- Recently had the wonderful chance to livestream the DIVINE FREQUENCY demo. Formerly a Doom mod, now well on it's way to becoming its own fully fledged retail game. Once again GZDoom creations are proving just how great they can be.
Also yes I re-upped it here because I put too much effort into this edit and I didn't want it to languish over on the second channel.

Played through the demo myself and loved every minute of it.
This is the first game in my adult life that has managed to scare me and give me goosebumps.
I'm sold on that store description alone
12:03 proves that Icarus could play a souls like and love it. I've had that exact reaction more times then a care to count. Just a whole lot of "Jesus Christ that was overkill."

@@ICARUSLIV3S I'm working on finishing it myself. I'm struggling to find the time through all the college projects. I just beat up the swamp monster. Very fun boss, would orbit-to-the-right-and-watch-half-its-combo-miss again. That's not a complaint, by the way. Figuring out stuff like that is half the experience .
Your edits are always great but the triple punch of the coordinates into Iron Lung into the "I'm under da water" meme was peak humor.
Played through the demo multiple times. Brawling feels so good.
That looks like a really good one, but the VHS filter needs to die in a watery grave, never to be seen again.
You can turn it off.
Not enough filters and post processing. You can almost see some of the assets still, and sometimes distinguish one place from another if you squint.
divine frequency was so fucking good. weirdly enough i managed to beat it without using that vitality injector thing somehow

while i havent played this game, cry of fear is among the bet, much better than total chaos.
Ive veen waiting for years for the full release.
I never understood that hate for Cry of Fear tbh. Maybe it's just because popular CZcamsrs played it like Pewdiepie. It was outdated in many aspects such as the monster AI, the story could've been better, but overall I don't really get why people dunk on it, especially for a free Half Life 1 total conversion.

Cry of Fear was not bad, and to call it a reddit game is completely non sensical. What even makes it a "reddit game"? You are hating on it because it is popular to hate on.
@@skully3242 It's a rather badly done mix of Silent Hill 2 "muh trauma" storyline mixed with mostly RE4 elements (insta-kill chainsaw enemies, frequent scripted chases) delivered as a janky-as-fuck shooter. Let's not forget the fuckton of EARRAPE
Dunno, this was marketed at some point as a System Shock type of game....maybe I imagined it or other Tubers called it that but I see nothing of that here. I see a game that is not even up to par with Total Chaos at its current state. Wandering around, in almost total darkness, pondering about what stats mean (that is not explained in the tutorial either), dark hallways where you either waste fluid for your lantern or you miss the opportunity to find detours that often lead to valuable loot. I just don't like this type of design. We got Siren, Countricide, we got Total Chaos for those who haven't played it yet...we got Selaco coming up, we got Relentless Frontier coming up. Those are only the "big titles" who knows what else is cooking. Divine Frequency in my opinion is in an identity crisis: it is clear that a lot of thought was put into this game, but then it comes across as something like Golden Light of Rose....seeks to be strange just for strangeness sake if that makes any sense.
