For the jets to allow the fewest goals this season, I didn't see this coming. Didn't think the Avs would be able to light up Hellibuek like they are. And you can definitely tell the Avs have changed things up in their own zone to help Georgiev.

Definitely cleaner defensive zone play, and to average 5.5 goals in 3 games thus far has me way less nervous than I was pre playoffs. I didn't even really mind the first loss just seeing them net 6 felt like a win.

I haven't watched much Jets hockey this year so I didn't expect the 3rd period collapse. As an Avs fan I was very nervous at the end of the second - it was great to see Georgiev's spectacular save on the breakaway after the 2 Jets goals, but it totally felt like Hellebuyck was gonna steal. Such an interesting goalie story this series - the high caliber CO offense vs Hellebuyck, and Georgiev just keeping his team in games; so far Georgie is winning the mental battle big time.

I keep it handy in case I forget how to pronounce Necas’s name when watching a Canes game. I feel like the announcers that do not bother to properly pronounce a guys name is either lazy, too busy to look up the rosters of the game they’re calling, or are doing it on purpose. Not many teams can skate with the intensity and 200-foot game the Avs bring to the ice. A few can, and others are built to beat us with strength or strong defense. As soon as I saw the Jets wanted to play like the Avs, I felt a lot more comfortable. Georgie still has his moments, but we can protect that and we don't really have another weakness.

I don't see what people see with the Jets; outside of an all time bad goalie performance and some horrid defensive lapses in game 1, Colorado is so obviously the better team. If Colorado isn't shooting themselves in the foot and for all of Hellybuck's regular season stats, if he never actually gets around to stealing some games, it doens't seem like there's any way Winnipeg can win the series.
The xG I'm seeing is 5.29 to 2.16 (more than a 3 xG discrepancy in a game is truly impressive), 4.03 to 2.75 and 4.5 to 3.65... all in Colorado's favor and Colorado is averaging nearly 14 more shots/game. You don't have much chance of winning the series when the chances are so lopsided.
