I like the piece you made to contact the spring retainer, I’m going to borrow it! You can see why I added the long PVC pipe on the handle of my tiny drill press, it adds leverage. Trying to do those snap rings with only one good arm is a challenge for me so I try to find ways to work around it. Thanks for the shout out, I’m glad the press idea helped! JD
Headflowinc has so much info in his videos! I ported my heads because his videos convinced me I could. Lol between his th400 vids and yours I am attempting to build mine.

I was thinking about dual feeding my direct drum without a trans-brake. anyone see any problems with that? It's for an LSA blown truck. Any feedback appreciated.
If the idea of dual feeding the clutch pack is to add more surface area on the piston to be pressurized doesn't drilling a hole in the chamber that is being pressurized bleed off the pressure?
The pressure in is so much greater than the fluid out that it doesn't matter. The hole is just to help relieve fluid when piston is not applied to prevent centrifugal apply of the piston when drum is spinning fast and tossing fluid to the outside of the drum.

So I seen a check ball on the apply piston does it affect anything.

Having the 4L80e background, is this almost fun to work on like I predicted for you? It's got to be more rewarding to know you did it yourself and know the level of attention that was paid to your trans.
