Wow, really informative. Great way to manage the resource. Can you tell me what caliber is best, and how long is the average shot.

The bullet entry was slightly back (towards the middle of the body) due to the angle of shot. You can just see the bullet’s exit point near the shoulder (Vince is inspecting it) at 9:43. Note the deer’s reaction too. Classic behaviour for a shot to the “engine room”.

I have stalked on Fordie Estate for hinds, it is an excellent experience. Costs are not wild and easily affordable. If you wish to shoot a stag, then of course you must be prepared to pay the going rate. The experience alone is worth the cost.

So can I go deer stalking on my own on public land? Rather then having to be guided at an expensive estate? This is not really specified anywhere I've looked. Could somebody elaborate?

Really sad how little tree cover there is, heartbreaking to be honest. So important for humans to try and keep their numbers down after we killed off all the apex predators. Good stuff guys, keep it up

This is really bad country. The people say that there is very good wildlife, but the truth is that the most of national parks or all the wildlife is farmland. I think there are only 300 deer are there in Scotland . You like to see them roaming in the wild and all ministers or social media are doing very bad job. I really hate hunting and what about Paul lister , he always says he will bring back the lost wildlife ,this is really bloody
