Vitamin B3 (also called Niacin) is an essential, water-soluble vitamin that is required for several important biological processes including nutrient metabolism and fatty acid synthesis. A vitamin B3 deficiency (which is also called Pellagra) can cause the condition known as pellagra and can cause a wide variety of gastrointestinal, dermatological and psychiatric symptoms, which we discuss in this lesson.

Comprehensive. Thank you!
Thank you for this very helpful video
Wonderful video thank you 🙇❤️
I take both Nicotinic acid & Niacinamide. Both work for different therapeutic applications. As niacin is methyl group acceptor, i balance it with methylators as well.
Thank you sir
Hi Wael Fadlallah. You're very welcome! :)
The voice is so soothing 😌
Odd comment
Thoughtful comment.
Also research has shown a link between niacin deficiency and glaucoma. I have advanced glaucoma and have just started taking Niacinamide (a different type of niacine) to see if that helps to stop the glaucoma from progressing.
Has it helped?
How are u now? Hope u are fine
@@ArsHaD-dg1gb I take the Niacinamide every day and so far no side effects. I don't know if its helping my vision or not. I'm only taking 500mg per day as recommended.

Has it helped?
What if some of those stated symptoms present at the time of ingestion of a niacin supplement where they may not have appeared to have been, so as to seem to cause the symptoms rather than to alleviate? I've had slight headaches with it as well as some gastrointestinal inflammation in addition to a slight sense of panic.
These symptoms can turn on while taking niacin. If they turn on at 100 mg for example then you take the same dosage the next day day and they should disappear. If not then one more day of the same dosage.headaches while taking niacin is normal because it makes more blood flow starting in the head.
It can also cause visual and auditory hallucinations. That would fit into the delusions/confusion.
Are there other muscle symptoms in niacin deficiency: cramping, twitching?
Yes

careful with niacin supplements! Took them for years til I found out how they are made
How they are made ?
Not a helpful statement without context 😞
Chemically it might be considered niacin. Atomically, perhaps not so much. For those of you 2 percenters out there.
Are they made of 💩
@@davidblaske6911 so for the 98% of us idiots, what's your point 🤔
Too much talk , get to the point .
That what I was going to say.
