Reviewing Oilers vs Canucks Game Two

- I had a feeling this round would be a tougher watch as a fan. The Oilers were the better team through most of tonight's game, so the right team won.

Ian cole with a beauty
He might aswell put an oilers jersey on and celebrate the goal with them😂
@@Nickh4929tough play
Ian Cole, Eric Cole, same difference
Tonight, McDavid, Draisaitl, Ekholm, and Bouchard played 19 minutes together at EV. Shot attempts were 35-6 and scoring chances were 19-2 in favour of Edmonton, as they scored 3 goals and owned a 86 percent xG% in those minutes.
I don't know if you posted this before or after but at least give some credit to the person that physically wrote it
Oilers fan here. I don't know if it's always a good call for Edmonton to stack their first line: it feel too top-heavy in a lot of games. But if the other team has no answer, and it's dominating that hard, I guess I won't complain when its brought out on occasion.
I do think that having Draisaitl on line two does get more teammates contributing: that'd be my answer to Hockey Guy's wondering if a deeper team could just 'overload McDavid and Draisaitl's backs'. But once in a while, stacking line one is really something. Silov made some solid saves too!
@@Mejono10 right? It was a must win. You don’t have to stack that top line next game.
@@Mejono10it isn’t a good idea if the refs are using their eyes
@@Mejono10 But playing Draisaitl, McDavid and Hyman for almost 30 minutes a game, is not sustainable.
I keep seeing this series vicariously through the eyes of Arturs Silovs. For a guy that was chilling in the AHL not even a month ago, to see Connor McDavid steaming at you down the ice in a 2nd round playoff game has got to be one of two things - either the most thrilling and invigorating challenge you've ever had in your life, or the most terrifying nightmare you've ever had that takes the knees out from under you. But you know what? The kid's doing really good out there...Speaking of McDavid. I don't know if it was planned, but I suspect it was, and that it was a stroke of pure genius. He gets a pass across the VAN net, but he skates over it, leaving it for Ekholm who had a sneakier angle on the shot. This is what the Oilers do. I still think they are the most dangerous team in the West, and I'm actually impressed that the Canucks are playing them at the level they are...Yeah, this thing is going six, if not the whole seven...
Oh, crap. I just watched the Ekholm goal again and you might be right. That might have been been a pass from McDavid.
Cole had no business positioning his stick that way. 100% his fault.
Add it to the other 3 from game 1 that were 100% his fault
If he didn’t then the pick was going to Hyman for his 65th tap in of the year.
NHL players don’t position their stick like that
silovs really didn't need to use his pad to cover a pass so far out of the goal, he could have got that with his stick, but really both were responsible for what happened
@@maxwellmawji240 His job is to tie Hyman up. If he has to use his stick to break up a shot pass like that, he needs his body turned away from the net with his stick pointed up ice. A veteran like Cole knows better.
Refs: “Quinn you gotta get off the ice your face is bleeding”
So rude quinn 😡 we are trying to play a gentleman's game 🏒
😂
As an oilers fan, I can empathize with Canucks fans about the backwards ref logic. The same thing has happened to some our players on different occasions.
I do believe that bleeding should be an automatic review to see if there was a penalty that caused it.
@@Omega_Vince Literally the same thing happened to Hyman in the first period and people are pretending the Canucks also didn't get away with one as well.
@@SkynertiaHyman threw himself at a stick that was not high, Hughes had a stick brought up on him ON PURPOSE and drew blood. And Kane that dirty blasters slew footed Hughes into the boards
Look at that board.
What a work effort. I haven’t wrote that much since highschool (10 years), Shan is doing it every night!
This is why I trust and respect Shann (THE Hockey Guy).
I thought the skinner taunts were ill-timed and that they should have been pumping petey, backing boeser and nerving up nikita rather than slamming skinner
Ah, alliteration. 👍
Ian cole day dreaming in OT and puts it in his own net. Brutal
He desperately wanted to get a goal and didn't care which team he scored it for. Mom demanded he get a point, and he was gonna get one dammit!
You say day dreaming, I say getting in the prime scoring areas. Smart play by Cole, good instincts.
@@George__Parasol279 great stick on that play
A lot of Canucks fans didn’t seem to realize that win McDavid has a “bad” playoff game he gets 4 or 5 points the next one lol. I’ll admit it was really brutal missing that high stick double minor on Hughes, but they also missed a high stick right in front of the net, not off to the side of the ice on Hyman so I don’f feel too bad.
Yes, it clearly should be a penalty for high stick on Hyman. It looked like it was an attempt to lift his stick but it might be on purpose too. But situations were not the same and I'm not saying about blood.
High stick on Hyman was near the net in the end of the period. It was dangerous situation and d-men tried not to let a goal.
McDevid on the other hand hit Hughes in neutral zone when Oilers has a puck. It was clearly intent to injury. McDevid is just too good as a player. He is one of the best active player in NHL.
Honestly, other years, i probably would be mad at the refs or something else, but I thought that the Canucks played good but oilers played better.
Hopefully Canucks play better next time
The better team won in both games. Refs were pretty crap last night, but it did go both ways. They missed a high stick for both teams, I think the 2 holds against Oilers players were pretty soft calls. And I'm not sure how Draisaitl got called for roughing when he never threw a punch. Regardless, it is what it is. Kinda average for NHL reffing standards... It's a best out of 5 series now with home ice advantage shifted to the Oilers.
@@mNagDraisaitl got called because they didn’t want to call the legit 5 on 3 after Miller sucker punched both 97 and 29 in the face during the scrum unwarranted.
Ian Cole positioning his stick to tip the puck in the net like he’s an Oiler… this guy needs to be a healthy scratch next game. Officiating is always going to be brutal, but tonight it was extra brutal.
Yeah, they missed the high stick on Hyman at the end of the 1st and the too many men during the Zadorov goal.
For real. That was nucking futs
yeah i almost feel like it balanced out though. too many men + high sticking minor missed against the canucks, then a 4 minute high sticking against the oilers missed. kind of balances out when you think about it
@@retrovibez1176 add a couple slew foots and an interference to that tally lol
@@retrovibez1176 disregard blatant slew foot’s.
Ian Cole thought he was playing for the Oilers tonight
*AGAIN tonight. He was a beauty in game one too. I think he is officially a liability.
Only tonight????? He was single handedly responsible for 3 goals against in the last game too…. Why is he not a healthy scratch??? Oilers have scored 8 goals and Cole has been responsible for 50%
He's been the Oilers MVP all Series
Even perfected his stick angle right before the puck arrived
Trade you him for Nurse?
What a series..watching this postseason hockey so incrementally impactful every shift.
Thanks again for these videos Shannon, always love watching these after the game.I know you put a lot of efforts into these. Thank you 🙏
Love the content keep it up!
Waiting for Cole to start playing for the Canucks
We’ll take Cole if you take Ceci. Ceci, like Cole with the Canucks, is negatively impacting the Oilers.
Heel turn
Yeah there was a lot of missed calls (for both teams) and yeah Cole is terrible...but I can't be the only one to think that the Canucks were really bad tonight. So sloppy, straight up giving the puck away, passing was terrible, couldn't get the puck out to save their lives, and every time they went up, they handed a goal on a silver platter to the Oilers almost immediately afterwards...the ONLY thing that kept them in this game was Silovs. They have to play way better next game, which they can do, I've seen it in person many times this year. I believe!
Myers was reaaaally bad tonight too. Soo many missed passes that led to turnovers or icing calls. Canucks played a good first half then they gave up in the 3rd. Need to play smarter hockey in game 3 if they are going to win game 3
I feel like the Canucks played like we played in game one in a lot of ways. It will be interesting to see how it goes in a game where both teams play well.
@@NerdAlert66 Yeah I kind of feel like Myers gave McDavid that easy breakaway goal too
@@sillythygoosethat was on Soucy. He pinched trying to make the big hit in Hyman, taking himself out of the play (and missed the hit entirely). Myers… did what he could lol but he was trying to cover for Soucy at least, who made a bad decision.
@@sillythygoosehe fell. McDavid does that to panicking d men a lot. That is not an easy job.
great analysis Shannon I enjoyed your video I like all the different kinds of jerseys you have 😊
McDrai played like that because its must win road game, with drai nursing a minor injury. I expect regular lines with the oilers at home. Knob wont run mcdrai 25+ for 3-5 more games straight.
Brutal missed calls, yikes
Thanks,Shannon.I like your work as a hockey fan displaced to Florida.
Edmonton from the start of the third period wanted it more. Vancouver was on their heels and definitely looked a step behind.
Kelly Sutherland is one of the worst refs in the nhl and the fact that he has a job is stunning
One day Mcdavid will pass the cup to Kelly Sutherland
@@tros5447 if they win the cup he better get a ring from the team 💀
The Angel Hernandez of NHL officials you say?
For both teams. McDavid gets interfered every possession especially on that 4x4. Nuge’s second especially was soft as charmin. Hughes absolutely should have gotten a 4 mins for that high stick, Vancouver should have had too many men, a trip on Kane, a cross check via Ian Cole who decided to cross check Foegle in the face. Could have had 10 PP’s each the way this game took place.
and cue the vancouver fan whining about the officiating
Fan of your passion and making it a youtube channel. Respect
The Oilers in five. McDavid was resting the entire regular season and still managed to put 130+ points on the table.
He might carry them past the Canucks, but that's as far as they go. He couldn't singlehandedly carry them past Dallas, or Colorado.
Don't sleep on RNH, Evan Bouchard, and Zach Hyman.
Ask LA how that worked out.
I didn't think the Oilers outplayed the Canucks in the first two periods. it was pretty even. But,man, the Oilers completely dominated the third period. it was like watching a pit bull fighting a chiwawah. The Oilers just wanted it more in the 3rd than the Canucks.
Great game tonight
Maybe i was deaf after game 1 cos the Canuck fans were crowing & yelling how McDavid was "closed down" & "finished" cos today i don't hear any Vancouver smugness or noise of any sort tbh after he just owned their team + put Quinn Hughes away in his toy box!! Here in the UK our footy fans chant "your not singing anymore!"
Ian Cole better not be in a Canucks jersey next season. Edmonton was the better team tonight I hate to admit.
The Hockey guy is the only Canucks fan all Oiler fans can actually respect.
Thats true. I find most Canucks fans insufferable. THG is a gem.
Because he's actually logical

The Kelly Sutherland experience didn't disappoint tonight. Absolutely abysmal official.
Both teams got screwed, should have had at least 5-6 PP’s each which imo is better hockey.
@@Dawg4764 minute high stick. No it was not even. Did you read the rule book in Brail by chance?
100%
@@jordannewman177 Dude they missed a clear interference on that 4 on 4 with McDavid getting decked. Missed a slash on Ekholm, missed a trip on Kane I could go on and on but Edmonton wasn’t the one with a BC born Vancouver Ref so save the tears buddy.
Guess you missed Hyman eating a stick as well that went uncalled. I know, it's that selective vision that goes around during the playoffs. Go see your optometrist tomorrow.
And we have a series let’s go Oilers.
The obvious double minor that was avoided was brutal.
100%!
It happens. And it was brutal.
What are your feelings about the missed too many men call that should have been called against the Canucks right before Zadorov scored?
was it really? they missed a bunch of obvious calls on the canucks so they high stick was well deserved they also got a lot more powerplays then the oilers got.
the obvious hand pass that leads to a canucks goal in game 1 was equally brutal. hockey gods evening it out.
Hell of an effort for Mcd, but also Draisaitl was a monster as well with 4 pts.
He wasn’t even supposed to play! Absolute playoff beast!
I agree the right squad won tonight but that non call on the high stick that drew blood…. Oy that’s a bad look
so was the high stick straight into hymans face and the missed to many men on the ice call leading to a goal. went both ways pall don’t be so biased
Man, HG...with the upload so quick.
Sutherland should never ref an NHL playoff game again. Not just cause the Canucks are now 0-8-1 when he refs in our games, but because that was the worst reffing I’ve ever seen in a playoff game.
You're absolutely right. The Canucks should've been penalized every time the McDavid line was on the ice. That's not an exaggeration either.
and cue the vancouver fan whining about the officiating
@@Gandaulf1961so you think Hughes bleeding from McDavid’s high stick was a good non call? We have a right to be upset, the same way you have a right to be upset Canucks got away with too many men that led to a goal. The reffing was bad this game.

So the Avs the only team that can match Oilers in speed? Oilers out there looking like the 2015-16 Penguins.
I love you, Shannon. You're a consummate professional.
Brutal way to lose. But not surpised Oilers won considering how few shots Vancouver had in the 3rd and overtime
Totally agree…. Skinner was there for the picking tonight to bad the Canucks couldn’t get more shots on him he looked very leaky and fragile.
@@fredbrandl880I disagree respectfully. He let in one very bad goal from cheating low, but other than that, he let in a fortuitous (not lucky) deflection from the point and a great power play one timer. He had a couple timely saves and one massive one. Silovs had a good game too though despite the result.
@@George__Parasol279 I hear what you’re saying I agree. He did make some good saves but he looked a bit leaky if he had more shots but who know
The Canucks are playing like the 06-07 Nucks team that excelled defensively, but sucked at scoring.
Shannon makes a great point at 9:00 about McJesus taking over a game. I started watching hockey in 1968, and Bobby Orr was the best I’ve ever seen in that regard!
''McDavid is carrying his team on his back''
''He had FOUR points tonight!!!''
Leon Draisaitl with a 4 points night also and 16 points in 7 games : :(
Sorry man, Draisaitl rides McDavid's coattails. He would still be a pretty good player on another team, but he wouldn't be as good as he is on the Oilers. Just like Hyman.
@carletonrutherford1799 a bit of a dubious claim as Draisaitl is usually NOT on the same line as McDavid…
Nah nuks were lucky to be in ot with that 3rd.
Oilers lucky to make it to OT with the missed calls
The king of Leon is unbelievable
Good bounce back game on the road for McDavid and the Oilers
We need to be talking more about Draisaitl, fir me he has been even better than McDavid in the playoffs thus far. Another 4 points tonight
Drai is a beast when it comes to playoff hockey…he’s always great in the playoffs!…I just hope and pray that he stays in Edmonton…
@@dianedyck3474 I just watched a video that showed Draisaitl has the biggest increase in points from regular season to playoff hockey, out of any player in history.
They are 2nd and 3rd all time points per game in the playoffs
True, imho you can visually see he's putting more effort, energy and speed in all his actions compared to the regular season.
They are such a great duo.
The Oilers don’t have to ride that top line so hard next game. Had they lost, it would be Leon, Connor and Zach until the end of the series. A win tonight, allows the coaching staff to mix things up and try to find some depth scoring. Kane needs Draisaitl and maybe RNH can move to more of a shutdown role or spark someone in the bottom six.
Agreed. Was exactly the right time to load up the big guns and it paid off. They played what, five minutes above their average TOI in the playoffs to this point so clearly that was not what they’ve been trying to do in terms of minutes. But edging out this win was huge and it insulated Draisaitl (which he ended up not necessarily even needing)
no way my guy switched out of the canucks gear and put on the oil drip for the review
goat
It was a good game, and it could have gone the Canucks way. If someone had told me at the outset that it would be 1-1 after 2, I wouldn't complain. If it's 2-2 after 4, I also won't complain.
Oilers have been getting depth this playoffs so far. I think it's just the story of this game. Coach new that mcdavid was going to be god tier this game, and then was pleasantly surprised that draisitle was playing way better than expected. Moving drai to affects the chemistry of line 2 so there wasn't much to do other than play the hot hand. The depth is there, it's just a matter of that first line being such a dominant option. If skinner let's in 2 or less, or if shilovs let's in more coach would have rolled lines
Is Ian Cole playing for the Oilers? So far in the series he's got two goals and one assist for Edmonton. 🙃
Nice jersey 👊🏾
Shannon, if the Canucks win the Stanley Cup, are you willing to organize a European meetup in Riga ? (because Silovs is from Latvia and I think Blugers too)
not giving drat enough credit, he’s a big part of this too.
This was a good game. Regardless of which team makes it to the WCF, they'll be worthy. It'll be very interesting to see who makes it out of this series.
Win or Lose the cancucks have some things to be excited for in their Roster, top of the list should be Silovs.
The difference in playoff experience is coming into focus in this series, too.
Edmonton needed to win this game no matter what and they did.
Also R.I.P. to the 100% PK stat, gone but not forgotten and forever in our hearts.
Has there ever been a series where the teams do like each other?
“Yeah, Darren, these teams really like each other - great pals all-around.”
“Absolutely, Coach. This should be a nice friendly game of good old-fashioned hockey tonight. Might even see some hugs on the handshake line.”
I know everyone will say refs but as unbiased party how was the high stick not reviewed I thought blood is automatically reviewed. I know it’s mcDavid but it was obvious it didn’t help that he got a call right after
its automatically reviewed if its called a penalty seen not just cause someones bloody, but the canucks score with blatant too many men right after so it evens out even though pp 4 min isnt guaranteed goal but the too many men was.
@@boredomdyingofit8205 He probably should have laid on the ice until the refs blew the whistle. The Benn hit on Toews wasn't called a penalty immediately either, but when they saw him on the ice, they blew the whistle and assessed a major so they could review it.
@@jefflarson1652 They would blew it because player was injured, but they thought Hughes was caught by a follow through so they still wouldn't review it.
@@keldzh RNH had the puck. McDavid didn't even come close to playing it. Not sure what you were watching.
I’m not sure either team has a chance against the Stars or Avs?!
Not likely tbh
fact
Keep going this way, and it will be called The Battle of Canada.
I love how mcdavid accidentally on purpose slashes sousy and he just cross checks him in the face
What a game
Turnovers and failure to make simple plays like simple breakout passes really frustrated me watching as a Canucks fan. Somehow they need to play more in the oilers zone to at least wear out the oilers top guys
Good luck with that lol
The west is a lot more competitive than the east.
Both west series are barnburners
Kelly Sutherland and Ian Cole have to be first and second stars here
What a time for your best goalie to be out. I told him, LTIR dude, it sort-of works for Vegas.
But you're not supposed to LTIR in the playoffs. LOL! That's not how it works.
Ya know, I really hate how late these games are. So many great comebacks and thrilling ending I've been missing because "oh I have work in the morning" 😮💨😮💨😮💨
What a way to end a game! Now we go back into Edmonton all tied up
As a Canucks fan that was what I feared after game one. I was saying to anyone I talked to, that if they lost game 2 and went back to Edmonton tied up, it is going to be bad for them. Well, here we go.
Cole is brutal! Played great shift in the other comeback win vs Nashville, but after that?
I think even if Edmonton gets past Vancouver they would be relatively fine against both Colorado and Dallas. Although both are deep teams the Oilers should be good, our defense is solid our depth will show up when we need them two. Holloway has looked good and is providing good effort and energy when he plays and in the first game I thought Brown played really well kinda hope he gets another chance.
Van is hanging in there with a 3rd string call up goalie against one of the best scoring teams in hockey. That's impressive.
A few years ago someone said if you hold McDavid to 2 points a night do the Oilers have enough scoring to win. I don't know the answer to that question but if he scores 4 every night it doesn't matter anyway.
The other problem with that is if McDavid “only” gets 2 points in a game, there’s a bunch of guys like Draisaitl, Hyman, and Nugent-Hopkins who are perfectly capable of contributing. The Oilers are not a one trick pony…
Some bad reffing, sure. But yeah, oilers were the better team. Rather, 3 oilers were outstanding, and the Canucks couldn’t answer.
Bright side. Pettersson finally scored and looked a bit dangerous. Hoglander looked a bit better.. If that line could get going it's huge. Special teams were a wash tonight. If the Canucks can continue that I like their chances 5 on 5. Also I think the Canucks can make adjustments and hold McDavid and Draisaitl back to the point Edmonton will need other contributors. Finally if they keep playing them physical I think they can wear them down with the long minutes they are playing.
Edmonton might have the better odds, but Vancouver is dangerous. Their biggest reason why? Their coaching. It’s not over until it’s over. However, if Edmonton wins both games at home, Vancouver is finished. If Vancouver can split the series, Edmonton is in trouble.
I agree with your analysis. Canucks absolutely have to win at least one of the next two if they’re to win this series. Ditto for Oilers tbh. We’ll see what happens…
When did we sign Cole? He’s pretty good!
Its frankly fascinating the Oilers can win games at 60% of what they are capable of
Hockey guy is the best
Shows alot of mental toughness from the oilers blowing game 1 that bad to game 2 where they didn't lead once but got the win in ot
3rd period for canuks was troubling being stuck in their own zone for so long. Pretty good for an AHL tender. Big Z not as lovable as Kuzy but if he can keep scoring and give that silly grin its a start; surprised himself with that goal
Cole had it but the goalie blocked his stick from stopping the puck. IMHO
Draisaitl and MCDavid involved in every goal the oilers got. Crazy
What's crazy is they both have the best points per game increase from regular season to play offs. Every other top player like lemieux Gretzky Mackinnon kuch all have a decrease
Boy!!!! That jersey makes you look like a Golden man!!! Gotta wear it more often outside of home! Go Oilers
If the Canucks win this series, does Silovs get a statue or just a heroic ballad? He has been awesome.
I mean, he's been solid. But he let in 4 goals and had a .870 save percentage last night (and this was his better of the 2 games). Hardly hero numbers. I'm more impressed by how good Vancouver's defensive support is. Oilers very often get like 35-40 shots in a game in the regular season. Canucks are suppressing the shots a lot.
He has not been awesome lol
He was “good enough” in game 1, looked better in game 2, but nothing to write home about.
Ian Cole has got to sit for the next game. He is pretty much responsible for half of the Oilers goals this series...
When is Demko expected back?
Game 5
So, how does a team win consistently in the playoffs when they have less than 20 shots on net in most of their games? The answer, they don't. No matter how questionable the opposing goalie is, when you can't even hit 20 shots on net in a game, chances are you are going to lose. Edmonton is not blocking shots like Nashville did, there is no excuse for that. Make the goalie work for it FFS. And by the way, when is Demko back? Not blaming Silovs, but I would feel less unconfident if Demko was in net.
And we know already Juulsen won't replace Cole or Myers. Even tho he is a big hitter and won't take no prisoners
Hello, my name is Ryan Nealon.
Please forgive any grammatical or punctuational errors. I do have a slight case of dyslexia. Therefore, I’m using a sister technology on the Apple iPhone. I do have a question for you. I’ve always liked your play-by-play of the game afterwards I’m wondering if you actually have a video on how NHL contracts are broken down.
He talks about contracts and free agency and the salary cap but i don't know if he has specific videos just on contracts. Btw i have a form of dyslexia as well.
I think you're right ... Edmonton may very well win this series, but they will be totally gassed by the next round or the next (the finals). It means no Stanley Cup for Canada.
There was only one shot on the Oilers net while Ekholm was on the ice. He's the most important player on the team imo.
It seems pretty stupid to me to heckle/taunt any team that has McDavid on it...
It's the playoffs, what do you expect? They weren't taunting him.
You should mention the non call when Hyman got high sticked at the end of the 1st period if you’re going to mention the Hughes high stick non call.
There is no reason not to mention it. It should be a penalty. But it was in front of the net in dying seconds of the period. It was a dangerous situation and defencemen acted accordingly.
On the other hand McDevid did it in neutral zone when his team has possession. There was no any danger. Can we really believe that one of the best players it the league just mishandle his stick in no pressure situation against one of the best players of the other team who didn't even attacks McDevid?
So yeah, high stick against Hyman should have been called and it would be an okey play by a d-man. But the high stick by McDevid was a clear intent to injury. Not even a legal hit. Do we really think it should be allowed?
@@keldzh a high stick is by nature a dangerous play and a penalty so no matter if it’s in the dying minutes or not it should have been called and it angered objective observers whereas it seems Canucks fans only cared when the high stick on Hughes was missed.
Most just want honest objective penalties called not only when it benefits a team we support. Like that too many men miscall directly led to a goal where as you put it Mcdavids high stick was in the neutral zone not impacting a direct scoring play.
@@barstar888 but I didn't say one high stick shouldn't been called and another should. I said both were missed (more precisely, I think, the high stick on Hyman was missed and the high stick on Hughes looked like a follow through). My point was that the high stick by McDevid looked really dirty. This is what I dislike. But I absolutely agree that rules are rules and should apply for both teams. I didn't like refs missed high stick on Hyman despite the fact that I cheer for Canucks.
Can you tell me more about too many men? I saw many comments about it and rewatched the play near the goal but couldn't find when there was too many men. And I totally understand how you feel in this case because I still mad about similar situation when Boston scored short handed in regular season couple months ago :(
@@keldzh the play that preceded Zadorovs goal if you scan back you’ll see 6 forwards on the ice at once while they have possession and at the last minute a Canuck player is headed off and within 5 seconds Zadorov is skating wide for his goal. The refs blew the call even though the entire oilers bench was howling. Oilers are used to getting screwed by the refs every postseason. Will see what happens tonight but the refs better call it even or don’t call anything.
@@barstar888 thanks, found it. Zadorov and Lafferty were heading to the bench. Lafferty was changed by Boeser but when Oilers cleared I guess Zadorov decided not to change and a defenceman who was changing him had to jump back on the bench.
Why do you make it sound like it was all mcdavid when draisaitl had 4 points too? I feel like he gets no respect for how good he is.
Most underrated player in the league.
Refs did miss that McDavid high stick 100% however they also missed Hyman getting high sticked with 3 seconds left in the 1st and the fact that no one is talking about it annoys me. I can’t believe both calls were missed
All I am reading is that the reffing was brutal in that game. If the Oilers had lost again, you had better bet the Oilers fans would be losing their minds complaining about it. The Canucks lost. so their fans are losing their minds. Especially with the fact that the the Canucks have a history with Kelly Sutherland.
I'm worried about my oilers cause it's the same thing every year are stars are playing but we don't have that bottom 6 player stepping up for us to go on a run
The law of averages works in mysterious ways
