This is the FIRST time I've seen anyone use Dayton's new flat Res-Core woofers! They look "Tang-Band-esque" to me and that's not a bad thing. Your use as slim desktop speakers seems like a good fit for their size. I'm looking forward to see what they can do once properly DSP'd. Yahoo! Building some speakers!!!

I can bet that shop smelled amazing with the cedar going through the laser .. Awesome stuff.! ..
... If I were going to make / share an Idea for V2 .... make the baffle a standard ply finish ..and then cut a baffle / hardware cover for the outer layer... It'll cover the flange for the drivers .. and could be fitted with some embedder magnets. ( maybe even with a nice curved front ) =)

Funny story, I was actually going to do a nice large round over but I didn’t account for it when I connected the top to the base. They’re just isn’t enough room for the bearing to ride. Though, I didn’t have to worry about the smell as the laser has exhaust that goes outside. One of the nice features of that laser.

Could have been a fun opportunity to try some of Tectonic's smaller BMR drivers. I have wanted to try them so many times, but they're just too low in sensitivity for many woofers to be a good match for them, but the Dayton's are also crazy low sensitivity, so it could work for once. Nice build though. They look like little torpedoes haha

Treble? All frequencies with a wavelength shorter than the speaker, you get directional sound . You have to sit directly in front of the speaker to get full frequency sound. You don't have to move much before the brighter treble disappears.
Having treble out of a midrange/basd is not so wise!
      Doesn't help with DSP.

@@ford1546 the BMR is not a mid range. It’s actually a full range driver. But it doesn’t act like a traditional driver with its off-axis response. It’s a very unique driver. Definitely check it out.

I am a bit inapt at various meter units are used but I’m really curious how the words relate to the sound and if a bigger space would make a difference in quality of sound. I know it’s impossible to share that unless people on our side have really good sound systems, but I enjoyed the video except I would’ve loved to hear the speakers.
