyoken is doing the job just fine), but also good observers. Here, the observer seems to be sleeping / doing something else most of the time. We keep missing key details, key engagements, crucial game-state information… It's hard to appreciate the game like this.
Observers are really important in a Starcraft cast, maybe even more than the casters.
Last season must have been the same observer. Really bad. They should definitely find somebody better.
It was a problem last season too. You need to replace whoever is doing obs
If the goon count is below 4 and you're pushing shouldn't you lead with the tanks? The goons take so many free pot shots on early game pushes seems like you should let them tank and chip the goons then repair as you get to the natural. Instead the marines take a ton of free damage and peter out quickly.

Whatever happened to that Ivory guy that made it into ASL 16? I've never seen him before or since. He cheat to get in or what?
I think it was said he was rank1 ladder and like 2 other accounts in top10
He grinded like mad, lost early in asl, maybe he's doing his military service now or just grinding less

Worst observing I have ever seen.
I try not to be too negative but this observer is terrible! Is he drunk or something!
