    Moving forward from the labor i would like to know your intake on after the baby is

      Aside from using a towel to wipe them down to remove any blood, it’s best to leave the vernix and rub it into their skin/allow it to dissolve on its own. It helps to boost & protect their immune system, among many other benefits. Babies’ skin is very sensitive, so I’ve always postponed their first official bath 7 days or more

    Wanna do this so bad, but my family will think I’m crazy ☹️ & just wants me to have a hospital birth especially since they feel like I’m not educated enough for a water birth un assisted

      A happy medium would be to look into birthing centers (which still allow a dr to be present) or looking to a midwife who offers water births whether at home or in the hospital. We went that route with our very first birth, although our plans ended up changing when our daughter came early. If you aren’t considered “high risk” then either of those are great options to consider.

      This is the response I get and I don’t care. It’s my second baby and I did my first unmedicated in the hospital. I’m staying home and nobody can stop me lll

    Thank you for sharing! What do you think of the puzzle pieces on the bottom of the tub? My knees and bottom was so uncomfortable in our last birth. I used a pillow but the puzzle pieces may help.

      I actually used the kid foam puzzle pieces under my tub and I think we did a couple of comforters on top of that, covered by a plastic drip cloth to keep everything from getting wet. I definitely recommend! It added great padding underneath

    Thank you for such an informative video!
    You mentioned a few different essential oils and the orange oil for contractions? Was it good for reducing the pain, helping to speed them up or what part about contractions exactly? Also, what is the lavender good for?

    • @WomanOfTheWomb
      @WomanOfTheWomb  Před rokem +1

      You’re very welcome! I would just wave the bottle of essential oils under my nose (well, I had my husband do it). Orange essential oil gives a good boost of energy towards the end, and lavender is good for rest and relaxation and calming the nerves/any anxiety. For me, it would also just help to calm the intensity of some of the more difficult contractions. In a way, it kinda gave my brain a quick “jolt” to not focus on the contraction as much. I’m not sure if that makes any sense at all
