I was 8 when my friend opened my eyes to the world of professional sports. The Jets had just won SB3 and the Mets were champions. 1969. I became a huge Jets/Namath fan and also Mets, Knicks and Rangers (Islanders didn’t exist yet). At 62 I have serious doubt that I’ll ever see the Jets in another SB.
Joe is a true gem. I'm not even a Jets fan, but I tune in just to hear him every week.

I’ve been watching NFL for almost 45 years. Not a fan of either team here but Joe saying the Raiders get preferential treatment by the refs? What?!?! I’d say it’s quite the opposite. Especially in those Al Davis vs Pete Rozelle days.

Not that I go by passer rating in general, but that seems to be the sole argument for White. more yards, but more passes. Higher completion percentage but less yards per attempt. More interceptions. Fewer touchdowns. Worse record. Playing a team like the Bears right after they traded away their defensive stars was like catching lightning in a bottle: a team gets a layup like that maybe once or twice a decade. And that was his sole win. Seemed like a nice guy though.
At the time you could do things with him that you couldn't with Wilson, like make a lot of short yardage throws, but Wilson's inability to throw short consistently was cured in the offseason.

Hey Jets Fans I know as a Raiders fan, we stink. Problem for all of you when you keep saying that is:
a) we played a seventh round rookie at QB. You have a third year second pick overall.
b) we have an interim HC who is on his second game as HC. You have Salah from the Superbowl runner up 9ers!.
c) we have Crosby. You, supposedly have one of the best defenses in the NFL.
In conclusion the Raiders may well stink but what are you smelling like right now?
Bad winners are the WORST.
I'll make it simple for you: penalties took away a touchdown from the Jets and gave one to the Raiders. It's not about the QB, or the defense, or anything else. Your interim HC may well be better than Saleh though.
It's the same thing we (Jet fans) heard when the Jets beat Buffalo and Philadelphia. Those teams made mistakes and that's why the Jets won. In this case it's just to pile on how bad the Jets are by saying they lost to a team with problems that they should have beaten. I wouldn't say it has anything to do with the Raiders as negativity is pervasive when it comes to the Jets, from both within and without. So that's what it smells like. It always smells this way.
One last thing watching Jacob's BBQ 'Sauce' was just freaking Awesome.

I agree, the loss to the Raiders was not on Zach, he was better but still not going to win games with one touchdown in 7 games. The Jets are playing hero ball. They have to prove they are as great as Saleh tells everyone. I also agree that Saleh is too nice. There is no excuse for all the penalties the Jets had in this game. Saleh is like your buddy camp counselor, not effective.

The best thing i ever did is not being a Jets fan. I"m a Chiefs fan. The Chiefs was terrible for years...we didn't win a playoff game in 20 plus years. To bad i'm a Mets fan tho.

Joe is 100% right. Jets are going to come back and we're going to watch the Giants draft the stud QB we have always wanted. Just because it's the Jets I'm worried Rodgers comes back and won't be the same QB he was with Packers. Honestly that was my biggest fear coming into this year, I wasn't worried about injury this year but the Jets just always surprise me every year in how they lose.

Cook was running with a fury and they didn't harness that. Why keep Uzomah in when they have Ruckert? Zack's interception was because of a lazy route by Lazard. Penalties. The hail Mary was an insane pass that was catchable by two receivers
Nobody talked about this, especially the Cook part. He was running hard and effectively but only touched the ball 4 times!!! I feel like fans are really starting to question this coaching staff

Joe, I'm 66 and I have a 97 year old uncle and cousin your age. My uncle had season tickets going back to the TITANS and Shea days. The Jets will go nowhere untill they hire and PAY a professional coaching staff.
You can’t convince me the refs don’t hold a grudge against Saleh for showing up one of their guys at the end of the Chiefs game. Ever since then it seems we can’t go one drive without a flag against us. Team needs to be better but the games are not called equally.

Last year he didn't get consistent QB play and he pulled the plug too late. Time for him to bench under performers and give someone else a shot...QB, need a true WR2, need consistent OLine play. More Breece and add some Izzy. 8 games to go 6-2 and pray they get in as a wild card team.

Breece averages 3.2 yards per carry over the past 4 games. He couldn't move against the Giants, couldn't move against Eagles, couldn't move against the CHARGERS, and couldn't move against the Raiders.
He can't move unless he's thrown past the defensive line, which is a bunch of the pass attempts. Do you think Breece shouldn't get the ball at all? Because running him isn't working.

I have no connection to New York nor New Yorkers but back in the mid 90’s I start listen to Imus and ever since I’m hooked to all these radio personalities and it’s fans specially the WFAN660 I love how New Yorkers and Philly fans are so passionate about their team’s baseball football hockey etc. I relate to them how passionate they are about something that they are not afraid to display emotions and rage when things don’t go our way. LoL 😂 😂
