Wow a very powerful response to that question. Thank you so much for taking time to answer. It means a lot to me my friend!!
The hobby helps me forget about my health issue. I’m probably one of the world’s most cheerful stage 4 colorectal cancer patients you’ll ever meet.
I hear you! It helps me forget my stage 4 kidney cancer also ,.., I’m too jovial to let it get me down!.. keep fighting!
Well said. This is my escape from the stresses of life as well!
👍
Frank, thanks for sharing. It’s really a great topic. Takes some bravery to put out a video about it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your candor Frank, your humanity speaks for itself.
This hobby has helped me through many of lifes hard knocks & it continues to do so. I too have Frizzo's back.
Thank you Rick!
Thanks for sharing your story with us Frank. With everything that's going on in the world today, the hobby is my way to escape, disconnect from the world and recharge my batteries even if it's only for an hour or so a day.
Well said my friend!
Excellent video. Very important subject that's hard to talk about. Well said. Well done. Thank you.
Frank the next 3 yrs will pass quickly; I've been retired almost two. And building again has helped with being bored. You have found a calling on the way you teach it's much appreciated!!! Thank you!!!
It’s amazing how so many of us have very similar issues. I have PTSD, depression and I live with chronic pain from peripheral neuropathy. I’ve considered starting a CZcams channel but some of my issues involve low self worth so I don’t have much to lend to the community. At least I can set down at my model desk and escape the world and myself for a little while.
Well said response to the community question. Model building means a lot of different things to different people. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this video Frank. Why is it that men aren't supposed to be open. Modeling for me is a way stay busy so i dont drink so much. I was reluctant to be honest in a video. Maybe I should make a video and say it out loud.
Thanks again
Awesome! I have a few more years before I can retire. I've known guys who have gone back to work after retiring. I ask them why. "I got bored." is always the answer. I ask, "Don't you have a hobby?" I have several hobbies (My ex would say that I have too many!). I will NEVER get bored!
Great answer to an important question! For me, when I was forced to retire from a hand surgery gone wrong, it helped with my struggle due to having to accept that my career was over. Also helped to gain some of my motor skills back. It’s like being in your own world with a feeling of having peace inside of you, that’s hard to explain. Thank you for opening up Frank, I appreciate your honesty!! Keep going you’re doing one hell of a job!
We have this in Aussie land called are you ok... men's health..model building helps me in lots of ways and any sort of hobby helps...brain health is very important guys..cheers and thanks for sharing Frank... happy model building
Well said, my friend. God bless.
I see a lot of similarities between us, and my escapism has always been my models, and a few full scale cars. It’s a good community to be a part of. I’ve been watching model building videos for a few years now, and it’s been really good to see how many more people are involved in this hobby. You’re never alone.
❤
Thanks for this video I'm 78 and have recently returned to building again
Having been diagnosed with PTSD myself due to childhood issues with my father and then service in Vietnam as a Corpsman with the Marines..I have enjoyed your videos and have learned much .this is a great hobby thanks for sharing.
Well Said Frank glad your around marra . Regards Gav.
thank you for sharing Frank. I'm 57 now and model building has been a part of my life since I was about 8years old. I grew up a USAF brat and moved almost every year until my teens. I remember my youth by where we were for each grade. my dad introduced me to it but I built until I had my son at age of 32. then building took a back seat as I was very involved in his growing up. anyhow building was always a part of me and has returned when he moved out to join the army. now it's my escapism as well since my MS diagnosis 5 years ago. It helps me forget for a while when I get to sit down with my models. take care and wish you all the best. you've got a great channel going!
Great response Frank! Thank you for sharing 👍
Well our youtube friend thanks for sharing. Your doing great stuff here. Enjoy your words, tips and builds 😊. Andrew and I (luis) also have Frizzos back ✌️
Great video frank. Its a good thing you can talk about these issues. For me the hobby is all about exercising my mind. I have a restless mind. Its always active and i need projects to keep me mentally stimulated. Its also been a great help to me at work. Solving probelms and creating solutions to kit issues helps me keep problem solving skills sharp. This translates to my job where i have to solve problems.
Found your video very sincere. You are a substantial individual and very giving of yourself We all model because we love it and gives a sense of artistic expression aside from having a collection of car at a fraction of the cost. A real connection with your videos. Thanks for the effort
I go to sleep thinking of what next needs to be done with currant kit on bench at time........Then I Can't sleep,Lol
Sometimes me too. Imagine seeing another Gloo Trooper on a modeling channel.
Kudukilla, Hey
Thank you Frank
Frank, thanks for opening up and sharing your thoughts. I can relate to some of your issues and I admire your bravery in making this video. “We’re men, and we aren’t supposed to talk about our feelings “ That’s one social stigma that needs to go away.
Frank great video and I feel model building is great therapy
Great talk, Frank👍
Frank, you're awesome! Thank you for what you do for each of us who watch! 👏
Great response Frank.
Be well my friend take care of yourself.
Great response Frank ✌️
So very well said my friend! I was surprised when you said you didn't what else to say, and I mean that in a really good way. It means, to me at least, that you stated what you meant to say and to say anymore would be wasted breath. Awesome video.
Great video friend.
By the way love your videos. Your first person I seen from new york. You ever been to B&H photo.? Also you eat hot dogs from New York carts with red onions?
I’ve never been to B&H Photo, but I have certainly eaten my share of dirty water dogs “mustard and onions”. Never sauerkraut.
Pro tip: always ask for a total and then take out your money. If you’re holding a twenty, the vendor will tell you it’s 16. Take the twenty, add it to a BRICK of bills, and tell you he doesn’t have change. The closer you are to a tourist attraction, the more likely it is to happen.
Great response Frank.
