@rodgachelin5998 I’ve been a Jets fan since 1965 and I feel the same for both Joe and myself. We’re both lifelong Jets fans who are running out of time. We’re in the fourth quarter of life with the clock running, and still no Super Bowl in sight. OUCH! Now we have to live down the FAIL MARY.
BTW Saleh now has his spot in history alongside Kotite and Gase as the third worst coach in Jets history. Just look at the numbers. The numbers don’t lie.

I’ve spent as much money, in fact probably more, over the years on Jets tickets, merchandise, and now NFL Sunday Ticket subscriptions, as I spent on my son’s College Education. Geez, enough is enough. WTF more do they expect from a fan base?

I was at the game on Friday with two of my kids. And this one finally broke me. Just before halftime, the Jets get the pick six TD off of Tua ... then pick him off again with 2 seconds left in the half ... only to have Boyle do the Hail Mary attempt. Only the Jets can create plays that NO ONE ELSE IN THE NFL has ever done. That's 3 on Thanksgiving weekend alone that I can think of! The Marino Fake Spike game was 11/27/94. The Sanchez Butt Fumble was 11/22/12. And now the Fail Mary on 11/24/23. I regret causing my children a lifetime of pain by making them Jets fans.

I'm with you! I grew up in NJ now live in Mass. but my kids wore #6 Sanchez jerseys while growing up all the time their friends wear #12 Brady jersey... I've failed as a father!
I hear u man. When my son was born 15 years ago I got him some Jets baby stuff but as he grew I knew I cldnt ruin his life. So I let him pick his team. He's a cowboys fan! Ouch

@@danieljadorie829 It's not based on geography. It used to be more so - maybe about 3 decades ago - the Jets used to play at Shea Stadium (where the NY Mets played baseball) for many decades. So, traditionally Long Island was home to many Jets fans. But they moved to New Jersey to share the same stadium as the Giants in 1984. The two fanbases largely overlap each other. Usually, fans seem to go Jets + Mets ... or Giants + Yankees, but this isn't true for everyone.
Joe Benigno is actually 30 years old. He just looks 70 because the Jets have sucked the life out of him.

You know back in the day, when they weren't gazillionaires so out of touch with the common man, you had local boys playing with some skin in the game. Today, it seems like a club of celebrities. You see the players joking and laughing and playing with each other before and after the games. I don't feel any emotion to these games anymore

I'm 53 yrs old. I've been watching this team lose since I was 11yrs old. I never saw the Super Bowl win. I've witnessed nothing but disappointment. Come into every season hoping every year that we will be good. NEVER EVER has it happened.

I was born into this in 1972. 51 years. I didn’t allow myself to feed into the Rodgers hype. I’ve seen too much. I told my son the day we played the Bills we just have to pray he stays healthy. After he went down my son and husband said you knew. Sad life loving this team. I’m the 3rd generation and my children the fourth.
I feel ya man. I'm about the same age, but I'm a Vikings fan. In other words, same sh@$ different flavor. I've seen my team (as I'm sure you have as well) lose big games in ways I never knew existed.

Joe Beningo's seat at wherever he sat to do his show at WFAN should be sent to the Smithsonian where they have the dress Jackie O was wearing in Dallas, Archie Bunker's chair, the flag that flew over Baltimore Harbor during the War of 1812, which inspired the National Anthem. The Smithsonian could make it an interactive exhibit where visitors press a "listen" button and hear one of these treasured rants at random! They might need some counseling afterwards though but it will be a real authentic experience.😆

As an outsider looking in, this is all on the GM. Starting the season without a legitimate Back up QB, WR2 and O-Line was a brutal mistake.

McCarthy hasn't won anything in Dallas yet, they lose in the playoffs. He is also just as unimaginative as Hackett is.
This is the kind of radio I miss. No sexual references or innuendos that fills these other sports programs today, no politics, no entertainment, just pure sports. This is all I ask for when listening to sports talk. Sports. Joe B is a national treasure and embodies how all of us as Jets fans feel. We are sick and tired of this. Fans always care more than the players to. Always the case.
The other issue us Rodgers is the GM. He's making the calls because no one in Florham Park has the Championship or any kind of good fortune that Rodgers has. Same Organization that listened to Peyton Manning to hire Gase. They tend to value the QB ideas very highly so we should not be surprised.
The GM gets to hide and not answer for why they never addressed the backup QB situation the second Rodgers went down.
I do blame the Jets fans for continuing to go to these games at home. You cannot affect change until you impact the pockets.
If you stop going to the games and allow them to be filled with the opposing team and not go until the GM & Owner come and open themselves up for questions about this season, nothing is changing.
You stay outside the stadium, don't go in. You clamor and you clamor until at some point, the owner has to address it. GM has to address it. Everyone has a tipping point and no season ticket owners have exercised that.
Why? I don't know. It's time for the GM & Owner & HC to address the fans/media for questions and answer those tough questions.
And only allow the Joe B's/Ira from Staten Islands of the world to ask those questions that only they can ask.
This nonsense will only continue if we let it. Plain and simple.

Here and there, not as much as during baseball season though but wfan does have a good amount of coverage about baseball during the off-season, I am a big met fan and a casual knick fan so me and Joe B are on the same page with that, I can listen to Joe B talk about anything though, the guy was born to do radio

Thank God I grew up a Pats fan with Grogan as QB. I grew up in Eastern CT where the dividing line is. Red Sox/Yankees Patriots/Giants or Jets. I could have gone either way with family members, friends, etc. all divided. I remember some bad Patriot teams but I never had to go through what Jets fans have gone through. Hell, I got to watch 2 Patriot Super Bowls before Brady ever got drafted. If going through this year as a Pats fan is what the Jet fans have gone through every 3 or 4 years for decades I don't think I would have been an NFL fan for long.
At this point with the exception of 2015 it's been a dozen straight years of this shit. And while 2015 was a competent year, we still got kicked in the nuts when the Jets blew a playoff berth in Buffalo on the final weekend. Brutally inept offensive football in an era where offense is what the league wants.
Absentee ownership that has this team playing in a location far away from the core fan base in a sterile environment on a horrible field. No one worth his salt would want to coach here. Plus they're contractually obligated to have a helmet that says "Jets" with a football. They cannot and will not deviate from that. Lack of vision at every level. Other than that it's great.
