    Good job, you don't need to remove the motor to that service. Also you forgot to check/service the metal axle at the end of the brush roll. A lot of jambs happen there.

    Great vid, fixed mine! Small warning, WD-40 is *not* a lubricant, do not use it here! Rather it is a solvent, meaning it will dissolve any dirt, but will also dissolve the existing lubricant!

    Thank you! I had just replaced the battery on my V6Flexi when the brushbar started behaving just like this. I was looking around for a new motorhead as my usual cleaning didn't fix the problem. Ridiculous price if you can find one as it looks like this model might be on the way out. Anyway, watched your video and decided to give it a go as it was next to useless as it was. So happy now as it works really well again and hopefully will keep going for quite a while.

    You just help me fix a 6 years old V6 and save 75€ for a new brush. Just spent 10€ on screwdrivers.
    No hairs stucked on my case, i just blew some WD40 grease on the inside the spin under the shaft and now it's working!

    Great video, enabled me to disassemble the brush head and get to the drive rotor that was seized. In my case not by hair but I think accumulated dirt inside the bearing. A few good squirts of WD40 front and back fixed the problem.

    More to than this , i have come to the conclusion that there is a design flaw in the overload circuit , it cuts in to quick .I have tries 2 brush bars one the same as the video and a new smaller one it still cuts out , release the trigger and restart and it spines again .It has good battery life and works fine with non motor attachments

    I prefer the v6 over the new Dysons , the new dysons break so fast, I gave my v6 to my dad and he still loves it to this day, I bought a fluffy head for it since otherwise the main floor bits useless for hard floors

    • @parwaz7861
      @parwaz7861  Před rokem

      They’re quite reliable aren’t they! They’re approaching 10 years old now, and apart from the battery they just keep on working like new with good motors! If they have the direct drive heads those last way longer than the flat DC59/V6 Animal floortools

    • @uhno123no9
      @uhno123no9 Před rokem +1

      Yes the v6 we had must be about 7 or 8 years old, haven’t had to replace the battery on it yet but I think it’s approaching that time since it lasts a couple of seconds in max mode. It’s had new filters , and the cyclone has been taken apart and cleaned. But it still works brilliant like day 1

    • @parwaz7861
      @parwaz7861  Před rokem

      @@uhno123no9 Interesting! Has max mode been used much on it? I’ve heard of someone who had a Dyson V6 for 7 years without a battery replacement because they never used boost mode, quite cool!

    • @uhno123no9
      @uhno123no9 Před rokem +1

      @@parwaz7861 yes most likely it was used on max mode quite a bit as the suction isn’t the best without the floor head, I found you had to use max mode on particularly dirty car mats

    • @uhno123no9
      @uhno123no9 Před 11 měsíci
