People say bringing Cayde back cheapens his death, and I’d agree if it happened immediately after Forsaken, but having several years in between almost makes his return even more impactful than his original death. It’s like an old friend rising from the grave to join us on the battlefield for one final stand
It could have been part of his purpose to sacrifice in forsaken to help us later like quigon did help Yoda (clone wars lost missions) after all in final shape cayde is Virgil to us being Dante

at the end the same guardian summons a void axe which is the new super/melee for void titan. the one jumpnig wears the same helmet as the one with the axe
Man hard to believe it’s been 10 years already. I still remember picking up Destiny for the first time right when it came out. I was a teenager back then, and now in a few years I’ll be 30. Time for one last ride guardians 😎.
Man hearing this just hurts man, I've fallen out of destiny after Forsaken, and came back for Witch Queen...almost none of my OG friends still play the game, me included. It's still kinda sad to see the story (so far) coming to an end

The old outbreak perfected puzzle was a real titan and hunter killer. I had to solo most of the cat run for a lot of people.

From the beta to now. Although I’ve had gaps in between these 10 years, Destiny has always been that game I will let consume me. Here’s to the finale we’ve awaited.

From Christmas 2014 I was there at the beginning. My light was lost for years after I lost my console, but it's spark burned once again a few years ago.
Years of reading, watching, following and dreaming, and I am here finally at the end of all things. It was an honor to be a Guardian, and it will be an honor to fight for humanity one last time.
Listening to the Ghost in this sequence just makes me tear up. I'm so glad I found this game. Eyes up, Guardians!

It's wild that whatever vision for The Final Shape existed when this trailer released would have been in our hands by now. Only 3 more months until the *hopefully* real release date. My most formative years were spent with destiny, friendships forged and lasting beyond the game, and to see the state it's in now as we sit on the edge of lightfall is tough. I don't know if i'll keep playing after TFS, after it's all said and done. But this expansion and its raid are it. They are the culmination of over decade of work, some of which was done by folks who are no longer a part of the company. Godspeed, guardians.

I'll admit I have been out of touch with Destiny for a long time now since the end of witch queen but I was there when this all began and I will be there when it ends with all of you, it's been an honor embarking on this glorious adventure with all of you guardians.
I agree I kinda fell out when Cadye died but now in a way I found my self back and ready for the last showdown
I remember getting the game when it first came out, having no idea what it was about. After playing a little bit I fell in love with the story and the gameplay. I started as a warlock then switched to hunter where it felt natural to me. I’ve been apart of the community since the beginning when I was in middle school. It’s bittersweet, but everything has an end. It’s been an honor fighting beside you guardians. Eyes up, one last time!
This may be our last fight, but it’s been one hell of a run. Lets finish what we started.

I started playing destiny 1 when I was 10 years old. One thing that always captivated me was the story from that game despite what everyone says about it, Even the destiny 2 story I love so much. My first experience with Destiny as a whole was when Destiny 2 launched, when the Red War was the only campaign. I was with Cayde when he died in Forsaken, I killed Uldren Sov and Calus. I’ve been through some hard trials in this game such as soloing my way to get the Recluse in 1 day and getting the OG Ikelos Shotgun before Beyond Light. I stopped playing a while back because it got boring and I didn’t feel like I wanted to continue.
But this, this has got me excited and ready for the end.

I've gone from being excited about this expansion to scared about it in the span of a week.
Pete sacks a bunch of competent-high level people because there wasn't enough pre-orders for Final Shape. Which ironically, the lay offs led to less sales than they would have had otherwise. Because people are that pissed at the layoffs (and rightly so) they're cancelling their existing pre-orders.

I love how intimate this trailer feels with Ghost quietly talking to us directly. I'd love to see "smaller," more intimate character moments like that. It packs an emotional gut punch.

Well. I joined back in the witch queen and man has this game gotten me hooked on to it. This universe is something that has made its way into my heart as one of my favorites. If this is the end, I'll go down fighting with all of my fellow guardians. Thank you destiny and bungie for the incredible game that this is and the experience of a lifetime

I bet the ending will be as terrible as the recent DLC lol. The way bungie's track record has been, I wouldn't be surprised they put most of their ending behind the lore you're only able to read about.
Rewatching this now and really listening to what ghost is saying makes me feel like our guardian is actually going to die, and need to rise again. I'm totally here for it.

I love the reprised version of “Journey” from the red war ❤ makes me a little sad after so many years with this game
I hope this plays in the game. Maybe even during the last stand phase against the witness in the raid.
Glad to be a part of this game, I've had my ups and downs with it but I love it. Sadly haven't been able to play it for a year or two, so I'll be watching from the sidelines :)

really hope that the vocals at 1:50 are a consistent leitmotif in the soundtrack. This expansion needs to have more of that feeling.
