As someone named Colin, I have mixed feelings about that one game. On one hand, my name was in the video. On the other hand, RT now hates me.

As someone also named Colin, I concur.
Love how RT asks how this train station is still in business despite the fact that he himself has made plenty of murderous theme parks, restaurants, and more with no consequences.
He's got to get rid of the competition somehow

Moral of the story: that's what stranger danger looks like. A normal human face.
Well, that’s actually a good message, any stranger could be dangerous so keep on guard
For an even more realistic take on stranger danger, check out the podcast "Youre Wrong About" an the episode "stranger danger". It uncovers that a lot of the fear we were taught is completely unnecessary. TLDR: your own family is several orders of magnitude more likely to hurt, kidnap, or kill you than a random stranger.
Your comment is at 69. Nice.
This is true but you have to realize that the current generation of young adults were taught not to talk to random people on the internet. Especially if you were born not long after the world wide net. Speaking from experience I remember my parents telling me not to talk to strangers on the internet. This doesn’t exclude people who abuse their children or other underlying factors though.

Moral of the story; if you enter a haunted train, save the children. They might come back and rip their killer's arm off for you.

Watching the Twitch chat try to help RT with saving the kids was quite the treat.
The best part was when he broke the game (screen blackout) after reaching the -chemical factory- conveyor belt minigame.
Lol that was so funny
The funniest part is that for a bit we went and tried to actually do a blind playthrough of the part and even tried to get strategies based on the sounds, still there was no way to do that blind

40:22 & 40:47 so this confirms that Elenore A. Birch is the missing child and the creep. they were wearing the same jacket. Kinda creepy because the adult Elenore looks approximately 30 so she's been missing (or dead) for 15-20 years and her poster was still up.
so she goes around murdering people cause she's been missing for 30 years?
It's seriously bugging me out why it's not made clear why this otherwise normal looking person is going around killing kids.
But then why is she a murderer?
@@Asocialite__ I have a theory. There was a heck of a lot of "personal hell"-ish imagery in this game, and some of the spookier moments (most of Colin's game, the bear turning evil, the thing between the early cars) were devoid of context. The killer's flashing eyes might imply that there's a demon facilitating this cursed train, and she's taking advantage of it/being manipulated by it. Fortunately, thanks to the victims, the hauntings work both ways.
@@Asocialite__ @SpongyTrout i personally think the killer is dead and taking her revenge on other kids like she was
RT didn't do the Best Ending to the game, which you apparently get when you play the game after midnight after getting the Good Ending.
*SPOILERS*
You end up playing a ghost with a skull mask. As you go through the cars, you come across the Killer just before she attacks her victims, who, upon seeing you, abruptly stops her murder attempt and leaves the car and her would-be victim behind. It then flashes to our cross shirt protagonist, who goes through a slightly skewed version of the minigames but with the central mechanic replaced with the skull mask. This repeats for the rest of the victims, with a notable mention going to the twins Kiki and Colin, where we see Kiki fleeing leaving her teddy and Colin behind (thus explaining why her mechanic revolves around making a stand after being reminded of her brother: guilt for leaving him behind). This continues up to the very end, where we see both the first girl and cross shirt girl sitting down across each other and the Killer just moving past them, not paying them attention.
We get to the car that is presumably the Killer's home, and the skull mask ghost sits down next to the Killer. The ghost takes off the mask, revealing herself to be Jacklyn Birch. We then cut to playing as the Killer, who has a haunted expression on her face. When she gets off the train, we see all her previous victims are actually alive and well thanks to weird time shenanigans. Our 2 previous player characters are talking amiably, Julia is with her fish, Rose and her dog are on the pay phone, Kiki and Colin are getting scolded by their parents, Benny is stomping on his suit, Jessica is still on her computer listening to her tunes, and Victoria is still contemplating her painting. As she leaves the subway, the Killer (whose name is Eleanor Birch) looks back forlornly at Jacklyn , who simply offers a sad wave goodbye. And that's where the game ends.
So yeah, Jacklyn went missing and died somehow on the subway, and Eleanor, who must have been a loved one (either sister or mother), went crazy and started murdering other people because of that.

I'm not even 2 1/2 minutes in, and I think this game is already in my Top 5 favorite video game art styles of all time. Oxenfree is at the top of that list, but this reminds me of a sort of inverse of that. Oxenfree has stylized 3D characters in a world that looks like a 2D painting, while this has 2D characters moving around in 3D environments. Of course, it's easier to put 2D characters in a 3D world than vice versa, but to do it so well and make it look so good is seriously impressive.

What do you mean sudden explosions aren't a good death effect
Quite a few segments involved trial & error gameplay, this is fine when deaths are quick and you can try again instantly but if the deaths are slow (like with an animation playing on every death) it gets frustrating really fast.
