You scroll brush guys make it look so smooth. I’m a sword brush guy but this looks like the way to go if I could just figure it out. The paint consistency advice is handy

Michael you can get some off of the Steve Kafka website or buy in bulk off of SBK bottles.. I think that's the name of the place.
just remember it has to be PET plastic and make sure to keep the lids clean so they snap closed well.
HDPE Is not ok?
@@helshome8423 I don't think so. The paint dries up in anything other than PET or PETE plastic

What do you normally use to paint on ?
I like to practice on glass frames that you can buy from Walmart. I actually have a video on the subject called pinstriping practice panels. But besides that I'll pinstripe anything from a skull to a purse to a flask to sunglasses and ultimately cars and motorcycles.
where can i get the bottles for the paint? i keep mine in the one shot container but after a While the paint is broken. got some nice tips of this video thanks
You can keep using 1shot containers by trying out these tips. Open the lid and add a couple of marbles and close it tight. Like, real tight. Punch a hole on the lid's corner and put a screw on it. That's it ! Give it a thorough shake once in a couple of weeks so the marbles keep the paint how it suppose to be and the screw acts as a airtight lid!

I absolutely hate the cans once they are open. No matter how hard i try to shut them, they alays pop up with a giant layer of dried paint on the top. Is there not one single plastic container with a lit we can use to make a direct pour, once bought? Oh and one good tip i've learned. Don't take more paint if it shows up too thin. Instead whipe of the brush..

I don't know the difference sir. I've never used "paint thinner".. I have heard people use "Pure Gum Turpentine" if you can't find mineral spirits. This is something I heard. Not first hand experience.

@@atmsdad54 Glass is great actually. Everything is going to feel wrong in the beginning. I practiced on glass quite a bit because it's reusable once the paint dries you can scrape it off with a razor and reuse it.. but if you do have access to something that is painted with automotive paint and that is probably your best bet

Tytus Jones Just gotta do it bro. Fortunately for me I've been obsessed with it since I started so practicing was never a chore. I didn't have any mentors here, just youtube and Facebook groups.
I'm not sure I want info from you.I do give you credit for trying but you don't mention anything about surface prep,and if you did well I missed it.I was distracted by all the dust on your board your painting on.I wonder what kind of a line you can pull if it was clean...
The only purpose of this video was focused on paint consistency. I understand the importance of a clean surface, I just wasn't focused on that aspect for this video.

Hello Steve,I didn't see the holder your talking about.I had bought a lot of the products you use and even spoke to you on the phone a couple times.I have huge respect for you and all you do and the books you wrote.I wish I could do 1/10th of what you do,that would make me happy,but it's hard being disabled but I still try and will till I'm happy with what I turn out.I know I commented on this video for surface prep,Because I think I listen pretty good to what you say has to be done.I didn't intend to offend anybody just point out a clean surface gives the best results.
